I would most definitely never shop at Shoe Carnival in Vestal New again; nor would I recommend it…read morefor anyone! I found a pair of Nike sneakers in the clearance section and they were marked/ticketed $5. During the checkout process I was told that the shoes were not $5, but they're $75 and the manager was not going to honor the price on the box. Corporate did nothing to make things right nor did the regional manager. Why put prices on items if the company isn't going to honor them? Instead they make the consumer play a guessing game of how much they're going to pay.

So while this store looks like it has a lot of shoes, they don't have a big variety. That's okay though because I still found a comfortable pair of moccasins here for a reasonable price. The store is clean, and the staff are eager to help without being pushy - great leadership here. :)

They also have a lot less stuff and selection which isn't good for a store that's meant for that. Also theirs several employees their that are absolute witches toward people. I had to literally try my new pants and shirts on over my clothes in the aisle because of their stupidness.

When I walked in (complaining about my difficulties finding shoes) I was immediately asked to step on this contraption showing locations of high pressure on your foot and your foot type (arched/flat footed). After this, I was recommended a pair of shoes and several inserts and tried them all on. I did not leave with anything because he didn't have a large selection based on what was recommended, and since the shoes were a little pricey, I wanted the "perfect" shoe if I was going to spend a lot. Despite this, I would recommend going here since the service is good (much better than a shoe store in the mall) and the shoes are better quality.
