No major overhauls , but a couple of brake jobs and replacing some belts if I'm not mistaken. Our experience thus far is that he has always come across as honest and trustworthy. For instance, he'll let you know if only your front brakes need to be changed and the backs still have a couple of years left on them. He does not seem to be one to gouge. We are about due for another brake job on a new vehicle and will be giving him a call soon. I would expect for the same level of service and professionalism to continue. One final thing, you have to keep in mind that he is basically a one man show, sometimes with a helper, but no secretary or front desk help. He's a man trying to make an honest living and has carved out his niche in South Austin, mostly by word of mouth referrals. With that said, cut the guy some slack on the call-backs.

They did a full inspection of all the parts that might be causing it and told me what they checked but didn't find anything. They didn't charge me anything. I don't know if that's common, but I was very grateful that they were so diligent, as it could've been anything that might've caused me trouble later on. So I recommend these guys! Later that day, I noticed the smell again and on a hunch I checked the spare wheel well and sure enough -- on top was wet paper bags and an almost empty bottle of distilled water with a leak in the bottom!

They did not look at the passenger side or rear brakes at all before quoting me over $2400 to replace both front brakes. They lied to me, telling me that the rotors and calipers on both sides needed to be replaced due to the pads wearing down enough to damage the rotors. The passenger side had almost new pads as well as a perfect rotor. THEY DID NOT EVEN TAKE OFF THE PASSENGER SIDE TIRE TO LOOK AT THE BRAKES.
