Came here for lunch with a friend on a Thursday and there was a decent amount of people for a random weekday! The restaurant is partnered with/located inside of Grid City Beer Works. There was plenty of seating! We sat at the bar, our server was great and attentive. They have restaurant favorites and drink specials posted on the signs. For drinks my friend got the Blueberry Lav French 75 and I got the Huckleberry Mule. Our drinks were great! I've also tried the Grid City Bubble Works canned drinks before and I'd highly recommend those as well! We ordered the Pork Potstickers, Marinated Cucumbers, and Dan Dan Noodles as was recommended by our server. The pork potstickers were super dense and the wrapper was tough, unlike most other potstickers I've had. The marinated cucumbers had a great texture, but were very salty. Our favorite were the Dan Dan Noodles. The sauce was flavorful and seasoned well. The only issue was how difficult it was to eat the huge pieces of bok choy. Overall, I'd definitely come back here for drinks and the dan dan noodles, but the other items did not live up to how I thought they'd be.
I love this place, great food, great service and great beer. Grid city beer is amazing. They just opened as a restaurant and it was much busier than I've seen it. Congrats for sure. I wish our service was a bit better this last time, maybe because they are still adjusting to the increase in traffic. The food did take a hot minute to come out, which was fine since we had some cold beer to enjoy.
Large size hangout restaurant with good vibes. If you are into Asian food would def say check it out. The mapu tofu was amazingly good. I was stuffed to the brim from the dish. Really nice staff as well.
Went on a weekday and it wasn't too busy. We were seated quickly. The main issues that we had were that the server didn't tell us that a lot of the things on the menu were not available, both food and drinks. So there were multiple times that we tried to order something and she would say "oh, we're out of that." That seems like something that should be mentioned up front. Other than that, the food was okay. They have a good selection of beers and seltzers. I don't know if I would go back though.
This has been on my list for a while, and the food did not disappoint! We sat outside on the patio since it was such a beautiful day and seriously the best views of the mountains! For food, we ordered the potstickers to share, Dan Dan noodles (spice level 2), and the three cup chicken. Everything was delicious! The potstickers were good, but I personally prefer them a little crispier, these were more soft and chewy. My husband actually liked them that way though. My Dan Dan noodles were super flavorful, and spice level 2 was perfect, I wouldn't go higher or lower. My husband liked his three cup chicken, but didn't realize it came as a full chicken, so it took a little work to eat. Also, they didn't give us utensils to use, so we had to ask for them. Our friends really enjoyed their meals as well. We'd def go back!
Food Quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Don't skip on: 3 Cup Chicken, Dan Dan Noodles First time trying out DK at their restaurant and was a fantastic experience! The last time I had their food was when they were still working out of their commissary, so I'm glad to see they've upgraded and their menu has expanded! We tried a few dishes including the pan fried buns, mapo tofu, 3 cup chicken, and Dan Dan noodles. Everything was delicious! My *only* complaint is that you had to pay for extra rice. It costs so little, so I'm sad to see that you can't ask for more without an additional fee. The rice that comes with the dishes is about a cup worth and not quite enough to go with the entree (sauce/meat ratio to rice was off). Other than that, we had a great time. The staff were very welcoming and our server, Izzy was great with recommendations and was also very patient with it being our first time at the restaurant. He recommended "seasoning" a simple Coke and ginger beer and WOW, it really elevated the drinks! Loved having him at our table and creating a wonderful experience. The restaurant was well-kept and I would definitely recommend and can't wait to come back.
Finally tried this place out after seeing them all over social media. We went hoping to get Duck Fried Rice, only to discover it was a seasonal item no longer available. We opted for the Mongolian Beef and Sticky Ribs. For the good - the cocktail and beers = excellent. The sticky ribs were out of this world delicious! Do not skip them! Mongolian beef though.... Was super disappointing. The beef was so chewy and tough it wasn't even worth finishing. Hopefully we will be back to try other menu items!
Located inside of Grid City Beer Works. It's one of the best things the brewery could've done for itself as the food being made before Drunken Kitchen was incorporated into the brewery was not very good. I tried 3 items. Pork Pot Stickers, Taiwanese Fried Chicken, and Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup. The pot stickers were a good size and stuffed generously. I enjoyed them. The fried chicken was my favorite out of the three. Incredibly moist, out of this world crispy skin, and the sauce kicked it up a notch on the spicy heat scale. The beef noodle soup was delicious although the broth was very rich. Definitely can tell it's been braised for a long time. I was not able to finish it because of how rich it was. Which is not a bad thing. I did finish it off the next day for leftovers. Wouldn't mind returning to try other dishes. It is a little pricey for those who are on a budget. Just an FYI.
Found Drunken Kitchen on Instagram, and what brought me here was the Taiwanese fired chicken. Popcorn chicken flavors on a sandwich? Sign me up. Drunken kitchen is a pop up inside the brewery. Not sure if the owners of both are the same, but they run parallel with each other in the space. Food overall was great. Huge portion size so keep that in mind when ordering. All the food sound and are delicious, but you may be having a lot of left overs since they give you so much food. Braised beef noodle soup was comforting on a cold day. Beef was so tender, and the pickled veggies was a nice add into the soup. Takwense fried chicken was great. Massive sandwich with a ton of fries to come with it. I liked the sandwich but I think the avocado aioli wasn't needed. It kind of overshadowed the spices of the chicken. Drinks are really affordable here. You can get a 12 oz beer for $4 or a flight for $8 (with peanuts). Fun time here at Drunken Kitchen. It was a very memorable restaurant during my visit to Salt Lake.
I was heading south from the airport and was ravenous and thankfully found this spot right off the highway. Amazing meal! Huge portions and delicious at the same time. I will definitely be coming back. Well done folks.
It was an experience coming to Drunken Kitchen. It shares the same venue as Beer Works, so it was kind of confusing stepping in not knowing it in advance, but also there's no attempt at migling the vibes of Beer Works and Drunken Kitchen together. They're really just sharing the service staff and the space, and that's about it. We got there for a late lunch on a weekday, but somehow the wait for food was significant. It was not crowded at all, and I could see there was only 1 person in the kitchen so maybe that explained it. The braised beef stew was the star of the show and tbh it's the dish I've heard a lot of back in the days when Drunken Kitchen only took online orders. It was a gigantic bowl, full of thick big tender chunks of beef shanks. I only wish it was a bit less salty, i.e. we need a heart and kidney-friendly version maybe? The fermented veggie was very spot on, I loved it. The handmade noodles were good too. The braised pork belly was pretty delicious, though I find the accompanying rice to be lacking, and that to me is not ok, we asians could do better than that. Overall, the braised beef stew was worth the visit and I highly recommend it.
It is easy to see why Drunken Kitchen has been named the best restaurant in the city for 2026. Everything we tried here was executed perfectly. The stars of the show to us were their noodle dishes. We tried their pork pot stickers and their dan dan noodles, each of which you could tell were made in house that same day with how excellent the texture of the noodles are. The potstickers are massive and paired with the dipping sauce, something I'd say is a must have from the menu. The dan dan noodles were packed with flavor. I opted for the medium spice level and found it to be a perfect level of heat for me. If you're going for lunch, the craziest deal on the menu is hands down their fried chicken bowl for just 4.99. When we saw that price, we assumed it would be just a couple of bites, we couldn't have been more wrong. The bowl came with 4 drums and 2 thighs. The chicken itself was crispy, juicy and oh so tasty with their house spice blend. To close out our already massive order we got the Taiwanese braised pork belly bowl which, to no surprise, was just as flavorful as everything else we'd tried up until this point.
I've been curious about this spot since I drive by it every day on my way to and from work. It was a little underwhelming for my expectations. The prices were higher than expected, however they deliver on quantity. The flavors contained a lot of ginger for the four appetizers we ordered. Every dish was very hot except for the sticky ribs, which even had spots in the middle that were just barely warm. The sauces on the bao buns and fried chicken didn't hit like we thought they would but added an interesting complexity. In the end, there was no doubt we were both full leaving Drunken Kitchen. It was also cool to see the waitstaff dressed up for Halloween, it added a nice touch!
A few standout dishes included the ribs and the dan dan noodles. Everything else was pretty good, but not remarkable. The fried chicken was a little bit disappointing, less flavorful than I'd have liked, and lacking a dipping sauce. The dan dan had handmade noodles, thick and chewy with a generous helping of peanut sauce: great attention to detail is easily observable in the house-roasted (or at least re-roasted) peanuts, our table concluded this was the best thing we ordered. The restaurant's union with Grid City is a great pairing, as it provides a dog friendly rooftop patio, and drinks to go with the saltier food. read more

The food is so flavorful! Huge portions so one meal feeds two people. My favorite appetizer is the marinated cucumbers. My favorite dish is the Dan Dan noodles! The fried rice is also amazing! read more
So much food yummm I love getting left overs. All the seasoning, vegetables, and toppings were so nice. The beef melts in your mouth. Broth has a nice flavor. The service was nice and attentive. I liked that they played anime on a screen inside. read more
Food tasted really great but the experience itself was kind of disappointing. For a place that requires an ID just to go in, they practically had no drinks on tap available. Any drink we were excited to try, they didn't have. Over half the tap drinks were unavailable. Service in general was not great and the waiter did not communicate with us at all. Also this place is extremely overpriced for the food you are given, I was shocked to be paying these prices for the portions! read more

Finally I was able to try out this place. I been following them on social media for a long time. They had amazing photos and great reels post. I was so happy when they finally got a brick and mortar sit down from their to-go order only. The location is next to a hotel on state right before I-80. It's a shared kitchen with a boba and Argentina place. The service here is very meh. The video made them seem very happy and excited to be there. But when I went, it seems like they keep rushing me through my order. And if you ask them for anything outside of the order they get really offended. I asked for a side chill oil and got scoffed and glared at. Now about the food. The fried rice is very gingery. If you don't like ginger you won't like this dish. The fried chicken is amazing. Crispy and flavorful. The mapo tofu is yummy. Flavorful, but does have a lot of ginger as well. The 3 cup chicken was a bit of disappointing. It's very watery, so the flavor isn't as strong. I think this place is amazing. Service isn't too great. read more

This Korean restaurant, I have no words to describe how good it was. Once you enter the place, it just smells so good. The oysters were so good and tasted very fresh. The pho bone was so delicious, but what blew my mind was the fried chicken sandwich and how fresh and delicious it was. It is a little bit spicy, but if you like a little bit of spice, you'll enjoy it. read more
Came here for lunch and our server was a cool man with great recs. We got the spicy Dan Dan noodles and the Taiwanese pork belly. The pork belly is similar to "thit kho" a Vietnamese dish, except, the meat and rice were super dry and the bok choy did not complement the dish at all. The Dan Dan noodles' spice level was great, but the noodles were a bit overcooked and the meat seemed off. We paid over $20/person for lunch so had better expectations. read more
Been here a few times and the food and service has consistently been top notch. The first time, I ordered to go and the pork belly was some of the most flavorful dish I had in awhile. The restaurant itself is a small food hall in what appears to be a former fast food joint. Therefore, the ambiance is lacking with the bright lights and just in general not the most inviting dining area although attempts at sprucing it up is noted. I did notice on the most recent visit that the prices have gone up quite a bit. Yes the quality is great but it's hard to get consistent customers when entrees are nearing $20 even over $30 for a beef noodle soup to eat in a fast food dining area. We ordered the three cup chicken and the Taiwanese fried chicken with a side of bok choy. Everything came out piping hot and was flavorful although I enjoy the wings more than the fried chicken. However, the batter and both are spectacular but I prefer the flavor of the wings and the creamy sauce it comes with. They do offer specials if you sign up for their rewards so loyal customers will be back. I wish them all the best of luck because the food is that good, but the location and the cost is reasonably a deterrent for some. read more

Brought the Seattle Fremont and Capitol Hill hipster vibe into quality SLC Chinese dishes. Unique takes on traditional dishes and still some clearly traditional dishes. Mad respect to these owners who blend their experience from other restaurants and fine dining into casual affordable high quality dishes. If your still not deep into great Chinese food, get the chicken sando with fries and your happy. If your venturing into it a little, Taiwanese fried chicken packs a kick with their custom rub and the sticky pork ribs are for anyone, ribs rock a tasty sticky glaze. If you want a different take, go for the marinated cucumbers or mango sticky rice: unique takes on the traditional Thai dessert. Favorites of the traditional include the pork pot stickers, pan fried pork buns, dan dan noodles (nice take on traditional version) and Taiwanese beef noodle bowl. What helps set them apart is their handmade noodles and dough, bold flavors and willingness to re-create. Keep it up R-bros! Hope there are in-restaurant options for families in the horizon (21+ now)...order to go still an option until then. read more

I could eat here everyday! The food is both comforting and exhilarating. You can truly taste the care put into each dish. Highly recommend! The model is fast casual but the service is not fast. However, it is done with positive vibes and great preparation. Worth the wait! read more

FYI: this is a bar and they check ids Their service was great, they were friendly and they know their food! Their price is higher than regular Chinese food, expect about $30-40 per person. All the food were made well, but their flavor profile was over done for me. read more

Inside what used to be the second best KFC on State Street they got like 4 different restaurants in one location. It's nuts at first but when you let us marinate it works well Saw some ads on the good ol Gram and checked their page out and was hungry af from the pics and vids The dude that's on the gram is one of the owners and he's serving you at the restaurant! 5 stars for that alone! Booths are kinda huge like you got some space between you and table but it's ok not a huge deal The food tho! Chicken wings were big and delicious af we didn't like the sauce too much but on their own it was bussin Pork belly Taiwanese style was good af we killed that from the first bite. The smell and the taste matched so well we were sad we didn't order two of those! Dan Dan noodles with the pork was delicious af as well as the longan sticky rice. You could refill your fountain drink if you want or get another Mexican Coke for like $2 I forgot but that Taiwanese braised pork belly was smackin! Hella good we gonna go back and drop a c note for them things I miss it Great customer service, not too crowded it's cozy but spacey and the food smacks Ten outta ten my friend (make sure you just got paid or someone pitching in cuz it's pricey but you wallet won't cry too much cuz you stomach is happy ) read more

Probably one of the best meals I've had in Salt Lake City to date. It's inside square kitchen which has a few other concepts so it's like a mini food hall easy for everyone to find something they enjoy. I got the Bao buns per the servers suggestion. They were so warm and flavorful they had a delicious broth inside and came with a side of chili oil. I had the Dan Dan Noodles for my entree the meat was very savory and well balanced with the perfectly cooked noodles and bok choy, the peanuts give it a nice crunch. The portions were massive easily two meals in one. read more

Came in on a Sunday evening. We were notified the kitchen would close at 9pm, even though the hours for the establishment online state 10pm. We ordered crab rangoon dip and two of their asian fried chicken sandwiches. The dip would have been amazing but it was drenched in sweet chili sauce which took away from the rangoon taste. The chicken was juicy and cooked excellent, but the fillet itself had no seasoning at all. The restaurant is inside of a brewing company location so it was eclectic and modern. Waitresses were very friendly. Food has a lot of potential. Minor tweaks could definitely take it to the next level. read more

Grid City still exists, but the restaurant portion is now leased to Drunken Kitchen. It looked like you could still order any of the Grid City beers/seltzers from the brewery, but I'm not sure if the beer flights are still available. The vibe of the restaurant was very hip and young. I love that is still 21+. I tried the mapo tofu and swapped out the rice for the handmade noodles. I really liked the noodles, but think I would have enjoyed the mapo tofu dish more with rice due to the consistency of the sauce - it was a bit difficult to eat and the sauce was runnier than I had anticipated. It was very flavorful. The service was good, and our server offered some suggestions. My husband enjoyed his Dan Dan Noodles, but said he thinks he would have liked the vegetarian version better. We both would have liked more vegetables in our dishes. We both had to add some spice to our food, so if you enjoy spicy food make sure you get at least a medium and maybe some spice on the side. The food was a bit pricey, but we both got two meals out of each entrees. The food quality was good. The cocktails were very pricey and even the mocktails were expensive. It would have been nice to see more NA options. Overall, we will be going back to try this place again. I like that the menu isn't too extensive and that the vegan/vegetarian options were clearly labeled. Note- the handmade noodles do have egg. read more
I had high hopes but wasn't blown away. Everything was good, but for the high prices especially, not great. More affordable options nearby in China town with more authentic and robust flavors. $12 for 3 pork buns and $24 for Taiwanese beef noodle soup that we were bored of halfway through and didn't care to take home the leftovers. I like the concept of the brewery mixed with an asian fusion restaurant but next time I'll go get my noodles and buns from Chinatown. read more

Drunken kitchen surprised me! Their food is authentic Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine and there's a lot of great dishes. My favorite was the family style fried rice that was loaded with eggs, chicken, tofu, shrimp and sausage. I also enjoyed their bone in short rib soup that had a beautiful presentation and included a huge beef rib bone. Their fried chicken was also yummy as well as their pot stickers and pork buns. I was brave and tried their new menu item: fried frog legs! They really did taste like chicken! The people at Drunken kitchen are very friendly and knowledge about their food. Drunken kitchen is in a little food hall in South Salt Lake and it's nice and cozy inside. Their portions are huge and are perfect for sharing with friends and family. read more
