Started working with Darren several years ago. The quality of his work is always excellent, but over the past year and a half or so he has become utterly unresponsive and unreliable. I would not work with him ever again. Everything was fine at first. I'd text him, set up a time, he'd stop by and wash my vehicles, and then I paid him, usually with a good tip. Things went south after I switched over to the pre-paid plan where you pay $500 for a package of 10 washes. One time, during the COVID shutdown last year, I still had several washes remaining in one of the packages I bought. Nevertheless, I bought another $500 package just to help him out because I knew business was slow for him. But he just didn't seem to value the gesture or the long-standing business relationship. No exaggerating, there were times when I'd text him up to eight (yes, 8) times in a row over the course of a few months and get no response. No one reasonably expects him to be "on demand." He has other customers and priorities. No problem there. But to just take hundreds of dollars of your money and just not respond after you reach out to him again and again to set up an appointment is bad customer service and completely unacceptable. Basically, it seemed like once he had my money in advance, and then had to do the work later, he had no incentive to show up, and it just got worse and worse as time went on. A couple of weeks ago I told him I was tired of chasing him all the time and said I wanted a refund of the remaining washes. Even though I had three left worth $150, I told him to just give me back $100. The aggravation of dealing with him wasn't worth the money anymore. He said he'd leave the $100 under my doormat in a couple of days, but he never did. True to form, I followed up again and again and received no response. From now on I'll be taking my vehicles to the carwash place by my house. They do just as good of a job in one-fifth the amount of time and for less than half the cost, AND I don't have to increase my stress levels by dealing with bad customer service and unresponsiveness. I used Darren multiple times to detail my 2006 Toyota Truck. He did an amazing job and made my truck look brand new even though it was 15 years old. The quality of his work is on point and I actually referred him to my neighbors and they started using him. However.... I purchased a large used Sprinter van. I was going to park this outside in an RV lot and wanted to protect the paint. I asked Darren to come out and give me a quote to detail the van. DARREN set the price to do the work and I accepted. He then said he would take $50 off the price if I paid him in advance. I agreed. It took Darren several weeks before he was able to come out and even START on the van. After a few hours of work Darren said he needed to come back to finish the job another day. Over several weeks I reached out to him multiple times asking him to come finish the job. He always had an excuse that he had other jobs to complete, that the weather wasn't right to do the work, or he needed a day off. Mind you, I paid him in full and was left with a half-cleaned van which was now dirty again. After more than a month Darren came back out and washed the other HALF of the van. You could clearly see that the detail wasn't done at the same time and the van was left looking poorly when compared to a vehicle that he does all at once on the same day. What really bothered me about this situation is that I had to stay on him for weeks to get him to do the job he was paid for in advance. Then I found out he was complaining about having to do the work to my neighbors and family members and said he "lost money" on my deal as it took too much time. Lost money? HE set the price and was paid exactly what he asked for.... in advance! I was very disappointed to learn that he was complaining to other people about having to do the job. I had to constantly stay on him to uphold his end of the agreement. If you can get Darren to do one of your cars I think you will be very happy with the quality of the work. But I would advise against paying in advance and make sure all of the work is done on the same day, otherwise you will spend a large amount of time trying to track him down. After my most recent experience I will not be using him again, especially after finding out others have complained of the same problem with him being paid in advance and then it takes weeks or months to get him to come do the work. read more

I've used him for a few years now. Each time he does both my vehicles, a very detailed service is provided. An ex-car freak, so I like to keep my cars clean and when I see D going into each crevice I know he is doing an immaculate job. I've seen D do a top down soaping, where I've had other who would just apply the soap after cleaning just below the doors, bringing up the dirt and creating scratches. I called D and spoke to him for a while about what I needed done. I was looking for a wash and wax for one of my cars while I was at work. He told me that he would call me back with a time that he could fit me into his busy schedule and that was the last time I spoke to him... I never heard back! I've called him multiple times and left messages, I even text his cell phone twice. I guess he's doing pretty well if he can ignore a new customer. My wife and I have four cars...
