Literally never go here. Had my screen and battery replaced, and within a few months the battery had completely died (no doubt an old battery just taken from another phone). Recently, I was having a problem with my 3 year old Samsung Galaxy S4 phone. It would randomly shut off even though the battery meter indicated almost full. Then it would refuse to power on unless I plugged in the charger. I wasn't sure if it was a hardware or software problem. So I called several local cellphone repair stores to see if they could help diagnose the problem. One of the stores I called was DropSmashFix in West LA. Over the phone I described the phone problem to Wendy, who said they had a Samsung OEM battery I could try out to see if it would resolve the problem. So I drove to the store and showed the problem phone to Wendy. She brought out the S4 replacement battery, which turned out not to be OEM. We tried out the replacement battery in my phone anyway. The phone powered on without a problem and seemed to work normally, indicating my 3 year old battery was the issue. I was tempted to buy the replacement battery but it did not have the Near Field Communication (NFC) built in. I decided to look for an OEM battery with the NFC. I went here because the photos took by my iPhone 7s became unclear recently. I thought it was because I scratched the lens. Initially, I called around to get a quote for a repair on my iPhone 5s charging port. This place gave me the cheapest quote, so I decided to drop in and get my phone fixed. As I arrived, I was approached by a guy named Rafael (the repair guy). Immediately, he walked from the back and looked at my phone. In an instant, he realized what was wrong with the charging port and fixed it. Afterwards, I asked him "How much I owe you". He replied, "Nothing, but can you yelp us". I was so surprised and at awe towards his response, so I said " Of course". In any case, Rafael was very honest to me. He could of taken my phone in and an hour later called me to pick up my phone; and then charged me. However, he didn't. This too me says a lot about a person's character, so I highly recommend this place. It's very difficult to find people that aren't always out to take advantage of others. I love the idea of a place like this. From what I've heard, you can probably repair a chipped iPhone at a cheaper rate if you're a good DIY person but that's not me nor do I have the time. I popped in at 915, they told me an hour and when I was back at 10 it was good as new. Also, I don't know how well advertised it is but they offer free repair if the screen stops working after repair (provided it's not broken / scratched). Pretty nice guarantee. read more

I stopped in here to get my iPhone 5s repaired...these guys were great. Very helpful and they fix more than screens. They replaced my "home-button" and gave me some really helpful advice. Both the tech...Rafael...and the manager took a lot of time not only to do the repair...but to help me understand additional features of my phone and how to use them. I brought in an Otter-box screen cover and they put it on at no extra charge and the repair was less than they quoted me on the phone. I recommend them VERY highly! read more

BEWARE!!!!! This place installs third-party screens. Reason it only takes an hour is because I don't use the proper protocol required by Apple to replace the screen. When I went to replace the battery on my iPhone at Apple, I was told it was a third-party screen and that whomever had installed it compromised the use of my phone. Apple told me my entire phone may not be functional because of this. When I called the company to notify them they told me they had a 30 day warranty and that's it. They didn't tell me anything about it. So now I'm out the $200 to replace my broken screen and another $200 at Apple to put on the inappropriate Apple screen. They never warned you of this situation, they never warned you that your phone my break because of this. BAD BUSINESS!!! Stay away from this place and get your repairs on an apple instead. The price is exactly the same and you're at least have a functioning phone. read more

I brought my i-phone 4 in to replace the battery. At $40, it was a reasonable price. They replaced it very quickly (less than 10 minutes). While the battery life was better than before, I noticed it was overheating and turning off and the battery life indicator wasn't working. I brought it back a week later and they replaced it again for free, no questions asked. Now it works perfectly! read more

Thrilled with the way they fixed my iPhone. The screen was coming off because the battery had swollen inside and basically rendered the phone useless. Took an early lunch, dropped it off with them, it was reasonably priced, and they had it working like new by the time I had to go back to work. My screen was smashed up pretty bad, but he was able to have it fixed in the same day and without too much of a hassle and it thought it was pretty awesome that he offered to do additional repairs just in case there were any glitches after it was fixed (minus refixing the screen if I smashed it again of course).
