I moved a few years ago and now I travel over 100 miles total round-trip to have him do my cleanings and anything I need done on my teeth; however, I haven't needed anything major done to my teeth because of the great care he and his team give me each and every time I visit them, which is every six months for a cleaning and exam. During my last appointment, Geovanna was the dental hygienist and she cleaned my teeth with extra care as she did the last time I was there! She is very gentle and does a very good thorough job. While Airr BB'ing in their neighborhood a year or so ago I came across the JK DDS office in a lovely house converted to dentist office on the corner and needed a 'clean and check' so thought why not give them a try. Fast forward to yesterday I had a small pain, (popcorn kernel emergency : ) I wanted them to look at and they immediately worked me in first thing in the morning and quickly took care of the issue. I'd like to give them a proverbial 'shout out' for a friendly warm genuinely kind and compassionate staff ~ from the front desk to the hygienist to the Dr to check out ~ this is a First class operation. 2 thumbs up 5 stars! All was well, even saw the transition of the main dentist son come aboard and being a father myself was great to see this from a Legacy perspective. In the last few years the quality of the people in the front desk, main the office manager has not only shocked me, but sad to see. My situation was this: I am a business owner and travel more at certain times, I have conveyed this for years as a patient/client relationship kind of deal: wife and kids visit this office, oh and also in-laws (they have recommended me to this office) so has been maybe even 20 years of family going to this office I would think, back to the issue: I go to an appointment and while sitting there was told hey, can we reschedule you for another date, I am a make lemonade out of lemons kind of person, so ok no problem, now have I missed some appointments due to travel time, yes, but would pay the $50 on top of co-pays. One day in speaking with the office manager she with a nasty energy said I can't make any appointments for you, I asked why and she stated that John does not want you as a patient, I was shocked and dis-belief, due to the relationship for years, it's not that dentist can turn anybody away, but for me whatever the reason was for was never discussed as hey, you missed 2 appointments and these are our rules, was a bit disappointed to see a business office handle this situation that way. One the office manager could have made the situation a situation that could have caused a bigger issue by the way it was handled, 2 the trust is broken by the way it was handled and now the office may lose 6 clients, due to one conversation that could have been had, sad to see, I hope the office manger does not destroy them or cause a major issue there

Everyone devoted into this lovely practice. Little story of my case, live in northern Virginia and found out Dr. Brown via my coworker, decided to give it a try and drove almost two hours to Richmond to have my my veneers done. After the first visit-initial consultation, I knew I am in a good hand who cares his patient. Dr. Brown not only gave me the options of veneers but also suggested using bonding(a much cheaper alternative). He also showed me the material and how my teeth will look like after getting all done. The office assistance Chelsea who is very friendly and most importantly very clear minded in her field of coordinating with patients need! I have to file with my insurance company and request several docs, Chelsea accommodated with my needs and arranged all in a timely manner! And the dental assistance Erica and Tracy(hope that is correct name)were both great and explained the procedure thoroughly to me during the whole process. I have the picture of my teeth after treatment and got my smile back on! Again, highly recommend this place! And I will bring my mom for her teeth consultation later on as well!

The sub level of post care from this dentist has left me in pain without any recourse…read more My procedure happened on October 30th and I was sent home with no post care instructions, just a remark by the assistant that I should be good to eat and feel all numbness go in 2-3 hours. I had to go back with days as the bite was painful even with drinking water. I am no dentist and can not self treat. I had to go back 2 second time with a week and the dentist waving his hands in the air simply said, he can't do anything!!! When I voice my frustration. He refused me any further treatment and said I could go see a different dentist. I followed a medical practitioner's advise to preventive care and am now left with pain and suffering, neither of which I had, had gone to his office for a free dental cleaning. This dentist is a nightmare and very unprofessional.

Everyone that works here so pleasant and kind. They never try and upsell me on teeth whitening or retainers. They just care about you and your teeth. They are SUPER busy but if you need an appointment they do get cancellations pretty frequently so they can probably squeeze you in.
