I love this place! They have several styles to choose from and are consistent. The salon is clean, well taken care of and nice. I've always had a great experience here and love the movies and sparkling wine offerings. I've had a lot of the styles but usually go for cosmo tai.

My experience at Drybar was amazing! My stylist, Hannah was so sweet and an absolute joy to be around. The salon is bright, and modern.. Super clean as well! I had the best shampoo of my life.. I would pay just for that! You are given a "menu" to choose your preferred style as well. I was here for a Yelp Elite event, so I don't think the cupcakes are always included but I did hear that champagne is complementary! I would recommend this location to anyone planning on attending an event, or just wanting to pamper themselves! Highly recommend, 5 stars!

Drybar is one of the latest "fads" in hairstying. Their basic premise is to wash and style your hair with your choice of a limited selection of styles available through their "lookbook." They do not cut, color, or perform any other services you would find at a regular hairsalon. They have their own line of products that they use. All information can be found either online or when you visit. This place is not for everyone. When I went to visit them I spent a lengthy time inquiring about their services and to determine if they would be a good "fit" for the style I was looking for. I chose a basic bob style which was not in their lookbook and asked if it could be done. The staff was polite to answer my questions and told me they could do it but with my hair length it would need to be shorter. Remember they don't cut hair. I explained to them the number one importance to me regarding hair is its health and although my sides are thinning, the back of the hair had some body to it. In addition my hair is color treated and I was concerned about their products possibly stripping the color in addition to the fact it is damaged to begin with. They told me their products were safe for my hair, however, when I researched their line on the web, i saw nothing that addressed my concerns. Please note their products are pricey along with their styling tools. I also asked how long one of their styles would last? I was told up to a week as long as I don't wash my hair. If you like to wash your hair on a regular basis then this place is not for you. I also asked if I had my hair styled and if the outside elements were bad would the style hold? I was told there's no guarantee. Once you step out their doors, if it is windy, raining, you name it, your hair is going to suffer as a result. They were kind enough to suggest I set up an apt with the manager who would personally do my hair. The cost as previously noted is $45.00 plus tip plus if you decide you want to go all out and add extras like an updo. They had told me most women come here for special occasions. The entire process I was told takes 45 minutes. If I got the manager to do it she would talk with me for 2 minutes and take it from there. You either schedule an apt or walk in if available. They also have a membership program if you wish to use them on a regular basis. I can't see that for myself. My hair grows and needs cut and colored treated every so often so this place is not something I would do regularly. They gave me their card with their hours and I thanked them and told them I would be in touch if I wanted something done. After I left I did some research and the truth of the matter is that there are some places you can go where you can get the same thing done in a full service salon for less money. Every place varies of course but when one is happy with her own hairdresser who knows all about my hair why should I go elsewhere? If I have that special occasion then I can discuss with her what would look good and decide whether or not an up do is really needed. I'm also not limited to 45 minutes. Sure, she has other apts but like most beauty parlors she works them in without shortening the time needed to complete her work on my hair. She herself has told me that in spite of breakage in the front, my hair is healthy. That's the bottom line. The place is very clean and well organized. I did not venture past the front desk since I finally decided not to make an apt. This concept is becoming more popular with the modern generation since it is a fast way to get in and get out. There are other businesses in the Pittsburgh which do the same thing. Still for me I must stress that healthy hair is most important to me. The only time I can ever see myself using these services would be if I was not able to get to my stylist or am out of town and needed something done with my hair fairly quickly. It's a lot of money to spend with a limited selection of styles. it is beneficial if you have longer hair and you are one who likes to go without washing your hair for several days. Still, they can work with any hair length. You can schedule online or directly in the salon. Located in the shoppes of Sienna Drive, ample street parking is available. Cards are accepted.

Not a bad price for a little pampering!

Who doesn't love being greeted with a glass of champagne followed by a relaxing hair wash with your feet up, and then a full blow out while watching your favorite chick flick?! How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days was on when I was in there, but Jen told me they play moves like the Notebook too! Personally, I hate blowing out my own hair, but it was such a treat to have Jen do it for me! Plus, it look amazing and the compliments flowed in nonstop! Dry Bar really keeps the bar theme going with their menu of blowouts with names like Cosmo and Mai-Tai. I selected with the Cosmo-Tai which was a combination of both! It turned out great and I've gotten another day out of it so far. Their blowouts are $45 which is a great price for some pampering! I wouldn't make this a weekly habit, but what a fun way to get ready for a wedding or special occasion. They do have a barfly club that's $80 and gets you two blow outs a month plus a few other perks - including 10% off their products that smell better than any other hair products.

You deserved to pamper yourself at the Dry Bar! I'm so glad we finally have one in Pittsburgh. The location is right near the new Whole Foods across from South Hills Village. It has its own parking lot with plenty of spaces. You can treat your self to a blow out, lunch and day of shopping all in one place! Upon arrival I was greeted by the friendly staff and a glass of champagne. Exactly what I needed after a day of work and sitting in traffic! The Bar is decorated I pastel colors, comfortable chairs and clean white colors giving it a super chic vibe. After meeting your stylist you are whisked back to the washing stations. The wash includes a scalp massage so make yourself comfortable. Back in the Bar area you'll find your seat and pick up the "menu". The menus has all of the blowout styles and extras such as Cosmopolitan, Old Fashioned and Manhattan. Pick your style and let the stylist work her magic. While you relax enjoy your champagne with an assortment of magazines and a movie. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days was on while I was in. The whole experience takes about an hour. You'll leave relaxed and ready to take on the world. In store you can take home a number of different full size and travel size products. The stylists are very knowledge and will let you know exactly what they are using each step of the way so you know what to purchase should you choose too. Perfect spot to get ready for a special occasion or to pamper yourself. Blow outs are $45 or you can purchase a monthly membership of $80 for two blow outs and a free birthday blow out. I will be back for future blowouts!

Sent email as requested, weeks later no response. I'm not surprised. I will definitely not be returning to this salon. Philip Pelusi just opened in the same shopping center, I will take my business there.

My first time at a Drybar salon! Arrived a few minutes early and was offered a glass of champagne while I waited. The salon is bright and airy, with hints of bright yellow. I was greeted by my stylist and we walked back to her station. We discussed the look I was going for, and a little bit about my hair so she could decide the best way to style it for maximum hold. They have a lookbook of various styles the offer, I opted for the Cosmo, a loosely curled look. I mentioned that I was going to a wedding later that afternoon, so I wanted to ensure that the curls stayed put. After that, I was shampooed and the blowout commenced. I really liked all of the products they used, I will probably be back for some of their dry shampoo! Since I was there right before Christmas, they had tons of gift sets which would make fabulous presents for anyone interested in hair, or just being glam in general. My only complaint is that my hair didn't really come out like the picture I selected. My curls were much tighter than the picture, and they REALLY stayed put. Which was probably my own fault since I told the stylist to make sure the curls stayed in tact. On the plus side, my second day hair looked great! Drybar is great for a quick and easy pampering, especially for a special event. I will definitely be back!

    Sorry for the flex

Best my hair has ever looked! I was taken back to get my hair shampooed right away and the whole process took less than an hour. The place is also really nice and they had a movie playing for me to watch. The hairdresser was super nice and listened to all of my requests even though they probably didn't make sense and contradicted each other but my hair literally looked the best it has ever looked. Thank you!!!

I tried Drybar pittsburgh tonight for the first time and had a fabulous experience! I was welcomed by someone incredibly friendly at the front desk, who offered me a drink. I opted for the champagne. Soon, I was introduced to my stylist, Jen B., who took great care of me. She washed my hair and massages my scalp which was a treat in itself. She then showed me the menu and I decided on the cosmo (loose curls). My hair turned out GREAT! Jen B. and the entire staff at Drybar pittsburgh were all so nice, professional, and also informational. They educated me on how to make my blowout last to its longest potential and recommended getting a silk pillow case because not only it is a lot healthier on your hair, but also your skin on the face. I will definitely be back to the bar! This was by far the cleanest hair salon I have ever been to and I can see why people think it's addicting. Not sure I would pay $45 on the regular for a blow out, however, it's great for a night out, before vacation, an event, or just to treat yourself. If you've been considering trying drybar, I definitely recommend it!

I attended the Yelp event and I was literally blown away. From the moment I stepped in the door I was greeted with a smile. My stylist was awesome and was super friendly. She helped me pick out a style then she took me back to wash my hair, then proceed with a scalp massage. All the products she used smelled fantastic and sipping on champagne while I was being pampered made the experience even better.

DryBar was the the best way to pamper myself and make me feel good after leaving! When I arrived, the woman at the desk was super friendly and made me feel welcomed right away! I will admit I was a little nervous because I never went somewhere before to get a blowout. Nikki was my stylist and very nice! Before washing my hair, she asked what style I would like. There were so many options on their "menu" with fun names, but I told her I was just looking for loose curls! Then she brought me and washed my hair massaged my scalp. It was very relaxing and the products smelled so good! While Nikki was doing my hair, I was able to watch How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and sip on some champagne! DryBar's prices are $45, which seems pretty average for blowouts. I wish I could rock this hair style all the time!

Updated review: I am very disappointed I received a phone call an hour and a half before my scheduled appointment saying my appointment is 45 minutes behind due to "unforseen circumstances." I was also given this call from California -which was some random number and a third party. I understand things happen but the woman told me I can just "take my time" coming to the shop. I had a wedding to get to today and a schedule to keep, and was disappointed I scheduled this over a month ago to treat myself to a relaxing morning. There was no compensation for this rescheduled timeline and I ended up having to cancel my appt. The first time I went I had an amazing time and that is the reason I wanted to return, but sadly I will stick to my regular salon. This was my first time ever coming to Drybar or even knowing what a blowout was, haha! I was so excited to have a fun evening of champagne, cupcakes, and a new hairstyle. When you first walk in it smells amazing and everyone was super friendly. The hair washing station was comfortable than most salons I'm used to and it was super relaxing. I wasn't sure what style of blowout to use, but since I straighten my hair everyday, I figured I would go with some loose curls. There's an entire booklet for you to look at styles to chooThey have TVs right in front of you and you can sit back and watch a movie. Blowouts are $45 which isn't bad if you want to look nice before an event or have your hair styles for a wedding party, etc. The products make your hair smell great and they really do work well. I purchased the "Texas Heat" spray for volume in my roots and it works so well!! Love it! I also recommend their dry shampoo-total life safer some days. I will definitely be back in the future to try it again.

"Curls" less than an hour after leaving the salon.

She does african american/ethnic hair in a top tier fashion, very personable with people that walked in as well as on the phone who called to inquire her services. Lovely conversation the entire way through, and I haven't even said anything about the actual service which alone is over 5 stars. Explaining the process and answering any questions and concerns during the washing, solution treatment, cutting, etc. and seeing the results as they were happening was very nice. The atmosphere of her salon is warm welcoming and Emily will be me and my kids permanent hair stylist. God is good, thank you Jesus for linking us up together and you will not be disappointed in her as your hair stylist too! Oh and in case you were wondering what service I received, I was growing my hair out for a few years and I got tired of my hair curling every day after long distance running (been running 11+ years) sweat, so Emily provided permanent hair straightening, a blow out, dead/split end cutting, and layering. The results are amazing, and even the very next day I went for a run, sweated like crazy, but when I went inside, I let my hair naturally dry and it went back to being straight.. No washing, conditioning, blow drying, or flat iron needed. Emily also provided a free after care kit with shampoo, conditioner, and detangler!

My expectations for the color were low so when my finished hair came out black, I wasn't too surprised. That's not necessarily where my issue lies though. Upon the initial consultation over the phone, I made it clear that my hair had a long history when it came to its color, which was why I was requesting a color correction and an all-over dye job. We both agreed to this and discussed the price ($300) which I agreed to. When I arrived, it was clear that Emily was already backed up, to the point that she had me leave and explore the mall for an extra 30 minutes so she could finish up and she STILL wasn't ready. When I finally got in her chair, she began speaking to me as if she had no idea what she was going to do with my hair, as if we hadn't discussed it in detail on the phone. Long story short, she put color remover in my hair and didn't even let it sit for 10 minutes before saying it was "good enough" and rinsing my hair, only for it to look the same as before. Remember, she charged me $300 for this. She also spent the majority of my appointment talking on the phone about her new trashy "TV show" that she's "producing". Then, when she ran an hour over doing my hair into the next girl's appointment, she made it a point to say that it was my fault and that she didn't know she was going to have to correct my color (that is literally the service I booked for). That being said, the color isn't horrible, though it's not what I asked for. Just know that the customer service will be trash and you'll be charged way more than what her work deserves.

I'll let the pics speak for themselves. I think the initial colorist (inbox me for name if…read moredesired) meant well but just didn't have the skillset and tenacity or motivation for the job. Bit off more than she wanted to chew? The salon manager (name if desire) was easy to deal with empathetic understanding and very service and solution oriented. First solution option was a consult with the color educator in traiing. Didn't feel the confidence with his solution consult. Wasn't offered a consult with owner/stylist (not sure why). Wasn't comfortable proceeding. Decided to shift focus from MY hair (I got it corrected elsewhere) to the botched halo. The other (front desk?) manager (Jessica) who was delegated to communicate the solution to me (refund thank god) when I asked what I could have done to garner a better outcome told me that I should have had my hair colored first (it was), that the $350 (100% markup) HaloCoiture Remy hair shouldn't have been colored in the first place (your salon did it, not me, it and jacked it up twice) and more or less that my hair color now IRL didn't match the picture I showed them lol. That was it for me. Here I am.
