Some southwest/turquoise; a bunch of diamonds; lots of colored stones; and even some enamel pieces. If you don't see what you're looking for, ask; I wanted to see amber and they brought out a bunch, and they also had additional mourning jewelry in the back. The people serving me were very helpful, finding bracelets in my size, helping with tricky catches, etc. and they knew their stuff (what era jewelry was from; no, we don't have jet but we have bog oak...). Several customers were obviously regulars; one approached me out of nowhere to tell me how good the staff were to deal with. Prices are very reasonable; I was very pleased with the vast selection, spent less on a couple of pieces than I expected, and went home with some treasures. This is on the main street right next to the Catlow theater; there is street parking and 1 hour and 3 hour unmetered parking a block away at the Jewel.

Buying won't be cheaper unless you buy large quantities. Then trying to sell to them, whole different matter and pain in terms of logistics and prices too. Price per ounce my ass. Any dealer has to have a larger spread then simple bid and ask for spot price.

Piccard has a small selection, but they all appear to be good pieces. These days, I understand why a jeweler wouldn't want to have a lot of stock - robberies or the cost of goods being high, it really doesn't make sense to have much in stock. But, they do have a lot of catalogs you can review, and he will order anything you want. More so, I trust them. When we went to sell our gold coins, they were US Coins, proof. They said he would buy them by weight, but we would probably get more from a coin dealer. They could have just given us the money and marked up the coins, but they didn't. That earned my trust and my business.
