    Love this dental practice! So professional and friendly and the office is spotless. River Run has multiple offices, I visit the one on Scrader Rd. I've only been a patient for a year, though in that time I've had 2 cleanings, a crown and an occusal guard, every visit has been great. The team is efficient yet personable. They take the time to explain what they are doing, billing and answer questions. The waiting room is open and comfortable. They offer coffee, tea, water and snacks while you wait. A plus for me is they have apps as early as 630am so I can go before work.

    I have never ever ever ever enjoyed dental visits ( I mean who does?)! I had a few good dentist, with nice dental offices, but nothing prepared me for the experience I had today! My tooth was bothering me, and I don't play when it comes to my teeth. I have crossed paths with many Yuck Mouth's in my life, I'm shook! My insurance coverage provider emailed me a list of practice's, and of course I research everything they send me, or I try lol. I was intrigued by the name of the practice. What the heck is a Dental Spa? I have been to spa's before, but never heard of, or been to a dental spa. I googled the practice and they looked good to me, so I called and scheduled an appointment. I arrived and followed the practice's COVID protocol. I responded to the text I received indicating I should wait in the car, until someone comes for me. I received a text message guiding me through everything regarding my visit, it's so amazing!! They communicate efficiently. I received a call immediately regarding my insurance. They wanted to make sure I'm not billed unnecessarily. I received a text directing me to the electronic medical forms, ( I hate paper and having to complete documents in the office) and I didn't have to create an account either!! It's the little things. I received a reminder text, which is perfect since my calendar alerts have been screwing up! Thanks T-Mobile for the lousy service. Anyways, I was given a tour of the facilities, and it's amenities. Yes I said, "Amenities!" It's a dental spa for Pete's sake, of course it has bells and whistles. They have a snack and beverage station, (really nice one too!) The facility itself blew me away! I kept alluding, at it being a woman's idea, lol ( not that some guy's can't, but this is next level kinda stuff, IJS). I arrived to the exam room, and I was immediately greeted by the hygienist, who explained everything to me in detail regarding my visit. She then shows me a list of complimentary perks to make my visit oh so special. I thought I was being punked! I had her repeat it 3x's, and then processed what she told me, and then re-read it myself. Get this, you have the options of cold eye mask, relaxing scents, headphones, e-reader and some other comforting items. She asked me if I wanted the massage chair on, I thought I was home. I was about to kick off my shoes, and do the Al Bundy (Married with Children). I can't stop gushing over this place!! The customer service was on point! It was like a happy place, but for pain. I have other appointment's, so I have not actually had dental work yet, ( it was an emergency visit) but I will update after. They're doing things the right way! Don't take it from me, you have to experience THIS yourself!

    Thoroughly impressed with RRD. It has been over 3 years since I last visited the dentist and I was really anxious about coming in because I knew my teeth were in terrible shape. I pulled up, text the number and someone came outside to grab my temperature and ask Covid related questions which was great. Upon walking in, you have to double take and ask yourself, is this the dentist? Or a spa? It's SO nice. Complimentary snacks, coffee, tea, water etc. They also have a treat bag waiting for you when you arrive. It's SO nice. Both my tech and dentist had amazing bedside manners. They were both so empathetic and made me feel comfortable even though I knew my teeth were not in the best shape. That sort of empathy is what makes a difference!!! I definitely will be referring all my friends and family to this office.

    54 minutes and 39 seconds of being on hold, bc the receptionist doesn't want to go through the new patient data entry procedure.

    Currently on the phone for over 55 min. receptionist initially answered and was clearly disappointed to learn I am a new patient (her tone changed from cheery to nonchalant, terrible customer service) as though they prefer I hang up rather than go through the process to enter new patient information. If this office prefers new patients use the online process, then they need to communicate that to customers via automated answering service or verbally rather than create a poor first impression to a potentially new customer/patient. When putting someone on hold for a long time, in good faith, you should check up on them every few minutes. I'm still holding....... I'm sure the dentists are phenomenal, but the young lady handling my call needs to be counseled or worse.

    Impossible to contact by phone. The dental staff is fine, the atmosphere is relaxed... but if you have a problem, GOOD LUCK.

    Highly recommend Dr.Khan for when doing a root canal procedure! Also the place is really clean and well kept.

Today I did both at Tulips' Chesterfield office. I would have liked to have had the opportunity to bring my elderly mother to meet one of the periodontists, but didn't make it past the blonde receptionist that was full of attitude. Immediately upon giving my mother's name, she stated very rudely that they wouldn't be able to see her today, and that I would just have to take today's appointment time to complete her paperwork and schedule another appointment. After I made personal arrangements to travel in from out-of-town while quite sick myself to get my mother in from her nursing home for some complex dental care, and after taking time off from my 3 national businesses to get her there, and after calmly explaining to the receptionist that their website was down last night when I tried to pre-fill their patient paperwork (checked 4x last night), she proceeded to cop a disdainful attitude with, "Well, THAT's why we send you the links well in advance. YOU'LL just have to complete the paperwork now and come back ANOTHER time when WE can fit you in with an appointment." No apology for their website being down, no acknowledgement of the hassle we'd gone through to get my mom there. COULD. NOT. HAVE. CARED. LESS. Considering the procedure my mom would need to have would probably cover half or most of the receptionist's salary, I'm surprised that they have this person out front. The periodontists may be excellent - but we'll never know, because we'll be taking my mom's business elsewhere. God only knows how much business the person out front is costing them.

If Dr Whyte left for another practice, originally I would've followed him in a heartbeat. But the staff and office administration... There's texting options for contact which sounds great, right? Except you only get a response during business hours, which sorta defeats the purpose. If you text outside business hours, instead of getting a response back the next business day, as indicated by the auto response, you'd get left on read/ignored. I tried to get an appointment for a few weeks, and after chipping a tooth, texted constantly whenever I could until I finally got an appointment. I was told the "ONLY time available" was a specific day and time, no wiggle room, not even later in the day. No time in the coming weeks, just that day and time. So I rearranged my schedule, my two jobs, and I made it to the appointment. I got a text confirming my appointment for 15 minutes after I was told to be there, after I was already checked in. Wtf? Then time continued to tick by. An hour after I was told to be there, I was asked if I could come back the next day. Apparently an ongoing appointment was taking longer than anticipated. I'm not upset by someone else's appointment taking longer than expected, but I am upset that I was lied to about appointment availability since I was asked to come back the next day and l'd asked repeatedly for any later days, specifically the day offered, or later in the day appointment. I wouldn't have had to leave work early. I wouldn't have had to cancel work for my second job that day. Because they lied. So I won't be back to this location. I can't trust that I'll actually have an appointment. I can't trust that communication will occur or be honest if communication even does occur. If I can't trust them with an appointment, l certainly can't trust them with medical security, insurance, financial, or personal information. Beyond that, I had gone in for this "appointment" to fix a chipped tooth. That exact same tooth just chipped in the exact same place, like 3 months later, so clearly not lasting quality. This experience really makes me question the quality of previous work, no lie. I've enjoyed Dr. Whyte, but I don't know anymore. I can't even be mad, just disappointed that I trusted them so much. I even recommended this location to a coworker before all this happened. Edit to add: it's been less than two years and 3 teeth he's worked on are already messed up. A root canal indented. The tooth that chipped that he filled, fell out a few months later. Am upset tooth lost part of the siding. Less than 2 years after he worked on all of these teeth. You expect teeth to last at a MINIMUM of 5 years. One didn't even last 5 months. So now I have an adjoint with VCU Dental School to get xrays in a few weeks to fix what the accredited dentist messed up

He takes the time to answer all my questions and dive into things I don't understand. One thing I really appreciate about him is his honesty. I came to his office after a bad experience with another dentist. The other place wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount for a cavity. When I got his opinion on the cavity he laughed and told me what they were doing was unnecessary and more of a preventative measure. He said what the other place saw was very early signs of a cavity. He told me if I continued to take care of my oral hygiene, no cavity would come from that spot. I love the dental hygienists here too. There is one that always makes me laugh and feel incredible. She compliments my teeth and always picks the best flavors for the polishing toothpaste. The woman at the front desk is sweet and quick. She finds the best appointment in a matter of minutes. She is also quick to resolve problems over the phone. If you're looking for a great Dentist, come here!

As I entered the office I asked if I an appointment was available today for me to have a teeth cleaning. The receptionist told me yes that a 2pm appointment was available. I sent my insurance information via email as I was instructed to do so by the receptionist. While my husband was getting his teeth cleaned I over heard staff discussing a time for an extraction .... 2pm was given for that patient to come back at 2pm for extraction. I said I hope i still have my 2pm appointment. After my husband was finished I was told that the receptionist apologizes ... that I can not have my teeth cleaned at 2pm because 2pm was an extraction appointment. Then that they are booked up so I would not have an appointment for some time. I am so very truly upset. I was lied too. No adjustment was made to honor my appointment time of 2pm. There was also a price discrepancy however the $1200 was paid. Too many lies!!!
