This review is for the Sutter Lab on EG Blvd. My appointment was at 2:45PM (with a 2:30PM arrival…read moretime), so I ran out of things to do other than to write this review out of annoyance I sat here for an hour. It seems there's not really a point in bothering to set an appointment (which you can do online or via phone). I finally asked them if having an appointment does anything and they said I'd be next. But I was still not the next person. Seems like it would be wise to check in with them periodically. After continuing to wait, the person came out, told me to do the test at home, and it was not blood work; it just requires DNA (a hair sample) and to read the instructions. Being pretty sure this was blood work, I went upstairs to my Doctor's office and the Nurse came down to talk to the lab staff. (Very grateful for her!) Staff have been friendly when I've been here. But they don't seem to be very organized when it comes to managing the appointment aspect of things. Some staff also appear very misinformed since they are giving patients completely inaccurate information. Giving two stars instead of one because I've had plenty of good experiences at this location with kind staff.

Every office I've encountered is well staffed, friendly, communicate well and professional. I have never had a bad experience with Sutter Health. They are the very best and have my full confidence. I've been with a few other medical providers, in the Sacramento area and can say Sutter Health is at the very top of Northern California's health providers. I feel fortunate to have my Primary Care Physician (Dr Dominguez-Jones), Cardiologist (Dr Lee and everyone in her office), Imaging and Labs all in one location...and just a few miles away. I encourage anyone in need or looking for a medical provider, please give Sutter Health your consideration.

You just fill out the check in slip and give it to them without a word. Lol!!! Waiting is at least 1.5 hours before you get to see Dr. Forde even though you have an appointment. Don't go there on walk ins and expect to be seen. You will waste your 2-3 hours waiting and the receptionist will tell you "Sorry the doctor is behind schedule. Just go to urgent care." Are you kidding me?!!! Oh by the way if you have an appointment I suggest you call a day before to confirm it because if they cancelled your appointment they won't even call to let you know. It happened to my mom twice. The lady in the front said she did but I checked all our voicemail and there were no messages. For this I am changing three stars to two.

I have been to this location 3 times recently and all times the phlebotomists have been incredibly empathetic and caring. In the past at other hospitals or labs I have dealt with so much judgement from health care workers for a symptom I have almost no control over. This is why I will always go to this location from now on. I visited this location yesterday and the phlebotomist even offered to let me lay down while getting the blood draw, which was truly going the extra mile for me.
