This was my first time trying this place, and I truly regret going here- would not recommend to anyone. They ruined my very expensive comforter. I took in my $250 comforter from Anthropologie to be dry cleaned here. This comforter was a wedding gift 2 years ago and very special to me, and I have made sure to take very good care of this comforter. I have had this comforter dry cleaned many times, and it always came out looking perfect. The tag clearly states "dry clean only" and I dropped it off as a dry clean item which was clearly stated, along with my husband's suit. I was told the comforter would take a couple days and the suit would be ready that evening. I picked up the suit that evening and paid for both the suit and comforter, and was told to keep my receipt (which I did) and just pick up the comforter in 2 days, no issues. Two days later my husband picks up the comforter and they tried to charge him again for the comforter. I had told him it was already paid for, however they insisted it had not been and ended up charging his card. Thank goodness I had the receipt and sent him a picture of it- only then would they acknowledge it had been paid for and refund his credit card.
Once I removed the comforter from the plastic bag, I immediately noticed the material was ruined. The tufts on the comforter were ripped in many places and material underneath the comforter was clearly showing through (blue) on the white tufting. I was so upset as I could not afford to replace this comforter. I took it back up the store, the men working there were apologetic saying they didn't know how it happened, and asked me to come in the next day to speak to the manager, which i agreed to. I came in the next to speak to the manager- she claimed they were not responsible for this, and I told her it had been dry cleaned many times and always came out great. It looked like it had been put through the washing machine, I can't imagine dry cleaning could cause this much damage.
I asked for a refund and she insisted she needed to try cleaning it again, only then if I wasn't satisfied would she give me a refund. Never once did she apologize or take any responsibility. I agreed knowing it wouldn't make a difference, because I was tired of discussing the issue. Picked it up a few days later (manager wasn't there) and the comforter looked exactly the same. I explained the situation to the boy working there and manager promised to refund me. He called and spoke with her and they did. He was very courteous and again apologized for their mistake.
Bottom line- take your dry cleaning somewhere else and do your research first- I sure wish I had! read more
