If you ever wondered if you could survive if the entire grid went down and modern life as you know…read moreit was no more, no electricity, no Internet, no stores, no running water, no law enforcement... you might catch a little glimpse of your survival rate here at Killin Pine. Can you throw a weapon as old as the invention of metals and iron? Can you throw with precision and might? Or on a more primal level, could you do it to provide food or protection for you and your family? At its core essence, Killin Pine Axe Range will give you an assessment. What you do after that assessment is up to you. Do you need to work on your survival skills or do you have what it takes to survive an apocalypse? I witnessed big burly men totally humiliate themselves with their pathetic axe throwing technique and I've seen 90 lb petite women bury an axe in the bullseye and's make her husband say yes ma'am the rest of the evening. Size doesn't matter with these axes. It's a skill you must learn. Go a couple of rounds here and there's a good chance you'll improve as an axe thrower and you'll sleep better at night in your temperature controlled memory foam mattress knowing if push came to shove and all you had was an axe to survive, you could do it.

What could go wrong?!), we watched James navigate the booth with some other kids first and I felt confident they'd be able to try it. SUPER reasonably priced compared to other axe throwing places I've been at -- kids got 10 throws for $10. For my little one, he had ninja stars which were less weight and easier for him to manage. My older son tried a variety of axes and had a great time. They talked me into a round as well and I found it quite enjoyable. We all got sticks! James was great with all of us and we had a great time. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a chance to try it out somewhere!

I never understood the attraction of axe throwing places until trying out Stick It Ace Throwing…read moreafter finishing up a laser tag session while in town visiting a family member stationed at Fort Eustis. It was a perfect and memorable way to spend a rainy day with our soldier and give something new a try. Before you start, a staff member will walk you through the throwing technique for small, large, and one-handed axe throwing. Taylor explained everything clearly and effectively, and was encouraged us throughout our games. I felt safe with his instruction and observation. There are several mini-games you can play with your group, such as the traditional darts-style, zombie hunting, and candy crush. You get the lane for a whole hour and there is plenty of time to run through several games without ever getting bored.

We were greeted as we walked in the door and the gentleman behind the counter got us checked in and had everyone fill out a waiver. Our throwing instructor introduced himself and got us started. Everyone had a blast! And I was especially impressed that when someone found they were having issues with form or whatever he jumped in and helped to correct us so we had a better chance at hitting the target. They had several games that we played that allowed us to compete on teams. So much fun, we will be back!

My sister surprised me today with a trip to the "Wreck It Room" to blow off steam for my birthday…read moreand it was an absolute blast! We did the black light room filled with glow in the dark paint, paint filled water guns, and a Bluetooth speaker where we jammed out to 90s bangers while splattering the wall, canvas, and each other. It was a messy fun stress reliever. Extremely fun. They supply the shoe covers, glasses, and coveralls but I'd still suggest wearing items you're ok with getting paint on. It's a cheaper paint and seems it would come out with a good wash but I wouldn't risk it. The service was good too, there was an issue where our reservation wasn't showing on their end but the woman in the front was able to make sure everything went smooth. She did se pretty busy since it sounded like all the rooms were filled and there were a lot of people exiting their rooms with huge grins on their faces. 10/10 before and after pictures show how much fun we had

It was so fun being creative, energizing, and surprisingly therapeutic! They offer the garb to be covered head to toe. We got a few extra paint cups and two 5x7 canvases. They even had a blue tooth speaker for us to blast our 2000s hits. While I definitely got a little in my mouth / on my face, it was totally worth it.

My family and I recently visited LeMans Karting, and unfortunately, it was one of the most…read morefrustrating customer service experiences we've had. When we arrived, we were initially told the wait time would be around 50 minutes. Shortly afterward, an employee informed us it would actually be closer to 30 minutes because the system had "moved some things around." We waited patiently, watching multiple races go by. After some time, I asked the pit master when our race would begin and was told we were up next. When we checked again later, we discovered that we had never been added to the queue at all. Despite this being entirely their mistake, we were told we would have to wait even longer before being able to race. At that point, we decided we no longer wanted to participate and requested a refund. The staff refused to refund our money and instead offered free races at a later time. We declined because, after the experience we had already endured, we simply wanted our money back. To make matters worse, the facility was extremely hot because the air conditioning appeared to be either broken or ineffective, and the restroom had a strong odor of urine and feces. Overall, the lack of organization, poor customer service, refusal to issue a refund after their mistake, and uncomfortable facility conditions made this a very disappointing experience. My family and I will not be returning, and I would encourage others to consider alternative karting venues.

Second time hitting this location & really nothing but good things to say!…read more I made same day reservations and even came an hour early without an issue. They tend to get really busy in the evenings so go early or make sure to make a reservation. Jack, our guide, was helpful in technique and energy. It was nice to have him jump in a few times to help out but didn't feel like hovering. Also, love their enthusiasm for bulls eyes. We have had food and drink- both very good to pair with game play. Snack, bar food like loaded tots, curly fries etcs. Canned beer, cocktails and wine available.

I had never been ax throwing before and thought it would make a good date for the hubby and I. I…read moremade a reservation online with a small reservation fee and then we paid the rest during our visit. A host helps check you in, sign waivers and escorts you to the bar area. There's a small selection of can drinks including alcoholic ones, tea, soda, water. I liked that they stock Sly Clyde's cider from Hampton. Not sure sharp objects and alcohol is the best idea but everyone seemed to be behaving responsibly. We were escorted to some bays that had two lanes next to each other and then separated by a fence before two more open lanes. We were given a safety brief at the lanes with people in two other lanes and some instructions on how to throw. Don't pass axes by hand, put them in the return box. Different styles of how to throw. Thankfully we had the full bay to ourselves since so one was in the open bay next to us. We played for 75 min which was a comfortable amount of time. They also have a knife throwing option which we didn't select. There's some seating available near the throwing area for non players. Each bay has a standing bar with two backless metal seats. I was able to throw comfortably with a walking boot on for a sprained ankle. I appreciated that since I didn't even think of that before reserving a space. I was nervous at first but managed to do ok with the over head two hand throw. The bay attendant didn't check on us after bringing our pretzel bites and so it didn't seem necessary to tip for service. We were able to get an additional score cards on the way to the snack area and that is where you close out your tab for your outing. The kiosk offers a tip option so maybe they share with the attendants. I talked with a friend who had been there previously and she said the booth attendant asked for a tip when she went and that was off putting. That wasn't our experience though. Overall we spent just over $100 for our date night. While there is snacky food available, it's not the type of place you are going for dinner and fun. Get a meal before or after somewhere else. The bay next to us had plans to go to Buffalo Wild Wings across the street.
