Our visit was great as usual! The service and employees are friendly and professional, making sure our drinks are topped off all evening. The large selection of beer has something for everyone from dark stoudts to juicy IPAs. They also have a great selection of cocktails for the non-beer drinkers.  The menu offered a variety to choose from and still reflects Shy Bear's commitment to serving  quality cuisine. The crab egg rolls were very flavorful and the Rueben was amazing. My burger was cooked perfectly and served with quality french fries.  The live music was great and provided a fun atmosphere for all.  Two words-- Jay Bird. Still the standard for all other IPAs!

The three things I look for in a brewery are an inviting outdoor space, accessibility to some good grub, and (of course) some quality beers. Big bonus if a place is dog friendly. Shy Bear easily accomplishes all three and earns a double bonus for welcoming our Doodle. The staff was great - they were packed but our hostess and waitress both made sure we were taken care of without being up-in-your-face. They understood both the food and beer menus and were able to make good suggestions. The overall atmosphere of the place was fun too - trivia night was going on while we were there and even the people who weren't playing along were obviously engaged. We had lunch not too much earlier, but we couldn't pass up trying one of the flatbreads that the waitress recommended. We were very happy that we did - just the right size and very tasty. We each got a flight of five so we got to sample a good chunk of their offerings. They had some unique variations like a cookies n cream sour and they also had some truer to original styles that I prefer - and I walked out with a four pack of their West Coast IPA to prove it. For sure I intend to try to convince Mama to go back again, get a room nearby, and sip on a few drinks outside when it's warmer - even though it's about a two hour trip! My rating scale: 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here

It's very family friendly so expect lots of kids and not a lot of supervision. The food I've had was fine- it's a brewery so I don't expect fine dining. The beer is mid from what I'm told. So are the cocktails. Again, you go for the ability to be social and have a good time.

Due to this, they only had fans to keep cool while circulating the outdoor air. Since we had our pup with us, we were only able to sit in the patio area, but it's not like the "indoor" area was really indoors. Anyways, I wasn't in the mood for drinking, so just had some lunch here. There's two restaurants combined at the food counter (which used to be food trucks here). You can get pizza from pizza and subs from Flo Bros Pizza and wings, burgers and sandwiches from Marin Eats. I had the Crabcake Sandwich ($15) with Tots (+$2). The sandwich was solid and tots were crispy. It's a nice space to hang out with a group. There are pinball machines, cornhole, and games for entertainment. It's nicely situated next to a creek, so you get a bit of nature too.

After living elsewhere for several years, I was really excited to see a brewery scene popping up in the area and the food trucks sounded like a cool idea. We arrived at 6:30 and put our food order in by 6:45. By a little after 8, our food had still not arrived and the food truck had told our husbands that they weren't equipped for the food demand, but a staff member came and told our girls that they would need to leave at 8:30 when their 21+ policy kicked in. I can understand not wanting small children running around in the evening, but our girls were sitting and quietly talking. I explained that we had been traveling all day and that the food truck was behind, and they seemed understanding, but everyone still felt rushed to eat quickly and leave. I think the adults were getting more cranky about being hungry than the teens, but takeaways from this visit is that the food service may be understaffed to deliver even a simple order and they will start enforcing their 21+ policy at 8:30 even if you're still waiting on an order. Probably a very cool spot for 21+, but I would not bring my teens here again, even before 8:30 for the food trucks.

Just not sure about the merinara sauce to go with the fries. Of the beers I tried, my favorite was the Swish (Swedish Fish-inspired sour beer). Service was great- our waitress was very attentive and friendly. For Galantine brunch, the omlett station was my favorite. Least favorite was that the cocktails that we ordered at the bar before the cocktail-making demo was not included with the prepurchased tickets. Second floor of the restaurant has a lot of taxidermy (not my thing, but may be a lot of other people's), and game tables, like pool. Will be back!

It was so good with the big wonton strips that came with it. Our waitress, Carly, was nice enough to send out more strips for the delightful dish. I would return just for the dip. I had a wrap and butternut squash soup that were both so good. My co-diners, my mom and sister, also enjoyed their food and we thought Carly was so sweet and offered great service. We are in Philly but would absolutely return.
