Best deal on high quality pellets. Got three tons delivered and stacked for significantly less than a big box store. Support local. :)

He would have Sunday lunches in a crockpot and we all would bring something to the table as Sunday was a day of rest technically but we had to work. So he made it fun to work there. Mr Knight was there always keeping things In Order over seeing. His smile I can still picture. Our company gave to charities make a wish and also habitat for humanity. We had things people needed from canning jars to toilets great paint great training. We had classes in areas of expertise given to us on site in a separate area to learn about plumbing painting lawn care electrical etc. we went to home base buffalo ny for some insight of new things that we would be selling as well as a sit down buffet dinner in appreciation . Now what company out there does this still and train and give you a document and passed In the training. Product knowledge is key to sell..We had excellent ppl work with us a family unit like feeling there. If we didn't have something we would tell them where to get it we would special order. Scott Maryniak made this job fuN, he was fair and listened to all of us. He kept us happy and implemented things to keep us motivated. One of our other managers, Dave, left the state left the company and came back to cortland and the company. It's all about the treatment they give and how welcoming they are to customers. They stand for their reputation and it's nice to have worked for a company that shared and cared and gave to the community. Vikki Zamay

The staff is friendly, and multiple times someone has taken the time to walk me through all the details of a challenging project. The garden staff is also excellent and really takes the time to help you identify the right plant. I can't think of very many Ithaca businesses where most of the staff have been working there for so long.

What used to be a friendly, helpful neighborhood hardware store now feels like a cold, chaotic warehouse run by people who would rather avoid customers than help them. The aisles are cluttered with stacks of products crammed so high it feels more like a storage unit than a store. Items I used to grab quickly are now scattered in bizarre places, and trying to find anything is an exhausting scavenger hunt. What makes it worse is the staff. The old team actually cared and would walk with you to the product you needed. Now, employees sit at desks, glance up as you wander around lost, and then go back to ignoring you. When you finally force yourself to ask, you get nothing but vague pointing. Heaven forbid they get up and actually show you where something is. The so-called new management is even worse. The guy running the garden department in particular has managed to turn one of the best parts of the store into a reason to never come back. Instead of listening to customers, he argues. Instead of helping, he brags about his "degree" like that's supposed to mean anything to someone who's been gardening since before he was born. It's insulting, condescending, and flat-out unprofessional. The spirit of the store is gone. The warmth, the helpfulness, the sense that this was a place you could rely on--it's all been replaced with arrogance, rudeness, and a corporate feel that has no place in Ithaca. If this is what being "Ace" means, count me out. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere.
