I have never complained about a restaurant publicly or even at a restaurant. I am so angry with myself for blowing a pile of money and then still being hungry enough afterwards that I went to Mcdonalds. It's a day later and I am still sort of mad about it. The duck isn't bad, but it isn't special and the portion is small. Small portion at a fancy restaurant is normal but the food has to be special. There is better duck on any street corner here in Hong Kong and it's very small. If the waffle isn't store bought it make one wonder why they'd actually make a waffle that intentionally looks, feels and tastes like one you pulled out of a wrapper and dropped in a toaster. And it's half a waffle, by the way. And there's an egg on top. This was included in the large portion part of the menu, and I went there because I was hungry. The cocktail was a mojito with a fancy name and maybe some variation I missed but it was a mojito, and it was fine. It actually came with three bite sized things that were actually pretty good and that was a nice touch, so not all bad. Also, the service is really good and I imagine before they built the Wan Chai tunnel the view would have been pretty good too. But for real, I come from a place that has chicken and waffles on every street corner, changing it to duck is a good idea but not really done in a way that deserves to cost the amount that it does. Go to the store, buy some duck, store bought waffles and fry an egg. Same difference. read more
