I have been going to this store for years. It was always a nice store, but it truly is one of the…read morenicest guitar shops I've been to. I have to take issue with one reviewer who declared the prices to be "through the roof." That is a totally unfair characterization. A privately owned store will not have the bulk purchasing that G-center will and prices on some items will be slightly higher. I would note, however that Larry's carries some beautiful high-end instruments. (especially Taylors) They also carry a nice selection of more economical instruments. What they DON'T carry is substandard instruments that exist only for their price tags. A guitar that falls apart is no bargain. They also carry a nice selection of quality ukuleles that will last without breaking the bank. (Lanakai) I would like to see them carry some Kamaka ukes someday. Let's not forget Reverend and Deusenberg guitars in the electric department. (standing O for carrying those.) One last comment: Brad is developing a nice inventory of vintage instruments that merit serious consideration. Don't get sucked up by guitar center. BUY LOCAL!

Horrific service, subpar selection and overpriced…read more I purchased a Fender Strat from these guys and was told they would get it to me within 3-5 business days and it was not delivered for nearly ten days. Needless to say, I purchased the same guitar elsewhere, since it was a gift for someone and got it for $400.00 less than what Metronome is selling it for. Since I no longer need the guitar, I followed their return police and emailed Josh to get a return shipping label, and have yet to hear from him or anyone else. They are trying to push it past the 14 day return window so that they can tell me I cannot return an unused guitar. I have the email proof that my request was sent within the 14 day window and I will contact the company I used to finance the purchase and open a complain with them since I am not going to pay for something that I am trying to return. I caution anyone wanting to do business with this vendor to not waste your time or money since they will play games with you and not allow you to return anything at any time.

Metronome had one that had been used and was described as very good condition. Chatted online (I think it was Josh) - very friendly and efficient - and ordered it on the 9th April. It arrived today (15th) and I would say the condition is more excellent than very good. Even with the exorbitant taxes (thanks to the UK and US governments), it was a bargain. Very impressed with both the guitar and Metronome.

This shop is much closer to home than our previous rental company and the instrument costs less per month to rent, even with the insurance coverage. The rental process was fast, we received a quality trumpet that was in excellent condition, and it also came with a nice case and a cleaning kit. The policy is rent-to-own, so if we decide to buy the trumpet later, we'll be able to do so at a lower price. Recommend for instrument rentals!
