A friend brought us here on a winter night, so the outside seating had one of those fabric awning-tents draped around it. Never would've found the entrance by myself even if I'd looked for it. No more than a 3-minute walk from the Rosenthaler Platz U-Bahn, perfectly Mitte-status hip. Very crowded even though we got there around 9; any earlier, you should make a reservation. I totally disagree with the previous reviews for Dudu. My fiance and I loved the food here. It was fresh, full of veggies and had great flavours. We tried the crispy dudu roll, and each got a bowl (one noodle, one rice). All three were flavourful. The only comment I have is that we made a reservation and the host apprently either lost it or forgot and ended up bumping us to a communal table that was a bit squishy because a table of 10 was coming in right behind us. read more

For me dudu makes the most fresh asian food in berlin. You can taste it. I go here very often for lunch or dinner. Through the years the menu shrinked a lot and sometimes it's hard for me to choose because there's nothing new. Would love to have more salads, soups or dishes with salmon. Sushi is also very good and always looks nice on the plate. Staff is friendly, well it depends but mostly service is good. And I'm super glad that they stopped playing this terrible loud music. read more

I have gone several times in hope it's been an improvement, but it's always just as bad. A local friend brought me here. I was so happy! I definitely recommend Pho Beef...everything beef here. Coming from the US (great beef) now living in Munich (which has horrible beef)...apparently DuDu is known for their beef. This is a East meets West Fusion. I had a Crunchy Veggie Tempura Roll with guacamole and the side of ginger and wasabi. Yummy! So good I didn't have time to take pics. Great fresh fruit cocktails. There are flies flying around the food, it's actually really strange. This happened both times that I ate there. I like the sushi but they don't tell you where the fish is from. Is it frozen? Quality of the food is a big secret. No mentioning of organic. Also, walked in there yesterday 10 PM, 2 hours before closing, and was greeted with a "sorry guys no." by a waiter. The restaurant still had empty spots. Ok? Why not? Why are you stating that you're open till 12 if you can't serve at that time? Service was definitely top notch. Yet I found the food to be average and nothing out of the ordinary. Further, I find the bench seating to be tired. Put in some real chairs and don't make me sit next to families or other people so you can pack more people in. I also found the menu to be quite small and uninspired as well as pricey for what you get and the amount. Sure, if you've not yet been to many Asian restaurants, you'll be impressed but if you've sampled multiple such restaurants, there's nothing new here. Eating there was a very bad experience. We were treated very harshly by the asian chef-service guy (the one with the bad tattoos), because I joined my colleagues, who ordered a table for four. In every other restaurant, you have at least enough space that it's no problem for five people to sit and eat on a table for four, but here the tables are placed so tightly that you get bounced by people (and service) all the time. What followed was a very stupid discussion with the asian guy (the one with the bad tattoos, you know) who got really aggressiv (he even accused us for "sitting there for over an hour"). Food was ok, but not that good to justify such a behavior. The whole place looks like a tourist trap. read more

Amazing place for japanese food. The place is a little on the pricey side but the food is really amazing. The tunacoda roll was amazing the best tuna we have had so far. The Pho Bo was also great the meat was just melting in the mouth so delicious. The music was turned up a bit to load for my personal liking but it was still possible to have a conversation there. Admittedly, I'm spoiled by the sushi and other Asian food in Los Angeles so when I go to other cities, especially landlocked cities, I probably have a higher standard than most. Dudu was recommended by a friend who lives in berlin. The ambience was great with dim light and hip music playing in the background. I ordered veggie pho as an appetizer and tofu curry as a main. Pho was good although a small portion even as an appetizer. Tofu curry looked good however it had a distinct sour taste that does not complement the smooth curry sauce. In addition, the staff especially the lady with tattoo hosting the table was not friendly at all! She definitely should improve her attitude. I was a little disappointed about the atmosphere and the uninspiring staff, they were not the friendliest and had some attitude. I've just finished dinner here with my husband and I have to admit we're disappointed. With all the great reviews plus a recommendation we got from a local we had high hopes. And had I not had two other excellent Vietnamese meals from Berlin in the past few days I would have blamed it on a lack of good Asian food in Berlin. But nope, this restaurant just misses the mark. The food looks like it should be amazing, but then you take a bite and realize good plating does not equal taste. We started with the famous dudu roll. When it was put on the table I was sure it would be a winner. But when we tried it, we couldn't make out any distinct flavors. We could not taste any salmon or tuna in this roll although it's supposedly in there somewhere. It tasted good but underwhelming. My husband had the veggie pho and it was quite good. This was the best meal of the night. I had tofu noodles which I could have gotten at any medium-priced chain in the US. It was a plate of glass noodles with some tofu chunks with some bland sauce, topped with a large pile of plain lettuce which didn't even make sense on the plate. I ate about a third of the meal and left the rest. Very, very average. Also the music was played very loudly which doesn't lend itself to nice conversation or a relaxing meal. I get they're going for a trendy vibe, but I'll choose good food over image any day. read more

Very modern, cute outside seating. I like to pop in every now and then. It's neither the atmosphere nor the staff I come back for. But the food is soooo gooood! Every dish is a small piece of art and tastes delicious. Love their special rolls. They really know how to prepare them well. Don't get standard rolls or nigiri, if you want something special. I always have the Dudu roll or the seafood bowl. One of the few sushi restaurants in Berlin that I tried and actually want to visit again and again.. (before I try a new one). Literally the only thing that bothers me about the sushi is that it could be a couple degrees warmer. About the location: staff could be nicer and the place could be a little cozier. Also it's always kind of full (definitely need a reservation) and loud. And they often ask to put different parties on one tabel. Which doesn't make it the best place for a romantic night or a relaxed cozy evening. I know it's weird that I still rate it a 5. But that's because it really is the best sushi I've had in Berlin so far. So if you come mostly for the food I promise you will not be disappointed at all! read more

been going here for years as the food never disappoints - can highly recommend anything on the menu. my favorite dish is the pho soup - super tasty! what i don't like so much is the fact that it gets super noisy in the evening when it is crowded. to drown the noise of the people they turn on the music quiet loud and that makes it hard to have a nice dinner. imo it's better to go for lunch and also make use of their special lunch offers. service is ok, not always super friendly but i never had a real negative experience here. read more
