Food quality and portions were perfect. Service was also a plus as expected with a menu priced as theirs. However one big downside is the acoustics. Absolutely horrible sound quality. My dinner party was 8 people and the people at opposite ends were not able to converse. read more

Just returned from a good meal at DuecMici. Our waiter,Owen was attentive. All was fine until the bill game. We were charged for things never ordered. When asked the waiter to correct the mistake. He told us it could not be changed as the credit card had been charged already. We then tried to speak to a manager and was told the same thing. Their mistake andWE have to pay for it. Ridiculous! After much discussion we were given a $20 Gift card. What a terrible way to run a business. Nio apology.? We are NEVER going back. There are lots of good Italian restaurants around. read more

The food is OK, some very good some lousy. The big problem that we had is that some of its wait staff is terrible. The better wait staff seemed to be the younger rookies. Thie older wait staff is borderline confrontational and lousy at best. We were served long after other patrons came in, dined and left. In addition, the order was screwed up and they acted like it was our fault (eventhough I did not even get my entree.) If I did not have my family there, I would have walked out after addressing the wait staff with the manager (who was no where to be found). The place smells like mold also and they try to cover that up with a bunch of air fresheners. There are better restaurants and people working in them than for you to have to go into this snake pit and dump a lot of money. read more

Service was good. Atmosphere was a little tacky with the drop ceiling. The deciding factor on the rating was the food: it was DISGUSTING, DISGUSTING, DISGUSTING. We had the tomato/mozzarella appetizer and the tomatoes were not ripe and were flavorless. The mozzarella was equally flavorless. I had a fish special that was very expensive and it was greasy with cheap breadcrumbs and foul tasting. I literally left the entire thing on my plate. read more

We've visited here many times before, always a memorable experience. Food always excellent and service acceptable. Saturday night however, we experienced a few problems. Notably, a bad oyster after my first selection of appetizer was not available. Another at our table experienced a bad shrimp. The service was forced and hurried. On Monday, we received a call from another at our table to advise us that their credit card had been debited repeatedly in error. Checking with the card companies revealed incorrect multi-debits and wrong amounts were charged on all 4 credit cards. This once fine restaurant will have to do better if they wish to remain one of the better venues at the shore. read more

Every time we stay down the shore, this is where we go for dinner! Food is always great, and service is always great! Nothing to complain about here. The vodka sauce is AMAZING. So delicious! Can't wait to go back again. read more

Don't waste your time or money. Had a 7:30 res and were seated at 8:15 at a table that was empty when we arrived. Took forever to get a waiter and service went downhill from there. Food was mediocre at best. read more

The food is great, but the service it terrible. We had a 7 pm reservation and did not get seated until 8:45. That's completely unacceptable. They make you go to bar for hours before your meal. Stay away read more

We gave Due Amici another try today and I was impressed. They recently spruced the place up and it looks good. Our meals were excellent. I had the veal piccata. It was done to perfection and the portion was right sized. My better half had the chicken pepadu and there just aren't enough superlatives to describe her reaction. For dessert I'd highly recommend the toasted almnond tiramisu (out of this world!) Or waiter was just right. I only gave 4 stars because of a previous night so good experience. They're going the right way. Overall, it's a winner. read more

Not only one of the best restaurants in my life but certainly the best Italian ever!!! Absolutely no place in Miami can touch this place. Michael, our server, was amazing and sweet and gallant. I highly recommend you not miss this restaurant. read more

Food was delicious but desert was over the top!! They have such a selection of sorbets and tartufo! If you want an efficient, friendly, professional waiter that will get your orders exactly right, then ask for Nick! Extensive menu. Cannot go wrong dining here. And the piano man's volume was perfect . Not like prior complaints. read more

Due Amici is a local Italian restaurant for us and we went there again last week. The food at the restaurant is good but the service is always slow and the restaurant is a bit noisy. It's a good local restaurant, although a bit pricy, but nothing to go out of your way for. read more

Veal parm was really delicious! My husband go the veal chop and wasn't as impressed, but I really enjoyed mine. Got the hot antipasto appetizer for two and it was huge! Was stuffed when I left which was a good thing! read more

Their website is a bit like my meal - just not up to par. I would have written them of my experience instead but their email contact fields were not working. My meal was sub-standard. I ordered cavatelli and broccoli but instead got a tomato-based soup with tiny, I mean tiny, bits of broccoli and doughy - no gummy - small balls for pasta. As it bore some simblance of what I ordered I assumed I had the correct dish and I did not want to complain in front of my dinner date. The salad greens were less than average and the recommended dressing made it even more so. I personally would not go there again. You only have once to make a good first impression. read more

Love it for the last 15 years. My husband and I go anytime we can get a sitter. Nuff said! No one wastes a sitter on a place not Worth it. Families, couples, can be in one place. It's romantic and dressy if you want it to be. It's family and casual if you want it that way. The food is good. The drinks are good. The noise level and lighting is good. (I prefer quiet and dark). But it's not so quiet or dark that large groups feel unwelcome. The service is good. ALLLLLL GOOOOOOD. All around. read more

Escellent atmosphere, food, service, and professionally operated. You must try the Oyster Rockafeller for an appetizer, unbelievable sauce.

Love this place, food is great, atmosphere is great.Don't like their salad the is done prior and soggy.Get a dry salad with dressing on the side read more

All I can tell everyone, first don't go to this restaurant on a Wednesday or for a special occasion (like we did for our anniversary) because you might be disappointed. I ordered a filet mignon prepared medium well. How can you screw that up? Let me tell you. First it came out WELL DONE. By the time I received my meal, my wife had completed her entrée. Second, it came out RARE. At that point, I was done. Very disappointed and not willing for a third try. There are many other restaurants that provide better prepared food. Good luck if you go to Due Amici. read more

Joined friends for Labor Day weekend dinner. Highly recommend. Extensive menu of appetizers, entrées, and deserts. All very well done. Superior service from a mature and knowledgeable staff. We will be back. read more

Great service and one of the best Italian restaurants at the shore. The owners greet you at the table, all of the employees are warm and welcoming and food is top notch read more

I wish I had read all the reviews before we went for a first and last dinner here. Two of us ordered, believing we were getting the "winter special", one ordered a la carte. The waiter, George, never asked if we wanted the special or not. From the outset he was brusque, which escalated over time to surly. My 76-year old husband asked if the sauce on his fish was the one he ordered and the waiter snapped at him "That's the way it's made, baby" and walked away. All three entrees were swimming in way too much sauce. When it became clear that we believed we had the winter special, he blamed us for not telling him that's what we wanted because the portions we got would have been smaller. When he said the only dessert choice on the special was tiramisu, I reminded him that I am gluten-free and asked what else I could have. To get a scoop of chocolate ice cream required a visit from the manager who informed us that he had already agreed to allow billing us for the two specials, and now was making an exception to let me have a scoop of ice cream instead of a small piece of tiramisu. We will never return to a place where the customers are treated so poorly. read more

We walked in and immediately smelled a strong smell of mold! Had to wait 45 minutes for our table with a reservation at 8:00pm. . It took another hour to get served an appetizer. Growing up in the restaurant business I need to tell you the food was not edible and to top it off the bill was 150 a couple with sending my entree back that was taken off the bill and before the tip. We walked out of there at 11:45pm. Do not go! The only reason I could even give them one star is the wait staff was very nice and apologetic. read more

We go every year for our anniversary and love the food. Wish the prices weren't so high, but the quality of food has always been consistent so it is worth it. Only thing that you need to be careful of is getting sat next to the piano on a Saturday night. For one of our anniversaries (in which we had a reservation) we were placed in front of the piano at a two top and the piano was so loud we couldn't really talk. So ask for a seat away from the piano. read more

We've been dining at Due Amici for 15+ years and also had several parties (i.e. office xmas party, graduation parties, etc) without any hesitation I would highly recommend. Talk to Bobby he will definitely take good care of you. Veal dishes, especially the veal Sorrentino, are outstanding! read more

Food was delicious from appetizers to dessert. Disappointed with non alcoholic beverage refills on soda and ice tea. Also extra charge of $2.00 for bleu cheese crumbles on my salad without being told. Waiter should inform customer when asking if you would like the crumbles on your salad. I would suggest them on the side you do get a lot which are overwhelming on the salad. I had to take some off. Ambience was nice with fireplace going, good lightening, and nice piano player at a very nice volume not too loud that you could still hold a conversation at your table without yelling. Did not feel rushed in between courses. We ordered 6 alcohol drinks, 4 appetizers, entrees, 5 desserts, and 6 coffee/teas. The bill came to $420. Without tip. Seemed very overpriced along with the veal dish did not come with any sides, just veal on plate. Will try other Italian places before returning to see about their prices and food quality. Only 3 stars due to charging for refills, bleu cheese crumbles and overall price. read more

Celebrated my husband's 80th birthday with our children and grandchildren and could not have been more pleased with the food, drinks and service. It was the first time there for all of us but we all agreed we will be returning. We brought an ice cream birthday cake for my husband and they brought it out, sang Happy Birthday, took the cake back, sliced and served it and packaged the remainder for us to take home. Could not say enough about the professional waiter. My daughter in law noticed that her drink was properly prepared which she tells me does not always happen. We had a table near the fireplace and it was just great. We are local and will be returning. read more

Owners and management clearly don't care about the customer. There are too many good places in the area to bother going here.

Hands down the best Italian in Monmouth and Ocean for that matter. My wife and I have been going for the last 9 years and it gets better every time. Great menu with lots of tough decisions to make. Waiters are great and the piano player makes for a wonderful atmosphere. The owners are very friendly and take care of the customers as if they were family. Highly recommend the Jersey Shores best Italian restaurant. read more

Due Amici is the best Italian food down by the Jersey Shore. I should know since I am Italian and from Harlem, NY and than the Bronx. I have eaten at the best Italian restaurants and they are right there with the Pine in The Bronx. They have now entertained two of my sons college graduations and I can't tell you how much food and how delicious everything they served us. You want great seafood go here. You want veal or chicken that melts in your mouth go here. You want the finest pastas like my favorite linguine and clams go here. You want great deserts with cappuccino go here. Anyone that knows me knows I know good food. This is DELICIOUS food. The price is just right for the service and the amount you get. Bobby the owner and his son make you feel part of their family. The service is professional and friendly and tries to fulfill your expectations in every way. Waiters like Alex can't do enough for you. As a former New Yorker, whose family was all about food, since my mom and aunts were great cooks say thank you to Bobby and his establishment. My wife whose family came from Italy and her grandma who also was an incredible cook say thank you. Just writing this review I am getting hungry. That means I will be seeing them soon. read more
