Just no... I get the hype in terms of flavor options and the fact they come out hot and fresh, but they are basically sticky hot messes of donuts. Wayyyyy too sweet and too mushy. I was not impressed. Maybe I'll give it another try in the future. read more

It was a bit of a drive for me so I made an evening out of it (worked out well since it was st. Patrick's day). My friends and I split a half dozen. Their cake donuts were SO GOOD fresh out of the oven. Yeast donuts often make me feel bloated and a little gross, so duck donuts' cake donuts were a welcome treat. If I could, I would've ordered every flavor! read more

Great service and great donuts! This was my first time stopping in, and the staff was very friendly and patient as I made my decisions. There are so many different options to choose from - from your basic sprinkles to maple bacon! They're a little bit pricey but definitely worth it, and they make all the donuts fresh in front of you. read more

I love donuts and have been meaning to check this place out for a while. I finally stopped in with a friend this morning. We ordered a dozen donuts of various flavors. I liked how they make them for you and come out hot. They were so good! Light and fluffy, not too heavy. Compared to peace love and little donuts, I thought the quality of the actual donut itself was much better. The coffee was also very good. You can order single donuts, by the dozen, or even a "bucket". The store was small inside, so it could be challenging to eat them there if it's busy. But I would definitely recommend! They also appear to work with a lot of charities, which is also a plus. read more

I've been going to the Duck Donuts in Duck, NC since I was a little kid. In my opinion, they're the best donuts you can get anywhere. I was hesitant to try them here because I didn't want to ruin a special vacation thing. But I have to admit it was nice to get a little taste of vacation. Once a year at the beach is just not often enough for these delicious donuts. If you go, step out of your typical donut order and try some of their creations. You won't regret it. read more

This is a new "made to order" donuts shop were you design your own donuts or choose from theirs. I ordered half a dozen of theirs. They make them all fresh. They're warm, toasty and cozy. The key is to eat these right away, they're outstanding when they're warm and good when they're cold. It's located in a new fancy styled European plaza across from Whole Foods by South hills village. They tried to TRICK me when they built this plaza because there is a whole chain of stores BEHIND the plaza and that is where Duck Donuts is. read more

I've been in Duck, NC before and I've never had the opportunity to try the donuts. I was beyond excited when I heard there was a location now right outside of Pittsburgh! The donuts are made fresh right in front for you. This is such a great place to take kids to let them make their own creations. This is also a cute date idea for dessert. You could make each other's donuts . I got a maple bacon donut and my girlfriend the coconut island bliss (coconut, chocolate, peanuts.) Both were delicious and I was sad we only got one each. The toppings on both were falling off because there was so much. There is nothing better than fresh hot donuts that are affordable. I cant wait to go back again! If you haven't visited the place you're truly missing out. read more

Super bummed. My daughter and I did an online pre-order and chose gummy worms as toppings for 3 of our doughnuts (for each kid). Paid for the order in advance and upon returning home realized there were no gummy worms on any of the doughnuts. Not a huge deal, but we were charged extra for the worms and the kids were a little sad! read more

I cannot believe that I have not tried this place before today. I hate using superlatives, but these may have been the best donuts that I've ever eaten. Maybe it was the glaze, maybe it was the fact that they were warm, maybe that it was the fact that I haven't had a doughnut in a while. I don't know. I do know that I will be back again, and will be trying these guys as often as I'm nearby. read more

Some of the best doughnuts I've ever had. Tons of variety in terms of flavors--they even have bacon bits as a topping! This is best eaten when still hot so eat them once you get your order. read more

I know you all are going to hate me for this but needless to say I wasn't to thrilled about this place. It is basically take out but they have a couple of tables if you want to eat in. First of all I want to preface that whatever they make here is made with donuts. When I arrived I ripped off a sheet where you can choose the number of donuts you want, toppings, glaze, and drizzle. They were giving out samples of sugared cinnamon donuts which I thought was a bit too much for me. Oh yes, they are also into souvenir shopping if you want to buy Tees and little rubber duckies. Some even have Pittsburgh written on it. If you want a breakfast sandwich you can have it made with donuts. Care for a sundae? You can have a donut base with it. They do offer one special for $5.00 with the purchase of two donuts and a beverage. Since I was planning to go out to lunch I was only interested in a plain simple blueberry donut without all the frills. Coffee and tea is available from self serve machines. i went to pay for my donut which came to a grand total of $1.40 since I didn't want all the stuff that you can get with it. Yes, if you customize it you pay more. They also provide the calorie count of each item if you are watching your weight or carbs. I was then given a number and in a few minutes my donut was served to me boxed. The only good thing I liked about it was that it was soft and warm since it was made fresh. But it had no blueberry taste to it whatsoever. It just tasted like a plain donut! Hey if I'm buying a blueberry donut then I would expect to see some tiny pieces in it or at least taste it. Since I needed to be somewhere I didn't get the opportunity to complain about this matter. I'm not a big donut fan but I do know that I prefer cake donuts to glazed over anytime. This store is a novelty and again I feel it is to bring something different in this new mall they are creating off Siena Dr. Expect long lines because people are usually ordering up to a dozen to take home and it is family oriented. Located next to the new Nothing Bundt cakes they are open early am through mid afternoon. read more

Tried to get 2 donuts this morning, no good morning, no hello or acknowledgement from the workers. Walked in, looked at the menu, waited... looked at the menu again... waited, turned around twice to see two employees, looked at the menu again, waited & then I got a feeling of being uncomfortable as I was being ignored. After what seemed like a long time I left. I ended up going to Grahams bakery in Castle Shannon for a donut, it was a dollar cheaper too. read more

First visit, the donut machine was broken but they fixed it just as we arrived. No masks on the staff, the trainee making our donuts glazed and decorated them and the glaze immediately melted into a puddle under the donuts. Greasy and overly sweet. I don't get the magic at all. read more

Duck Donuts - Love the fresh donuts, nice staff. - Donuts Near Me - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Ducks Donuts only opened yesterday, but their process is smoother than other establishments with way more experience! When we walked in, we filled out our order form and waited in line. Everyone was extremely patient. We placed our order and waited for our donuts to be prepared. There was a gentlemen (maybe manager? maybe owner) who was there helped all of the employees. He filled sprinkle containers, he grabbed boxes, he genuinely helped in any way that he could. He was pleasant, professional and appreciative. He thanked each customer that he could. He apologized for the wait, thanked us for our patience and our business. The donuts were delicious! They were fresh, fun and reasonably priced. Local bakeries charge $12 a dozen, so $13.50 for a dozen of custom donuts was way less than we were expecting. We all loved that you got to customize the donuts, my boyfriend doesn't eat chocolate so usually is automatically excluded from lots of options. It was so nice that he could swap out the icing and still enjoy the different combinations. The chocolate and vanilla frosting were really good, but more impressive were the strawberry and blueberry options. Usually fruit flavors are very artificial flavored, but these were not. I love supporting local businesses and am very appreciative of good food. We will be back often! read more

If you are looking for something very unique and delicious then Duck is a good place to satisfy your craving for sweet warm and fresh donut goodness. I bring my own reusable cup for coffee to reDuce my carbon footprint but they insist on a cup with a plastic top. I don't expect a discount although it saves everyone something. Are the owners from duck dynasty and insist climate change is a hoax? Then after paying with a 15% tip, my two cinnamon cake doughnuts show up in half a pizza box that I didn't ask for, I didn't mention they were not to go then I noticed my 3$ doughnuts have no discernible cinnamon. I left them and poured the coffee out and will never return and they can't compete with 7-11 . They should be gone soon! read more

So many possible donut combinations! Duck Donuts has a donut for every flavor preference and they make it easy to choose by having a menu with pictures. MMMMMMMMM CAKE DONUTS -- the way they're supposed to be! Delicious donuts. Will definitely be going back!

Duck donuts are a great option compared to your local bakery as they offer customization and different pre made selections that are great to try. They are cake donuts which are on the smaller side compared to a typical raised donut but they are definitely filling. They are best served warm in my opinion and are really a great treat. This location can get busy at times so it's nice they offer a pre order option online and through the app. I have had them make some mistakes on a couple of orders now but the quality keeps me coming back. I would definitely recommend giving them a try. read more

Excellent donuts and super friendly service! It was my first time at duck donuts and the staff helped walk me through the process and decide what I wanted. I went with the Boardwalk donut which is glazed with oreo crumbles, vanilla drizzle, and powdered sugar. It was so sweet and delicious - but also the donut itself was soft, light and fluffy! They are made to order so there could be a wait, but a fresh, warm donut is so worth it. My only complaint is that it's so hard to pick a flavor combo! I'll definitely be back to try more. read more

Disappointing. Came in on Friday and breakfast Sandwiches were raw, donuts weren't cooked. Service was slow. Son wanted to try again today, arrived at 7:05 store hours say 7. They weren't even open. Called no answer. Someone showed around 7:15. Not a good way to run a business read more

Prior to my recent visit I'd only ever been to the original Duck Donuts in Duck, NC. I had the maple-glazed bacon donut. read more

We were excited to try Duck Donuts. We went in and were greeted and they explained how it works. The donuts are all the same a vanilla cake donut. You customize with different toppings. The donut was okay. It's when I opened the box once we were home that I was disappointed. They make the donuts fresh and they are hot when they customize them. Sounds great but learned a lesson. They put a box top on so it holds the heat in and melts and makes toppings slide off. $25 ($2 tip) for a dozen donuts is a treat every once in awhile but I don't think I'll be back. Too much money to have a soggy gooey mess. Maybe if you ordered 1 and ate it there but buying a dozen to take is a waste of money. read more

This place is great. You ALWAYS get warm donuts. That makes them SO much better. You can put on any kind of toppings on these and custom make them yourself. The donuts, size wise are between Peace, Love, and Little Donuts and Duncan Donut size. So you can have a couple and not feel bad or still wanting more. Perfect size. Plus they are cheaper than Peace Love and Little Donuts too. That and since you can't really custom make much at PL&LD even though they have a big selection really makes Duck Donuts a much better choice. The ONLY thing I would really like to see is filled donuts or even chocolate donuts. Duck Donuts only has regular donuts. But this isn't enough of a reason to detract from them or their rating. read more

Didn't realize that I had not previously written a review for Duck Donuts. My husband and I stopped in on Saturday and like previous times we were greeted by the employee at the register. We each ordered 2 donuts to go and I also grabbed my free coffee which is self serve. The donuts here are always fresh and warm, the perfect way to eat one in my opinion. I also enjoy how they show you the donuts before closing up the box to make sure you are satisfied. This was my second time stopping in and I am obsessed with these delicious and fresh donuts!! I have never tasted a donut better than duck donuts. I came in since I had a free coffee and donut coupon, then decided to buy a half dozen since I obviously couldn't resist. Staff was so friendly and helpful with recommendations. It's overwhelming with how many flavorful options there are, but she was helpful in giving my some flavor ideas to try-especially the maple bacon donut-omg so good! The donuts come out hot and fresh which is why they taste so good! They come out quick too and you don't even wait more than 5 minutes. I even was able to get a few green ones for St. Patrick's Day which was fun. Their coffee was flavorful as well. I can't wait to return! read more

Fancy, more expensive donut chain with multiple different flavor, frosting and topping combinations. It's a nice place to splurge every once in a while. Went here today for the first time to see what it was like (I've been to the one in King of Prussia previously). They have cake donuts which are made right in front of you. Tons of options, they have suggestions though if you want to get creative you can do pretty much whatever you want as far as toppings. I just got two donuts, priced at $1.60 a piece I believe, I think the price per donut is cheaper if you get a 1/2 dozen or full dozen. The location of this Duck Donuts is a little hidden and out of the way for me. If you are in the South Village mall area, I'd recommend visiting. I loved the warm vanilla donuts here!
