The staff began calling as many surgeons in the area as they could in order to find one in my network and get a benefits verification for me beforehand. This is without me even asking!! They could sense my hesitation and jumped on it. Meanwhile, the dentist massaged my jaw for a good 10 minutes. She called one of her colleagues who's an oral surgeon and got his opinion and i was able to avoid surgery all together thanks to his diagnosis and my dentist's thorough massage. I am so used to begging for care and having to navigate medical situations without assistance. But here, it felt like all hands on were deck to get me care & coverage, and I didn't have to ask for anything. I cannot recommend them enough. This is how healthcare should be.

I unfortunately had to move out-of-state, and he tried his best to help with my tooth problems before I had to move. He's knowledgeable, caring, and patient. He always tried to be conservative with the work he did on my teeth, focusing on the most important areas and didn't push expensive treatments on me that weren't 100% necessary. A lot of dentists I went to would 1.) look at my teeth and then decide on a plethora of things to do to them, without consulting me - and b) forget about the issues I had and/or not address them fully. Dr Davia always listened to my concerns and kept it simple, unless it was clear a more complex procedure was definitely needed. I wish I could give a bonus star for how painless the injections were (lots of dentists seem to rush this part and it causes a lot of pain and anxiety for me). Also the dental hygienist I saw, Kathleen, was so sweet and careful with my teeth. She was great at making me feel comfortable during my cleanings & always made me feel special.

He eased any worries I had about my teeth and let me know the next steps he wanted to do in my next appointment. I didn't feel like he was rushing with me . He was very genuine and kind. I was honestly very impressed with my service. The office isn't as fancy as your newer facilities or dental spa's. You can depend on the staff at Dr. Davia. He will not try to nickel and dime you for treatments or services.

We've been coming here for a few years and the dentists always compliment our teeth and have never pointed out any issues. I feel like they're honest! They know how to process insurance and they handle appointments very well (for rescheduling calling the office works better than online communication). Except for a long wait at one time while another patient was brought in and processed (not repeated) and a dental mistake by a trainee that was promptly remedied by Dr Shan I have had no other problems with this dentist over a period of many years. Dr Shan doesn't push for unnecessary dental work and she routinely takes x-rays to make proper diagnosis. She always explains what she observes and what she recommends with me. Dr Shan may not be a smooth talker but she is a competent and honest dentist and that is what a patient primarily needs. I recently left town and have to find a new dentist but dental businesses that are run as well as Glenside are hard to come by. I expect to find it hard to replace Glenside Dental.

This practice has poor bed side manner and is designed to squeeze every dollar that they can out of you. I do not recommend this practice to anyone seeking care. Setting up appointments was rather simple and the office was technology forward, clean, bright and new. The building was recently renovated and they have a large parking lot. However, it was obvious that behind their fancy facade lies the drive to pad their bottom line. My first check up here was pretty comprehensive with all the x-rays being taken and teeth properly scaled. This took approximately 45 minutes into the hour long appointment. The hygienist spent a good 10 minutes trying to explain for me why I should pay for the up charge for fluoride even though it already covered under my insurance plan. The hygienist and dentist spent the last 20 minutes of my appointment creating a sense of urgency telling me to prevent my teeth from cracking that I needed to buy from them a mouth guard, electric tooth brushes, teeth whitening, etc all of which I get for free from my dental sales rep neighbor. My second appointment consisted of a longer sales pitch than actual care. My second cleaning here with the same tech didn't even last all of 10 minutes, which is inadequate to receive a proper scaling done, she didn't even floss my teeth. I received another repeated lecture regarding why an up charge for the fluoride was highly recommended even though it was already covered by insurance. Followed by another 20 minutes berating me on why I did not want to proceed with making an mouth guard and signing up for their teeth whitening treatments. I've never had any issues with my teeth and I cannot imagine how this practice would try and extort me if I had actually had an issue with my teeth. This has left a bad taste in my mouth and I cannot recommend anyone come to this practice.
