They have four bars and getting there early you can get a drink or two before the crowd hits. Just do not open a tab. It took 15 minutes to order my beer, another 15 minutes for them give me my card back. I finished my beer before they could even close my tab. The second night I went I paid for each round and it was much quicker. They have a wide range of music, hits from the early 2000s all the way to 2019. They have a live DJ and a massive video wall.

My friend who organizes timeshare trips said that we could go to Van Halen cover band here at House of Blues. I'm thinking he had gotten 4 free tickets for booking the timeshare, but not 100% sure. We ate dinner beforehand at Umberto's (see my 5-star review from July 2025) here in Barefoot Landing and then walked to House of Blues. There was a bit of line to get in. Security did their due diligence. We were in. It's a nice venue for various shows. It's not a huge venue, but good for cover bands. Acoustics were good in there. We were disappointed that the other couple who gave us the tickets didn't join us as he had made it sound like he was inviting us to join them. Oh well, we still enjoyed a good show.

Out here on vacation and would not let us in due to a "dress code" policy but was being judged once we stepped foot into the establishment. Got nasty looks from staff, paid in full then said there was a dress code policy when I was wearing my Myrtle Beach shirt I just bought 5 minutes before for this occasion. On the positive side, the venue itself has a cool layout with its two stories of multi-level decks, the live music sets a great beachside energy, and the nice staff works hard to keep everyone welcomed. However, times have changed around here, and the overall value just isn't what it used to be. The prices have gone up significantly, and unfortunately, a lot of the great drink and food deals they used to have are completely gone. To make things worse, they now strictly measure shots in their drinks using precise pour spouts, meaning you're getting a much weaker cocktail for a higher price tag. It's a shame because the atmosphere is still fun, but it's hard to justify dropping that kind of cash on watered-down drinks when the old-school bargain charm is missing. Thanks
