I had an appointment today and the place was bustling. They have plenty of staff although I saw signs for help everywhere. So here's my take, there aren't many ski shops anymore or like there was say, 40 years ago. Baltimore Ski Warehouse (BSW) is pretty central and they do offer both used and new equipment. There prices on used equipment are a tad high vs. eBay or liquidation sites. With that said, just like a lot of shopping, ski gear also has gone online and it's equally affordable to BSW. When you buy online, it's a gamble because what important is the fit! Some sales are final sales or a PITA to return. BSW affords you the fit and will work with you until you're happy. That's called connivence and you pay a little extra for convenience just like you do for milk and bread at the big gas stations. Today, I tried of 4 brands of boots and purchased a pair and left happy despite paying a little more. BSW, guaranteed me a good fit or I can return the used boots for another pair of used boots within their huge selection. Folks were nice and again, it was busy so MAKE AN APPOINTMENT online. I've done that at home, and there's a lot of gear that you need for that: to do it in a setting with people buzzing around you, good lighting, nice chairs, and paints and brushes all around you. Honestly, it just feels like a better way to do it than sitting in your basement, unless that's your sort of thing. There's also a huge gaming area. A group of our friends are planning on getting together at least one Friday a month to play the Wheel of Time RPG. And he suckered me into joining. So he insisted that I pick out my own dice, rolling tray (the non-herbal kind), and a bag to hold the dice. They also guaranteed the bed liner for lifetime of the truck! I contacted Pasadena Bed Liners at 8:55PM last night after returning home with the truck. He answered the phone! Pasadena Bed Liners said he was full but I could drop it by early and he would get see if he could get it out, but it might be after 4:00PM. I arrived about 7:50am and he was there! I dropped off the truck. Around 12:40 (Noon) I received a call that the truck would be ready in 30 minutes. When I arrived about 40 minutes later i found my truck parked. The bed liner looks great! I have had others installed but this has got to be the best. It did have the little sticker someone else was complaining about, but it is a very profession label that looks good! I left there and went to Walmart. When I returned a man was taking a picture of the sticker! I asked him what he was doing and he said he was looking for a bedliner and mine looked great! I think I will be very happy with this bedliner!

She was in twelve places at once grabbing gowns for me and my dressing room neighbor, fixing things and arranging dresses and making sure her brides felt seen and heard and special. She is a TREASURE. She must have burned 1,000 calories over the course of my own hour appointment. And she never stopped smiling or saying just the exact right things. The selection of dresses was nice, it seems like they really have something for everyone and every style, and very size inclusive. One thing that was less than great was it seems like the corporate/management side of David's bridal pushes their stylists to sign all the brides up for some rewards program. I was 100% not interested but I understood it was something she was told she had to do. It kind of took me out of my magical moment to be honest, and frankly Ms. Earline does not have time for this!! All of the bridesmaids ordered different style dresses and everything went downhill from there. The young lady ringing us up literally walked away in the middle of ringing us up, and the manager had to come take over. Not sure if she was frustrated or what, but that's unacceptable customer service. We thought everything was finally squared away... NOPE! A month later, I get a call saying my dress was ready for pickup. Do you think they ordered the right one? Of course not! They ordered the first bridesmaid's dress style for everyone. I live an hour and a half away and have now had to make 2 completely unnecessary trips. To make things worse, my original dress was supposed to have 4 extra inches added because I'm tall and wear heels. Did I get what I ordered? Nope. Not even close. Did anyone offer compensation, or did a manager even bother to call and apologize? Nope! I will never, ever, ever shop at this location again. Terrible from the beginning to the end.
