I really liked our experience here! At first, I thought it was pricy, but once the food came out and I realized how large the portions were I understood the pricing. We all ordered our own meals which come with a salad, but I recommend ordering for the table and sharing so you can try much more. I got the flounder franchise which was amazing and super lemony. It came with a starter salad and I chose to add bleu cheese for $2 extra and house dressing. My sister got the pesto gnocchi which I ended up eating a lot of because it was so good. Not sure if you can tell from the photos, but I had to take home half my food because of how big the portion was. The only thing I didn't like about the restaurant was how packed together the tables were. It was hard to even get by to go to the bathroom. read more

Very disappointing as this was a place we frequented for years. We sat at the bar this evening and were not offered the standard salad that comes with the meal, or at lest used to since we've been going there for the last 15 years. App was ok, dinner was ok at best. Chicken parm was not pounded thin and I could make it at home much better. They charged $6.00 each for a side of pasta that used to come with the meal standard and was gross. We have no problem paying if it's good. Complete joke!! So upsetting to say the least!!! read more

First off it was my husband's birthday we made the reservation 3 weeks in advance. We had a 5:30 reservation at 6:30 we still had nothing but our first drinks. My husband was seated next to the kitchen door. Every time it opened he got smacked in the back. At 7pm we asked for dinner... we were told this is an Italian restaurant what do you expect my husband takes aspirin. We love a good night out but an hour and a half and not even a appetizer we were hungry and agitated after the door smacking and loud screaming what do you do. Friendly greeting from the hostess. No reservation on our part because it was 5PM, weekday, pre summer crowds. Sheila our server introduced herself and took our drink orders. She mentioned the daily specials all tempting. I settled on two appetizers: ahi tuna delicious and the cold antipasto for two I shared with my wife. Our waiter Josh - not attentive and not a good listener - my wife ordered White Linguine w/clams and asked for extra garlic - arrived - NO Garlic and minimal clams (2) - do you think they could have at least had 4? Asked for more bread - but no butter delivered, actually bread basket was thrown on the table... We ordered a $48 bottle of wine - do you think that Josh could have at least poured our wine once or maybe twice? We enjoyed sitting in pre-darkness as all of the other tables had tents w/lights and we did not - the forgotten table in the back near the dumpsters... We arrived at our reservation time, but had to wait outside for about :20 before our table was ready. If you want to have a conversation do not come here. Very very loud. So loud that we could not hear the piano player. Plenty of room at our table and warm bread was brought quickly. Service is average as specials were not offered until asked and water glasses were not refilled. Food came to the table without knowing who ordered what. I don't expect that for a $75 per diner cost, which was low as we didn't order appetizers or dessert. Food was good as I had the ribeye special with others ordering fish specials. This will be my 3rd time dining here and I must say I'm torn writing this review. The food is always delicious, the quality of the seafood is incredible, and the waitstaff rivals other fine restaurants. On the other hand, the parking situation on that street is always a hassle (because their lot is full each time), the noise level in the dining room is sometime too loud of handle, and the cocktails were consistently too strong and seemed to be mixed in a rush. I would recommend coming here either for a late afternoon/early dinner before the evening crowd, or after the Summer season when things settle down again. read more

I could see why this place only has three stars the food was decent although service is lacking our waiter who is sporting a gnarly beard in July belongs serving at the cheesecake factory he never checked on us with our the entrées we had to get silver from another table.. after the bus boy cleared our silver from the appetizer our table was never marked for dinner awful! After a few more visits to Due Amici recently and really enjoying both the food and excellent bar service I'm upgrading their rating to (4) stars. Maybe it's the kinda place that just grows on you or just perhaps I missed the boat in the past but this place is solid. Extensive menu with huge portions - you will often see dinners sharing a main course. But, the real treat is that they will go out of their way and make you a dish you desire that is not on the menu. I'm not sure if the gentleman in the front was the owner or manager but he sat us alone so my husband and I could be with our baby around no one else which was very thoughtful. Celebrated my husbands birthday last Sunday and first time coming here because my son highly recommended it. The waiter Michael was so friendly and brought out all our food on a timely manner. Food was spectacular, fresh and delicious. Escargot was the best I've ever had. Not gummy or chewy and cooked to perfection. I had the shrimp fra diavolo and pastsa was cooked perfect al dente and sauce had just the right amount of heat. My husband had the steak oreganato and it was delicious and tender. And I also recommend the steak arrabbiata that my son in law had. That had a nice kick to it and very tender. The dessert were fresh and unbelievable. I tasted the cappuccino tartufo which was awesome and the lemocello cake that was to die for. So moist and and creamy. Last thing I tried was the molten lava cake which is one of my favorite dessert. Ate here on Sat night late reservation. Place was crowded but did not have to wait. I love the piano live music while I eat, it adds a nice touch. Atmosphere is nice and was seated near fireplace. Food and service both excellent. To start drinks - white sangria and a vodka club. Arrived quickly and on pointe. We had the stuffed artichoke (delicious) and mozzarella, roasted peppers, tomatoes, prosciutto and olives for appetizers. For entree-chicken cardinale -w/ boneless breast, mozzarella, roasted peppers, and prosciutto in a white wine sauce. Wife had fettuccine Alfredo also excellent. Prices are spot in and portions are nice size. If you don't give this place a try you are really missing a gem in Brielle. read more

From the outside it looks like nothing, or anywhere you would want to dine at but we had an amazing night at Due Amici. The owner Bobby was so friendly and accommodating. He really runs the place well. It gets packed and the vibe is actually cool for Brielle! Its a bit old school but it really has a cool feel...kinda like a hot Italian place from the 80's. The food was amazing we had flounder and some kind of veal and red sauce I cant remember the name. Service was great too i cant say anything negative. We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience here. The food was outstanding the specials were wonderful. We had veal Frances, veal parmigiana, a couple of Italian salads with a great mixture of lettuce and cheese. Our server was extremely attentive as was the gentleman who cleared our table.
