Zero for Experience rating - Customer Service is pathetic…read more Customer service is non-existent. We came for servicing of our Edge - appointment for opening tome at 8am. Arrived 15 minutes ahead and entry to the dealership was blocked with their vehicles. They moved the dealership vehicles out of the way about 5 minutes before opening. Staff on-site did not acknowledge our presence. Nothing pro-active in customer service - no "we're just opening but come in and have a coffee..." No "good morning" or acknowledgement of our presence until Nathan (Servicing Rep) came.

I have bought several cars from West Coast Ford Lincoln in the past 30 years from this dealership…read more I finally have a Lincoln and love it, the best car I have ever had. So great to be retired and finally driving a luxury car. I have dealt with Brent Williams for the past 2 vehicles and believe him to be the best person in this company. He is sincere, honest and loyal. I recently had a issue and he helped me out. He was able to apply a discount and saved me some money. That seemed only fair as I bought the car there and am a long term customer. When I first met Brent he was a salesman but is now a manager. West coast is smart to promote this person as he is a valuable employee. The other recommendation is for Grant Mason. Grant is the internet sales coordinator. He knows Lincoln's and fords extremely well and is very helpful with any questions I have. Both of these men are doing fantastic jobs and should be recognized. I like that as a woman I can go to them with my questions and get immediate answers.

Update: Service Manager (Ammar Ahmed) replied me to explain the issue what happened and offered to…read morereplace those connectors without any charge. As West Coast Toyota had acknowledged the problem and resolved the issue, i am very much happy to continue my business with them. After that visit, I went to West Coast Toyota two times and received outstanding service from them. On January 9, 2026, I visited West Coast Toyota to replace the intake camshaft timing gear assembly on my 2013 Toyota Venza AWD (2.7LT). The repair was done well, and I'm satisfied with that work. To perform the job, technicians removed the ignition coils, breaking 2 out of 4 black clips (photos attached). They sealed the ignition coil clips with melted plastic but didn't inform me. I discovered this at home after pickup and left a voicemail for an explanation. Mehdi called back, saying the technician was off until Monday. On January 12, 2026, they'd follow up. Receiving no call by 10:30 AM (service opens at 8:30 AM), I went in person. Another advisor directed me to wait for Mehdi. Mehdi consulted the technician and explained the clips are fragile due to the car's age, and the seal is an improvement. I disagreed, noting many older cars have intact clips. I mentioned my plan to replace spark plugs at home, now impossible due to the seals, forcing me to use the dealership for this easy work. I requested a discount for their spark plug service; Mehdi refused. I pointed out the lack of notification or invoice note. He said he wasn't present at pickup, so he does not know anything. He suggested speaking to the service manager, but the manager was absent that day. There was no admission of fault, which I found unprofessional for a reputable Toyota dealership. Mistakes happen, but customers should be notified to avoid surprises and build trust. Otherwise, it raises concerns about other undisclosed issues. With no choice, I booked a spark plug replacement appointment without any discount. By the way, I'm happy to service there but disappointed by the careless handling--perhaps due to the car's age or for not purchasing the car from them. Service departments drive significant business, so customers deserve better. I anticipate a generic response asking for details; I'll email them. I will update my review according to the response I receive.

If I could make this a negative star rating I would. Beware, do not trust the service team, they…read moreare not there to help but to get as much money out of you and rip you off! I have to share an experience with you all. My son, bless his heart had a moment where his brain left his body. He had been told he needed to "top up the oil" on his 2022 Jetta GLI, instead of adding a quart, he added 6. Yes, he overfilled the oil. He realized his mistake immediately, once he turned on the vehicle. He did not drive it, as the check engine light came on and the vehicle had smoke coming from the exhaust. He was in the parking lot of Canadian Tire in Maple Ridge where he had bought the oil. He called seeking help, we advised him to get the car into a service bay there and have them drain the oil. This was done, the vehicle moved approximately 50 feet with too much oil in it. Canadian Tire advised him, its still smoking maybe let the oil burn off. The check engine light was still on, so we were concerned. Across Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge from the Canadian Tire is the Volkswagen dealership, we thought, best have a brand specific mechanic take a look at it. We took the vehicle, now overfill drained, fresh oil across the street to the dealership. This was Tuesday August 5th. Left the vehicle at the dealership as service was closed for the day. The next day, no help, was told we didn't have an appointment so not a priority, understood. They said the service light was not flashing so if we needed the vehicle we could take it as it was ok to drive. The day after that, Thursday, in the afternoon they start to look at vehicle. There was no further update on Thursday. Friday morning no call or update, I call and leave a message and send an email. Then at 1pm Friday I receive a text message with recommending additional service. The recommendation was "Cylinder Block Assembly - Engine - Connecting Rod: disassemble engine to inspect. - QUOTE - $23,237.87. The check engine was not flashing, the dealership told us it was safe to drive, but then quotes $20K+ for repairs? I wanted a second opinion, so on Monday August 11, I went to Maple Ridge Volkswagen, paid in full for the diagnostic work and advised I would have a tow truck come to pick up the vehicle the next morning. I confirmed the name of the towing company and was told by the team at the service counter, no problem. I contacted a mechanic who we have used in the past, he made the arrangements for a tow company come to pick up the vehicle and bring it to him. On Tuesday when the tow truck tried to retrieve the vehicle, the VW dealership would not release the car stating it was not paid for. This was not the case. The tow truck driver wasted over an hour of time arguing with the VW dealer to get the vehicle released until a staff member finally said oh yeah that is paid its good to go. We were charged extra for the wait time. The Jetta was taken to our mechanic who inspected it, cleaned the airbox, PCU, intercooler/intake tubes, replaced filters, reset service and check engine light. Advised that he could not find any damage, yes there was some oil overrun, but it was now cleaned and flushed out. He believes that a couple of good drives and the little remaining smoke will clear. Total cost, which included a $160 tow from our mechanic $946.40. Wednesday my son drives this vehicle to work, approximately 20km, no issues, no smoke no lights no problem. Now two months later of daily driving an no issues, no leaks, no lights or concerns. I have to ask, why would Maple Ridge Volkswagen quote repairs at such an excessively high amount? Where they just trying to take advantage of someone in a bad situation? What was the intention here? After contacting the dealership (General and Service Managers) and VW Canada the Service manager reached out to me. His explanation was that they were busy and this was simply a lack of communication. I am not sure how what we went through could be considered simply a lack of communication? To me they either were hoping I would blindly accept the $20K quote or say scrap the car we cant afford that and then clean it up and sell it on their lot. I don't know I am just assuming. Maple Ridge Volkswagen did refund me the $207 for diagnostics that they charged, since they "wasted my time". I do think they should have also covered the cost of the tow to the shop, if Maple Ridge VW had actually inspected and fixed the vehicle the tow would not have been necessary. Only because of Maple Ridge VW trying to rip us off that we had to go to another mechanic. I wanted to share this, many have heard mechanics will rip you off - some will, others will not. Get a second opinion. I will recommend Precise Automotive on King George in Surrey to any and everyone - Andrew - thank you for helping us out and not taking advantage of us. And most of all stay away from Maple Ridge Volkswagen if you don't want to be screwed over!

Was charged over $400 and told by the shop manager, the seat needed a new element (cost crazy $'s) and the AC compressor was failed and $1800 to replace, said they checked everything on the AC and it must be the compressor. So this spring, I found a local shop (in Coquitlam) to look at the AC, they checked the AC coolant and found it to be 66% down in coolant. They topped it up, put in a dye to check for leaks, charged me just under $400 for the work and the AC have been blowing so cold I have to turn it down!!! I will never use this dealership for service and even think of buying any car from them!!! I will let you who read this, decide what you think is going on at this dealership.

    Titanium Auto Group

My experience with Titanium Autogroup in Langley…read more About a week ago, I contacted Titanium Auto Group about a vehicle they had listed. After negotiating a lower price, including taxes and fees, the salesman had to get approval from the sales manager, who then needed approval from the owner. The salesman later confirmed that we were good to go. With an agreed-upon price, I scheduled a pre-purchase inspection for $200. The inspection revealed that the front tires had only 35% life left, there was damage to the rear and roof glass, and the vehicle did not include a charger. When the inspector attempted a test drive, the dealership had vehicles blocking the the vehicle. Despite agreeing to move them, they took far too long, and the inspector ran out of time. Fortunately, hewas Kimd enough to return the next day to complete the test drive and finalize his report. Since the vehicle did not meet my expectations due to balding tires, no charger and roof damage, I requested that the dealership replace the front tires, include a charger, and fix the roof damage. Agreed to fix the damage, but stated there wasn't enough margin in the sale to cover the costs for the charger and front tires replacement. Although disappointed, I agreed to proceed without these items. Before heading to the dealership to place a deposit, I confirmed the agreed-upon price. The salesman responded, asking where I got that figure. I reminded him it was the amount he and his sales manager had approved. He then admitted that, after speaking with a higher-up, they decided the price was too low. I was shocked--I had already paid for an inspection based on their verbal agreement, and neither the salesman nor his manager had mentioned that my offer was not fully accepted. In fairness, I requested reimbursement for my $200 inspection fee, but they flat-out refused. Bottom line: Be very careful when dealing with this company. Get everything in writing, or they may back out of an agreement. They were unwilling to honor their word, and I would not recommend Titanium Auto Group.

But after a solid month I was so tired of the high pressure sales, I was seriously thinking of just using transit. But Then I came across Cypress. They're a bit hidden on a one way street past Canadian tire. I actually went back 3 times before making my decision. Each time Zabi and Aaron were both excellent. Offered me the keys to take out the car each time I went back. They had the car proof reports, a complete inspection already done and the car was clean and detailed. I made the leap about a week ago and couldn't be happier with my choice. I've been enjoying my new ride. I noticed the second set of keys weren't working properly and another little issue with the passenger door not locking. They made me an appt to bring it in on Saturday and have the issue fixed. I couldn't be happier that I chose Cypress to do my business. I love supporting our local businesses and I'd highly recommend that before you make a decision on your next car/truck that you stop by and see them. Don't forget to tell them that I sent you!

AVOID BASANT MOTORS AND SHOP ELSEWHERE…read more We purchased a 2018 Black Nissan Pathfinder (VIN 5N1DR2MMXJC667699) from Basant Motors, only to discover it had a blown engine. Do not buy this vehicle as it is still on the lot. Dealers have a legal responsibility to disclose major system failures (engine, transmission, A/C, electrical, etc.), but Basant failed to do so. The issues began immediately and weeks later we found out the vehicle required a completely new engine. Lack of transparency: Either Basant didn't inspect the vehicle properly or knowingly sold it with significant issues. There were yellow markings, on several of the engine parts, suggesting prior repairs. The sales rep told us this is what they do as part of the vehicle inspection. Yet no other vehicles had these markings. A third-party mechanic explained to us that this is an industry trick when they reassemble the engine to engine it is reassembled properly. Refusal to refund: When we requested a refund, Basant refused. After lengthy discussions, they offered to find us a replacement vehicle at a "significant discount" but repeatedly tried upselling us on luxury options well beyond our budget. Delay tactics: Over two months, they made excuses, had us come in to view vehicles that weren't on the lot, and delayed resolution. When they finally claimed the Pathfinder was repaired, they failed to provide details about the replacement engine's origin. This lack of transparency destroyed our confidence in their workmanship. We consulted a lawyer, but since Basant Motors had repaired the engine, we no longer had legal grounds to pursue a case. It felt like they deliberately delayed and made excuses to prevent us from purchasing a different vehicle until the repairs were completed. In the end, we chose to buy a a different vehicle from them because they refused to provide any details about the replacement engine in the Pathfinder or give us a refund. Things I learnt the hard way: 1. Always get a third-party mechanic inspection before purchasing. 2. Confirm details like the number of key fobs and perform a full walk-around inspection before finalizing the price. 3. Insist on viewing car comps and Carfax reports during negotiations. Insist that they turn their monitors so you can see what they are viewing. We purchased our own car fax histories and what we were being told did not align with our reports. 4. Avoid purchasing their extended warranty, particularly if it's through Assurant. Many independent and smaller mechanics won't accept work covered by extended warranties because these companies rarely pay out. In our case, none of the repair shops, including major dealerships in Maple Ridge, Langley, or the Tri-Cities, had even heard of Assurant. This effectively means the warranty is only usable at Basant Motors, and even then, Assurant often refuses to cover the work--leaving you to pay for repairs out of pocket. 5. Carfax reports only provide the total cost of repairs on a vehicle without detailing the specific work done, making it challenging to make an informed decision. 6. Basant increased vehicle prices right before showing them to us. Using cargurus.ca we were able check price histories, view their changes and easily view cost comparisons. 7. Vehicles on their lot often seem overpriced compared to similar listings. You'll notice price drops after 128 days, which may help with negotiation if you're still considering them. Bottom Line - Basant Motors' practices are misleading, and their customer service leaves much to be desired. Protect yourself by shopping at a franchise dealership that follows guidelines set by the Vehicle Sales Authority of BC. Trustworthy dealers value their customers and are transparent about vehicle history and repairs. Instead, consider visiting Sam next door at Applewood.
