The "Manhattan..." straight and sleek
Amanda M.

First off, I really did enjoy my experience here. My boyfriend surprised me with an appointment, and I was so excited! It definitely made me feel so special and beautiful. However, I don't understand why people would pay to come here regularly because it is quite expensive. My appointment was at 2, but I did not get called back until 2:15 or so. No biggie. I believe the girl who did my hair was named Remi. It was hard to hear, so I might have misunderstood her. She was very nice. She didn't talk much at all and didn't try to sell me on any extras. When she was washing my hair, she asked if I wanted any add-ons "like a scalp massage." Trying to be a good girlfriend and not make my bf spend extra money, I told her that I was fine and didn't need anything extra. She simply washed my hair and conditioned it. That in itself was very relaxing and plenty for me! When asked how I wanted my hair styled, I told her that my hair often does not hold a curl. I requested the "Manhattan" which is the straight and sleek style. We moved on from there. She took her time blowdrying my hair. It was soothing and relaxing. They gave me a complimentary small glass of wine (unsure if you get refills or anything but it was a nice touch). She then straightened my hair and put some gloss on it. In all, this took at about ~45 minutes. When I checked out, I was told the amount was $55. We paid this + tip. I left with a printed receipt in hand and did not look at it until I got in the car. I realized I was charged for the scalp massage. Apparently without that, the cost would have been $45 + tip. I did not realize that my boyfriend had already requested for a scalp massage to spoil me. I wish my stylist and the receptionist/cashier would have communicated. Then my stylist would have known to go ahead and do the scalp massage or the lady at the front would have known at the end to not charge us for it since I never got one. Once I realized that I (well my boyfriend) was charged extra for something that I did not receive, I immediately called. I wanted to call quick so they would remember me (& this could easily be resolved). Unfortunately, there is not a local number to call. You have to call a call center, which sends you in circles. Eventually I got someone on the phone and explained what happened, and I was told that customer service will follow up with me. It would be much easier if I could talk directly to the people at Dallas Uptown, since I was there less than 10 minutes ago. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my experience. For special occasions, maybe I would come back. We will see how they handle this mix-up. I am aggravated by how something simple is made so hard. My hair does look great though!! I feel like a Kardashian haha! I will update with whether or not I hear back from anyone.

This location is great, and the validated parking in this bustling uptown area was super convenient. Thanks Candace for my blow dry style! I was greeted with a smile and offered complimentary spirits. I had rose for the win. The waiting area is delightfully bright, next to windows for people watching outside. Well, actually the whole Drybar is a people watching experience! So much glamour and pampering. It felt like self care being in there. I'll be back!

You must stop here! I made a last minute appointment with Drybar-Uptown (on the app, of course). They not only accommodated me they took great care of me. From walking in the door with a personal greeting (and a beverage request) to leaving with a hug, this place never falls short of a welcoming environment. Angelica did my hair today and she was awesome! The welcoming desk staff had my beverage perfect and ready for me when I sat down. Angelica asked me which blowout style I wanted and we went from there. My scalp was burnt from the lake the day before and Angelica was gentle on my scalp but took GREAT care of my color treated hair. She had a relaxing touch from washing my hair to blow dry and styling. I love to coming to Drybar and today's visit definitely did not disappoint. Thank you Angelica and the whole Drybar staff!

Omg I love This location, it's so conveniently located close to me on Cedar Springs. Plus Maria, the stylist that worked on my hair did such a great job. Not everyone does a great job on microbead extensions and she made the hair look fabulous, plus she was also very sweet and easy to talk to. I am definitely going to be back to her as I only told her I wanted volume and tight curls and she did just that, taking care of my extensions carefully and blow drying and taking time to do it masterfully. Until next time! Side note, you'll get the parking garage validated at Drybar.

(Building is McKinney and Olive, DryBar is storefront accessible from the street) I know a lot of people have had bad reviews from this place, but my girl Gabby did a perfect job! Exactly what I wanted , kind personality , and timely. Appt started on time , parking was validated. Will be back and booking with Gabby.

So disappointed! My daughters and I booked and appointment a month in advance for a wedding we were attending. We wanted a relaxing no hassle day. We got there and and the front desk was super friendly and offered us a drink while we waited. They took us back one by one and we all ended up in a room together. They started to dry our hair and my girl asked what I wanted. I wanted big volume with lots of curls. My daughters also told them what they wanted. They told us appointments were supposed to be 45 minutes so we scheduled accordingly. After an hour I was surprised when she said I was done by what I saw in the mirror. She didn't even put hairspray in it. I thought I will just spray it good when I get back to the hotel. So I took an Uber back to the hotel to get my granddaughter ready because her mom was still there and we were going to be running short on time. When I got back to my room my hair had no volume and was very flat. The ends were either frizzy or straight as a string. I had to recurl it all and try to get it to look halfway decent. What a total waste of time. My oldest daughter had the EXACT experience as I did. My youngest daughter's hair turned out nice (the reason they got an extra star) I wish I'd never gone to the "professionals" Should have just done it myself! **UPDATE** The manager did refund $90 of the $135 which was appreciated but it will never erased the fact that every time I look at the wedding pictures I will forever see our messed up hair! So disappointing!!

I have been to all three drybar locations in Dallas, I love them all. I showed a picture of how I wanted my hair to look and my stylist did it perfectly! I also got a great head massage from my stylist when she shampooed me! I really enjoyed it all!

To the immediate left of DryBar there is an entrance for a parking garage so that is where I parked.

The salon is clean, lovely and welcoming. They validate your parking if you park at the garage so no worries! Make sure you know your license plate. When I got here, they gave me robes to put on which was nice. Miranda was so gracious and easy going, I felt comfortable! She gave me a deep conditioner for my hair and an absolutely beautiful round brush blowout! I will be back!

10/10. Do yourself a favor and book with Kat B! She's great at her craft. She gave me a few different options depending on how much I wanted to cut off and helped me pick a style that would upgrade my look without putting me into hair shock. I also booked a K12 treatment, and she not only gave me that but also helped with toning my hair. When I told her I dyed my hair myself, she gave me recommendations to prevent damage instead of giving me "the talk" about how it's a bad idea (like most stylists do). She geeks out on hair care and will tell you exactly what she's doing and how to replicate it at home. Amazing, amazing, amazing. I spent about $150 for my cut and treatment, and then another $150 on salon products and tip ($300 total). You can definitely spend less or more depending on what level of stylist you book with.

The quality of your hair service truly depends on who is doing your hair. I won't mention names…read morehere but you should know they have all different people working in your hair. Anyway, the first time I went was for a color refresh only, and a blow out. (My color is ridiculously easy. It's just a dark brown with ash in it. If my hair wasn't so thick and I had access to professional dye, I could do it myself.) So - first time I got it colored and no cut. It came out just fine but it was a little pricey IMO. But it was fine. Second time I went, I also scheduled a cut and style. First, the color was left in a little too long. My hair was fine but my scalp was irritated for like a week afterwards. Secondly, my haircut was alll F'd up. I didn't ask for any stylist in particular so they put me with 'The Weirdest Man on the Planet.' Ok, I thought, maybe he is artsy but honestly - I have no clue. More like an escaped prison convict. My hair was very long and I asked for about 2 inches taken off and long layers. Well he did not cut length and did not section my hair for the cut. He spent about 10 - 15 minutes putting product in my hair and moving my head around and recombing my hair over and over. Then he spent about an hour cutting extremely pointy layers in my hair. He blew it out and honestly I thought it looked good until I came home and realized the back of my head looked like someone ran a lawnmower over it. It was like an uber long feather cut mullet. I left Lure after spending over $400 and looked like I tried to cut my hair myself for free. I went to another salon to have it evened out (at least 3 inches taken off) but it's still doesn't look good. Very uneven layers. Luckily my hair WAS long so that I'm able to save it. All in all, I now have dropped over $500 on my hair and could have gone to Ulta for better results for like $100. Sorry, but I won't be back.
