If you ever see DSB investments on ANY property in Seattle. DON'T DO IT! I was in my apartment complex before DSB came and they are terrible! I had mold in my bathroom that they used the wrong paint to paint over. Then was blamed that as a tenant it is my responsibility to clean my house which is true but this was an issue due to THEIR negligence. If I hadn't BEEN CLEANING my bathroom, I would've never found the mold in the first place . I was then told to shower in the MOLDY BATHROOM when I requested an alternative, all of a sudden no response. Even though according to Washington law I'm suppose to be provided a place to shower, management ignored my request. They refuse to answer any calls but have no problems sending random texts out to people. Never had to deal with an apartment where maintenance doesn't take something like Mold seriously or frankly the property manager won't take phone calls. Everything has to be a text, and frankly if you want to live in a place where you pretty much either have to wait 3 weeks to get any maintenance done or do everything yourself with no compensation; this is the place! read more

This building should be condemned black mold, brown water, bugs, fire hazards, rebar hanging out from the walls. My daughter now is being sent to a pulmonary specialist because they found growths in her lungs due to black mold. read more

We moved into an apartment managed by them while we were looking to buy a house and we had a good experience. I liked the portal use-- it made it easy to sign paperwork, request move out, pay bills, and request maintenance (Elias was great!). Chanell is definitely the highlight of renting from them though. She is SO responsive, so kind, so informative, and so efficient. Overall, had a much more positive experience than I was expecting with one of these management companies --- and I think Chanell is the reason for that. :) read more

I paid the application fee and holding deposit for a unit listed at $1100/mo, as we were getting close to closing the deal, Danielle W. responded to an email abt a question l had- then added... you know this unit is $1250/mo--- l was appauled. They had taken the original ad off their website. Thankfully l had the presence of mind to take a screenshot of the original ad, because l fired it right back to her and told them if they do not honor their original ad to give me a full refund. They apologized and refunded me. I know for certain this office is corrupt; if they weren't- they'd have no problem admitting the mistake in the email... had l not had the screenshot, they would have surely not given my money back should l have refused the rent increase... This company is the absolute worst!!! Had to threaten Daniel with legal action after management decided to change all the storage unit locks and I did not have access for 9 months!!!!!!! My experience with DSB has been really good ,so far! Joan, the lady in charge has been so welcoming and even checked up on us to make sure everything was good after moving in. If there was an option for zero stars - that's their deserved rating. Please. DO NOT do business with this company. We recently applied for a unit and a few days later and was approved via text message and was told to secure the rental by giving a security deposit. We have threads of emails with Danielle Whitelow and she kept dodging our emails and calls to retrieve any update on the rental move-in date and continued to say she would contact the property manager and never did by any means. After almost 3 weeks - we emailed Danielle and demanded our deposit back (she replied with no hesitation) because we emailed her a snap image of the unit we were approved for and it was reposted online with a different deposit amount and a availability was "now." Again, DO NOT apply or rent from this company - they're scammers!!!! read more

I am a Seattle-based renter. I verbally agreed to a lease term and conditions with Daniel Alhadeff of DSB Investments. Daniel told me the lease would last for one year and cost 1,145 per month. He said I needed to sign paperwork online. I logged in to an online portal and began completing paperwork. The first form was a bunch of terms, which I was required to sign. The next forms contained additional language requiring more money and other terms that I had never agreed to. I logged out without completing the process. I called him the same day and he agreed that no lease was formed, but he refuses to return my deposit of $500. I researched the company online and it appears that DSB Investments has used this identical bait-and-switch process on multiple occasions to bind unsuspecting tenants to terms to which they otherwise would never have agreed. I believe that this pattern of conduct and the process itself amounts to fraud. It is my belief that DSB employs this unfair and deceptive bait-and-switch tactic specifically trap unsuspecting tenants into paying fees to which they never agreed. There is a long-list of online complaints against Daniele and DSB Investments. I have not heard from Daniel Alhadeff since and have not received my money back. read more

Others at this company are honestly just not helpful, although I understand that is changing. SLUMLORD CENTRAL. DO NOT RENT from these people unless you like to be continually scammed out of your money. There is NO maintenance. Don't count on anything getting fixed replaced or attended too while you live here. Management will not spend a $1 to update or fix anything. Bait and switch practices until you sign the lease and are then tricked into a sup par apartment. The 'office hours' are what ever and when ever these people decide to show up to work. Voice messages, emails and maintenance requests are flat out ignored. Daniel who runs the place is as awful as these other reviewers make him out to be. If you see any positive reviews, those are most likely lies and fake profiles made up by DSB staff members. I have personally caught a few fake 5 star reviews posted online from Daniel- these have been reported accordingly and hopefully removed. Shame on you Daniel, you're not slick! This is a 0 star business. The only reason I'm still living here is because its a close commute to work. Like other reviewers mentioned I will probably have to contact code enforcement to get basic maintenance requests met and will probably end up taking these people to small claims court before this is all over. 0 Stars! DSB Investment has provided the WORST and most UNETHICAL experience I've ever had, hands down. They are simply incompetent as landlords and to go through the numerous violations and I experienced under their tenancy will take too much time. During my lease, they attempted to unlawfully increase the rent on me numerous times, ignored maintenance requests, ignored questions, neglected property upkeep, acted in a retaliatory manner and tried to get me sign a falsified inspection checklist (2 years after I already moved in), when I refuse to sign it Daniel said he would not honor my lease- which was already mutually signed and executed. Upon moving out, they tried to unlawfully keep my deposit but once they received my small claims lawsuit, they sent my entire deposit immediately! They've been sued before for discrimination (which I also experienced) and I am appalled as to how they are still in business. They are a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. Know your rights as tenants because they will attempt to swindle you at every turn! read more
