There's so much to do and they even offer party hosting if you're looking for a spot to celebrate. We played for about an hour and a half and spent around $40 for the both of us (including socks, I think). One thing I really appreciated was the area reserved for kids three and under it's nice knowing the little ones have a safe space away from the bigger kids. Overall, we had a great experience. My only downside was the restroom it was pretty disgusting, smelled bad, and definitely wasn't clean. Other than that we really enjoyed our time and would come back.

Or there not being designated time slots for jumping. but I was here for the kids so whatever. Sometime later I started to notice that this place is run by children, literally. The concession stand was unattended with children behind it doing what they want. The "staff" were pretty much grade school kids on their phones while there are spills and messes. The restroom felt abandoned, floor was wet with ZERO caution signs or warnings . Btw the person that actually did clean the restroom was the sole person that actually gave a damn cuz I seen them in the office doing other work. There are 100 children of varying ages all crammed in the same section and the "staff" are sitting on the benches on their phones hire people who actually give a damn about safety or shut tf down before someone gets seriously hurt and I know nobody is paying attention because when I walked up the ramp to get my young ones for immediate departure, I had my shoes on.. nobody stopped me.. crazy what y'all got going on here.. do not come here! This is my first review of anything, anywhere since the dawn of smart phones.. But i honestly could not believe my eyes and had to say something.

It's operated by the same company as the Adventure Park, though each requires separate admission tickets. The entrance is about a five-minute walk from the parking lot along a pebbled path. After seeing the tower, it reminded me of the Forest Tower in Denmark and wondered if it served as an inspiration for the design. The Nautilus Tower is 65 feet tall, and you can reach the top via stairs or by a spiral ramp. There are benches along the way for those who need a break. Once at the top, I was greeted with a beautiful view of the surrounding forest and lakes. After enjoying the view, I went down the steel slide, which was a lot of fun! You sit on a mat with handles for the descent, similar to a water slide but without the water. After the steel slide, I explored the Treetop Canopy Walk, accessible from the second level of the tower. The canopy walk was nice but also a little scary, giving me "Final Destination" vibes due to the amount of swinging and swaying on the bridge. I ended my visit at the Children's Treehouse Village, which is a nice play area if you have kids. I would recommend Owl Creek Landing for anyone who loves nature, a great family outing or even a date night. It's a wonderful addition to the Virginia Beach area.

Just 5 years ago they had a fantastic space that was torn out with the remodel of the mall. There is not much to say about the space. It's a long narrow designated area that is walled off for security. The colors are kid friendly and the pieces are softish to not injury the kids. My daughter was the last one to enjoy a few years ago, but we usually said no as these places are notoriously germ pits. If there is hand sanitizer at the entrance I've never seen it. This would be a good add. A PSA...parents watch your kids and abide by the rules of height to enter. Never leave your child unattended...yes it happens all the time. Place shoes in the storage area just inside the entrance. So why can I eek this to a 3? Because every time I pass by toddlers are having a great time running, jumping around and smiling. So I relinquish my rating to what it's really about...the kids. I'm not going crazy however. It's a very basic play area that's better than nothing. Furthermore the staff does keep it clean. If your children are desperate and you bathe them in hand sanitizer after a romp this is an ok place for youngsters to run out some energy. It's secure and clean so alrighty then a 3 it is I guess.

We came…read morein on a busy Saturday afternoon, and even with the crowds, the staff kept everything running smoothly. First off, this place is HUGE. There's truly something for everyone. We started at the bowling alley (our main event), and the lanes were clean, the scoring system was intuitive, and the party host made sure our group was set up and having fun. Despite a lot of guests bowling at once, wait times were reasonable and the lanes had comfortable seating areas for everyone to relax between turns. Apex has a gigantic arcade, axe throwing, bumper cars, an immersive dark ride, escape rooms, high-speed go-kart racing, Hologate VR, laser tag, mini golf, pool tables, a ropes course, and even sports simulators! If you can't find something you enjoy here, it probably doesn't exist. Everything was well-maintained, and the staff at each attraction were friendly and helpful, making sure everyone knew how to play and was having a good time. Food and drinks definitely exceeded my expectations for an entertainment venue. The bars are fully stocked, and the food menu ranges from classic favorites to more upscale options like pizza, burgers, wings, and salads were all fresh and tasty. Our server was attentive, had great recommendations, and was super quick with drink and food orders, which made our party even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a location for a night out with friends, a kids party, or even an adult party ... Apex is your spot.

Our only issue was when we went to the floor with the escape room to purchase tickets the person who helped us let us know what time the next escape and axe throwing session were and then we asked if we could do the minigolf course before the escape room. She said yes and charged us for it. Originally we had asked for 2 separate checks since we were with friends. But she just did it on one check and split the cost. She gave us only on receipt for it. When we went to the mini golf course there was a wait of about 8-9 people just for the first hole because of how over filled it was with kids. Kids just running around everywhere. We went back and just asked for a refund for the mini golf and we would just wait for the escape room since we didn't realize it was that packed with kids in there. We only had 25 minutes to kill and the first hole alone would take us those 25 minutes. The same person did the refund BUT she didn't tell us it would not be a refund but put it on two apex gift cards to use as credit....... She did not communicate this to us at all. She just said here you go and handed us those cards. I asked what is this and she said your refund.... That is not a refund that's like store credit. And we wouldn't have minded that if she just communicated it was non refundable.

The biggest downside was the heat, especially upstairs in the laser tag area. It was uncomfortably hot and could definitely use better ventilation. The party room itself is on the smaller side and felt very cramped (only accommodates 12 bodies comfortably) and was warm too. The arcade noise carries in even with the door closed as the walls don't go up to the ceiling, but noise is expected in an arcade setting. That said, there were a lot of thoughtful touches that really stood out. The party room was decorated well, with detailed under the sea murals on the wall, and the place settings were surprisingly nice with sturdy glowing plastic plates, cups, and neatly arranged silverware that matched the neon and black-light theme. It made it feel more put-together than typical party setups. (Even though I decorated with my own decorations and partyware, as the birthday girl had a particular theme she wanted.)Our party attendant made it a point to check in to empty trash and make sure everything was going smoothly. One of the most appreciated features was that parents could watch the laser tag games from downstairs on the screens, and a few were even allowed to jump in and play with their kids at no extra charge, which was awesome. The kids absolutely loved the variety of arcade games and had a blast. Party pricing and packages were comparable to other venues, with three options to choose from, and we really liked being able to bring our own food and drinks. They were also very accommodating, since there wasn't a party before ours, they let us in early to decorate at no extra cost, and they didn't rush us out at the end, only asking for 30 minutes to reset the room for the next group. That flexibility made a huge difference, especially since we had the largest party package with multiple laser tag rounds plus arcade time, cake, and food. Parking was a bit tricky, but that was expected at the oceanfront (and we were glad it was the off-season). Most importantly, the kids had an amazing time and the birthday girl is already asking to have another party there, which says it all. A FUN venue with great staff and party flexibility, just be prepared for the heat, especially upstairs, the typical arcade noise (even in the party room) and the frustration of VB Oceanfront parking, as there isn't dedicated parking for the venue.

Maybe that is the reason we were the only folks in the arcade. We ended up with enough tickets to get 6 pieces of "penny candy". So I'd say skip the arcade and take your kiddo to the dollar store and let them come out with 5 or 10 dollars worth of stuff. Also we paid $12 to park in the lot behind the arcade. So a costly 15 minute experience.

But my daughter got there early and we were able to get 3 tables and it was decent. It wasn't too many people at 12:30, but it did start to get packed later in the day. So early is probably best... We got a package with 3 large pizzas, drinks, and 100 points for games. The pizzas were thin and they tasted good while they were hot. After they cool down I wouldn't recommend it, then it tastes like cardboard. They cut them into smaller pieces to get more out of it, which worked out. I ordered fries for about $4 and the cashier warned me that it was 8oz, which I didn't know what to expect. Well, it was about 15 fries scattered on a plate. Lol. I see why she warned me. They should have saved the plate and just put them in my hand. They come with ketchup and ranch. They were bland because they didn't add any salt. If they had salt they may have been better. The drinks are unlimited which is nice. They had pizza, wings, dipping dots, a salad bar, and a few other things. The pizzas were a little bit expensive for what they tasted like. The salad bar is about $12 for unlimited salad. I wanted it but it was iceberg lettuce which looked unappealing and with all those kids running around sneezing , coughing, breathing by the salad bar, I just couldn't... Everything is pretty much how I remember it as a kids. Chuck E. has an updated look to. My granddaughter wasn't having it when he came to take pics with her. Lol. She was scared. I won't lie, I used to be afraid also. I didn't understand that it was a person in there. To this day, I'm still not letting him touch me .... Lol. The games are 1 point each which I appreciate. You can play games by the minute or get points. It definitely makes more sense to do the points which you can use as you please. The by the minute runs out to fast unfortunately. There were games for all ages. The photo booth was our favorite. It gives quality pictures that are very clear... Skip JCPenney and come here for your family photo. Lol. The place was clean. Now the bathroom was somewhat clean. The toilet seats were nasty. I almost tossed my cookies when I seen the dried poop and pee. People are letting their little ones sit on these toilet seats because their squat game isn't good yet. But omg ewww. No. Toilet seat covers are necessary. The toilet flushes automatically and it may scare little kids. The child in there peed all over the floor and her clothes because she didn't expect the loud whoosh noise while she was going. Poor baby!! Her mom was pissed but it wasn't her fault. Chuck E Cheese is definitely the place to go for younger kids. It's easy, it felt safe, and the kids have a blast. The food isn't the greatest but it'll do. My granddaughter enjoyed herself so that's all that matters!! Check them out!!!
