Got the mini sized Rock the Road stacked sundae. 9/10 great. Good chocolate soft serve but I would have liked a stronger chocolate flavor. Toppings were great together and was a very tasty snack. Great for 1 person serving. 1 gender neutral bathroom. Seating inside is fun and music is very techno. 2 other couples came when we were there 8PM on a Saturday night (but it was COLD out). Friends got dipped cones but no one could finishe theirs and most wasted the last 50%. Friend got the waffle bowl and they did make waffles fresh. He was super happy but also felt too full after eating 1 whole order himself.

I love Drizzle ice cream! I think it's the best soft serve ice cream shop in Edmonton. What you need to know is you can get anything anyway you want. If they have the ingredients, the will make it. As an example, you can get anything made into a "blizzard". You can get any kind of milkshake flavor. You can make your own sundaes. The options are endless but their menu keeps you in line if you have trouble making decision. Have fun and enjoy!!

Drizzle takes soft serve ice cream to a new level. If all you are used to is ice cream from fast food places, get ready to do up your seatbelt. I had a chocolate/vanilla twist in a cup, dipped in chocolate. The ice cream was smooth and rich, with the coating absolutely decadent. You can get shakes, sundaes, and cones, with different dips and toppings.

Mixed ice cream (vanilla & chocolate) Dipped in espresso chocolate, rolled in Reese's pieces & drizzled w/ peanut butter sauce. Amazing!

There's something about regular soft serve ice cream that makes me happy. But now that we've discovered Drizzle Ice Cream and their delectable soft serve topping options, soft serve ice cream has just gotten way better! We stopped by this local little ice cream shop on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted by super friendly and helpful staff. We ordered a Crème de la Crème and the 2nd cone was mixed ice cream (vanilla and chocolate), dipped in espresso chocolate, rolled in Reese's pieces and drizzled with peanut butter sauce. Worth every penny!!! The waffle cones were filled with lots of ice cream, and there were lots of toppings on each of our cones. The toppings tasted fresh and flavorful. This is such a great little spot with wonderful staff and we'll be back for sure! There are so many different options that you could try every time you went. Check this place out!

I'm still dreaming about my visit to drizzle! It has not only soft serve ice cream but milkshakes and Belgium waffles with all the toppings! We tried an soft serve s'more and m hubby tried the choc-alot milkshake. The s'more ice cream was soooo tasty. The ice cream itself was so creamy. The toppings were perfect and they even toasted the marshmallows! The milkshake was also tasty however it had too much brownie bits and it was a bit thin. I prefer milkshakes that are so thick u can barely suck it up!! We will be back though to try another ice cream and waffle!!!

Drizzle Ice Cream is not your ordinary ice cream shop, in pursuit of fun, friendship, passion, and joy, this homegrown ice cream parlor is more about creating memories with dessert than it is about simply making memorable desserts. They offer gourmet soft serve ice cream with a number of unique dips and toppings that you can mix & match. They offering nothing short of a burst of happiness. This tiny spot with chill-style decor offering belgian waffles, milkshakes & soft-serve cones with creative toppings.

Drizzle ice cream is an amazing spot too cool off on a hot day, the service is spectacular and the menu has a variety of flavours to choose from! Definitely recommend!

I discovered Drizzle through a post on Instagram, and by the picture alone I knew I had to try it. The picture brandished a s'more ice cream cone with vanilla soft serve, topped with graham cracker crumbs, chocolate sauce and toasted marshmallows. I consider myself a bit of an ice cream connoisseur, so I was immediately sold. Located just off Whyte Ave, Drizzle is not your typical ice cream shop, they offer gourmet soft serve ice cream with an assortment of dips and toppings and your choice of a regular cone or their in-house made vanilla waffle cone. They have an assortment of different themed cones on their menu and every single one looks delicious. You'll want to try them all. You also have the option to create your own Frankenstein ice cream. After staring at the menu for way too long, I wound up getting the s'more ice cream cone with a vanilla chocolate twist in a waffle cone and I was not disappointed. They even toasted the marshmallows over a flame before serving it Not only is the ice cream delicious, but the shop is clean and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend Drizzle for your next dessert outing!

Very cute little Ice Cream Shop. They have a smaller menu which I personally appreciate. Do a few things great rather then a lot of things mediocre. Their soft serve is amazing and the BEST OF BOTH WORLDS menu item was delicious, I am a sucker for sweet and salty. When we went it was quite busy but their lineups move very quickly. The only downside is there is no place really to sit and enjoy. They have a very small patio with about ten seats that were filled up by the first two groups that visited them, so be prepared to enjoy on a walk or hanging out in the shade of an alley way. My family will definitely visit this place again.

If you love chocolate covered soft serve that comes in a variety of flavors than this is the place to go! Just to clarify it's the Belgian chocolate dips that are different and the soft serve is vanilla or chocolate. I had the espresso chocolate dipped cone, highly recommend that one! The waffle cones are fresh crispy and tasty! A nice option to grab and walk the Ave or stay awhile with in house seating. There are a variety of other toppings and flavors to choose from so you can go back again for a different experience. A delightful dessert option for any sweet tooth!

    Rocky road ice cream
    Andrea G.

We went on a Saturday evening and the line was fairly manageable and quick. The Rocky Road ice cream was quite delicious. Definitely chocolatey. The only thing I wished they would have done was toast the marshmallows like the s'mores one. The price was a little high but you got a generous amount of ice cream.

Tried this awesome new ice cream shop today. All of their creations are based on either chocolate or vanilla soft serve, with a "drizzle" or dip coating. The soft serve is deliciously rich and creamy. I had the Rock the Road and it really good. Will definitely be back to try their other flavours.

A very cute local ice cream shop! I love how they specifically do soft serve, and can do a few different things with it. The sundaes were so yummy! And they have a variety of flavours and different options. Definitely a great place to check out any time of the year. I will be back to try more sundaes!

Named Favourite Dessert on the Edmonton Food Faves We Crave 2022 list, "yelo" means ice in Tagalog... And this shop is going to change your whole ice cream world. Located in Old Strathcona, Yelo'd used to be located down the street (on the other side of the tracks) in a much smaller space. They have since moved right into the action and are now in a gorgeous historic building, adding so much to the vibrancy of the avenue. I've watched this building (originally the Dominion Hotel built in 1903) struggle over the years to find the right combination of business tenants and I think that they've finally done it! The interior of the shop is large and spacious but the most striking feature is the elaborately decorated Victorian wooden porch at the entrance. You can just picture yourself sitting out there on a hot summer day with a delicious ice cream in hand, taking in the sights of Whyte Ave. The vibe inside is a bit more modern with gleaming pastry and ice cream cases, mural-covered walls, and neon lighting. The colour scheme leans purple which makes complete sense once you realize that ube (purple yam) is the signature flavour at Yelo'd. The shop feels bright and fresh, exuding an upbeat atmosphere while still maintaining a specific identity. I visited on a Sunday afternoon with the intention to taste and experience as much of Yelo'd as I possibly could! There was only one employee serving us and she was incredibly gracious as we proceeded to bombard her with our large and varied order. I certainly appreciated her efficiency and kindness. Before we even begin the topic of ice cream, it bears mentioning that Yelo'd offers a whole cafe menu of various coffees. This also includes tropical sodas and milkshakes. You could honestly visit just for the cafe aspect and to sit with a delicious beverage (and yes, I will be doing this). Most drinks can be made hot or iced which is handy depending on the season outside. I was drawn to their Iced Ube Latte ($5.50) which seemed like a great way to carry the purple theme into my coffee. Swirls of purple ube syrup mingled with the coffee and milk. It wasn't long before the entire beverage wore a violet hue. I liked this coffee a lot. It was sweet in just the way that I like it and I believe that it may have been made with evaporated milk which would also account for some of the sweetness. The ube flavour (and colour) made this beverage interesting and unique. I could see myself ordering one of these regularly, both hot and cold. Yelo'd also makes this same latte with pandan or yema, which I'm sure are equally delicious. I also noticed that there are seasonal drinks to choose from and that there's a secret staff drink menu??! Clearly, I have a lot more to discover in terms of sips at Yelo'd! There are so many exciting ice cream options at Yelo'd!! Not only do they offer a wide range of hard ice cream but their soft serve has become pretty famous in its own right. However, there's even more beyond that because they make sundaes and ice cream sandwiches as well. No matter what you're craving, they've certainly got you covered. One of the main things that I wanted to try was their straight-up Ube Soft Serve on a charcoal Waffle Cone ($6.50). Yelo'd usually has two soft serve flavours on the go at all times which rotate, but they always keep ube on hand. You can get one solid flavour or a swirl of two. On my visit the second flavour was macapuno (coconut). I decided to forgo the swirl because I really just wanted to try their ube soft serve all on its own (and in all of its glory). This perfectly simple cone was magic. The quality of the soft serve was top-notch and ultra creamy without an ice crystal in sight. The flavour of the ube was nutty and somewhat similar to vanilla, captured wonderfully on this cone. Of course the violaceous colour is part of what makes it so much fun! I loved the crunchy and sweet waffle cone, the charcoal black acting in striking colour contrast. This soft serve is some of the best in the whole city, if not just the overall best. (I sometimes go around saying that hard ice cream is "over" and this soft serve only convinced me further.) Next, I had to try the most popular item on the menu and the dessert synonymous with the Philippines; Halo Halo (Philippine shaved ice with jellies, jackfruit, coconut strings, red beans + your choice of soft ice cream or scoop - $12.00). I find it incredibly exciting that halo halo has arrived in Edmonton and that there are a few places to try it these days. "Halo halo" means mix-mix in Tagalog, which is exactly what the dessert entails - a mix of ingredients that you get to mix together! It's like a big Filipino sundae filled with an array of flavours and textures. Halo halo can be prepared in a bunch

I wasn't that big of a fan of the Matcha Berry since it was more sour tasting and the matcha wasn't that strong. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back to try more flavours though. The truck doesn't have a fixed location so remember to check their Instagram page before going.
