Spas Etc delivered and installed our Relay hot tub four years ago with no issues. The owner,…read moreAnthony Williams, was on-site. His team was confident and even proud of the unique install. They told us clearly it could be taken out the same way and that they offered that service if we ever needed it moved. No warnings. No limitations. No mention of special equipment being required in the future. Four years later, we sold the hot tub to buyers who chose Spas Etc because of our original recommendation. Both households rearranged our entire day around the pickup and delivery. We removed fencing that normally contains multiple dogs, made arrangements for their care, drained and prepped the tub, and kept the yard open the whole day. The buyers took the full day off, removed their railing per Spas Etc's own request, and prepared their delivery site as instructed. Spas Etc scheduled us for November 23rd from 1-4 PM. They arrived at 4:30 PM with neither the manpower nor the equipment they used originally--including the ATV they proudly showed off on social media from the first install (see photos). The lead said he remembered the job but wasn't equipped to perform it. No service was provided. The result? Two families lost an entire day. Two households rearranged logistics, schedules, fencing, and pet care for a service Spas Etc should never have scheduled. When we called the office afterward, they refused to provide the owner's number--only an email, which went unanswered. Later that night, the owner finally called and immediately contradicted the original installation, starting the conversation of with a "don't you remember we almost lost that thing into the lake," which simply wasn't true. (Ahem, gaslighting the customer) When that didn't stick, he shifted to "that was four years ago," and then incorrectly blamed the buyer for "refusing a walk-through,". We actually encouraged one to the office staff. He also doubled down by saying "I sell over 700 hundred of these a year, I don't remember yours". Nothing stuck because it's just wrong. The simple truth: This job should never have been scheduled if Spas Etc was not prepared, able, or willing to perform it. Instead, two customers were inconvenienced, and two homes disrupted days before Thanksgiving. This review isn't written out of spite--just accountability. Good business requires honesty, preparation, and follow-through. Those standards weren't met. I do recommend Hot Tub Movers and you can read that review in their section.

Review update: Hotsprings reached out to me the next day…read moreand invited me into the showroom for hands on instructions. This helped me a great deal. Chris told me I could call any time for questions and step-by-step help when needed. So glad because I had to call him twice about the spa chemicals and would to use. Thank you Chris for all your help and friendliness! Original Post: We purchased the Vanguard spa back in March 2023. We had it installed in September 2023. The purchase experience was good. Sales people were good and help answer our questions. My wife and I has always wanted a spa for many years and just could never afford it. We decided now was the time. My biggest fear about purchasing a spa was how to maintain it. The sales guy said "we can help and train". During the install the guys were very friendly. As he was telling me what he was doing I was taking notes. Since the install haven't heard peep from anyone from HotSprings regarding how we like our new spa and if we had any questions. Frustrated.... I had to watch a lot of YouTube videos on maintenance and adding chemicals. I had to take a water sample up to the pool store and they showed me what to add and how to add it. Purchased chemicals they requested and got the spa back to awesome. I feel when you spend the amount of money we did on this spa it should come with some follow up. I have called the HotSprings store in the past during business hours listed on the website and no one picks up or returned my call. I'm glad I have the pool store close by for advice and chemicals. After buyers remorse since the install of the spa and now getting a little more comfortable with it my wife and I are glad we purchased it. I use it every night to help with back pain and now sleep very well. The nights I don't use it I can tell. The HotSpring Spa is the best on the market but the service after the sales needs improved.

Kerry Martin Pools (KMP) provided a good design but the operational execution of our 2025 pool…read morebuild was poor, causing months of avoidable disruption and extra expense. For a six-figure project, we expected significantly better-quality control and communication. What went wrong: * Utility damage handled negligently: During trenching, sprinkler lines were broken. Instead of temporarily capping/taping and repairing while exposed, crews backfilled over the damaged lines. That decision contaminated the irrigation with sand and buried the break, forcing us to locate and repair the line later at additional cost and time. Broken sprinkler are unavoidable during a pool construction but backfilling the trench with sand before repairs are made is a 100% preventable action. * Pool finish (marcite/plaster) was substandard: Initial plaster work showed uneven corners, rough surfaces, and irregular coloring. After plastering, the pool was filled and turned over as "complete" without the proper representative present to inspect and/or get homeowner sign-off. After extensive complaining, KMP agreed to redo the finish -- the pool was drained and refinished, but discoloration remained in one area and required a second drain/refinish. Multiple re-dos created unnecessary delays and inconvenience. Lawn was extensively damaged from acid wash dump. * Communication & scheduling failures: Crews often arrived without notice, and we received little or no scheduling updates. Homeowners should not have to wonder who will be in their yard or when work will occur. * Project timeline and value: The build stretched many months due to rework and preventable mistakes. For $100K+, the workmanship, oversight, and customer care were substandard. What they did right: * Sales/design team created a good design based on what we wanted. If KMP only provided designs, we would have rated them much higher. What KMP should improve: * Implement on-site protocols to protect, flag, and temporarily isolate damaged utilities during excavation. * Require mandatory quality inspections and homeowner sign-off prior to completing work and filling a pool. * Improve scheduling proactive communications for all activities (including the many subcontractors involved). Set expectations for what will be done and when. * Strengthen plaster/finish quality control and oversight of subcontractors. Bottom line: We would not hire Kerry Martin Pools again based on our experience. While the sales and design team performed well, the operational shortcomings -- preventable utility damage left unrepaired, sloppy plaster work requiring multiple re-dos, and inconsistent communication -- turned what should have been an exciting home upgrade into months of disruption and expense. There are reputable pool builders available in northeast Florida; we recommend researching alternatives carefully.

From the…read morevery beginning with the design of the pool with Mitch to the end with Jake , everything felt seamless, professional, and genuinely exciting--and the end result completely exceeded anything we imagined. Mitch designed the pool we envisioned in our head and Jake was absolutely phenomenal. He was attentive, detail-oriented, and truly cared about bringing our vision to life. Every single detail was executed to perfection. He kept us informed throughout the entire process, made sure timelines stayed on track, and handled everything with a level of professionalism that is incredibly rare to find. The pool itself looks like something out of a luxury resort. It is stunning. The design, the finishes, the layout--every aspect feels high-end and thoughtfully done. We added both a heater and a chiller, and it has completely elevated the experience, making the pool enjoyable year-round. It honestly looks so expensive and custom that guests are constantly blown away when they see it. What impressed us just as much as the final product was how clean and organized everything was. At the end of each phase--and especially upon completion--the area was spotless. There was no mess, no stress, just a beautiful finished product ready to enjoy. If you are considering building a pool, do yourself a favor and go with Blue Haven--and ask for Jake. This was hands down one of the best decisions we've made for our home. The quality, the service, the attention to detail--everything was top-tier. Nic at the very end teaching us about our equipment and who is still available months later for questions is an absolute cherry on top as well ! We HIGHLY recommend them... in fact we already have !!! This wasn't just a pool project--it was an experience, and it turned out better than we ever dreamed possible.
