This location is not fancy but the staff was exceedingly great. The woman who helped us offered to upgrade us and then even let us select the vehicle we wanted. We were given an almost brand new car that had all the bells and whistles you want in a modern car as well as an absolutely great in-car guidance system with a huge screen (we kind of loved it). Our friend then proceeded to ask us about our trip, where we were going with the car and she gave us a number of helpful tips and suggestions. Totally unnecessary but extremely appreciated. She and the gentleman who did the walkaround with us were both just as nice and could be. Our rental went smoothly, we returned using the key drop box as instructed and had no issues at all. Would absolutely rent from here again.

At drop-off, however, they claimed there was a tiny scratch (less than 1 cm) on the rim, something I hadn't even noticed. Honestly, I hadn't checked the rims so closely, and it might have already been there. A week later I was charged almost €300: €250 for that tiny scratch plus admin fees. I disputed the charge as completely disproportionate, but after 10 days of "review" they replied curtly that it was a fixed fee according to their damage matrix, with no intention of reconsidering. They already had my credit card on file, so nothing I could do. Let's be honest: they won't replace the rim, they'll just add the note to the car's record and wait for the next unlucky customer. From day…read more1 we noticed a weird sound, and a couple days later a red signal in the board panel indicated "WARNING: Gearbox Failure Risk". At that time we were in Inverness and we brought the car to the office located at the airport. They told us to come back the following day as it was on a Sunday and their branch for damaged cars was closed. We came back next day and they said they could only give us an electric car for the day and we should call Glasgow airport office to get a (petrol) replacement car. We phoned countless times to the customer service number in the Glasgow office and spoke to many employees; all of them said the same thing, along the lines of: "leave it in my hands we will find a replacement car for you and we will contact to give you further instructions to get it"... none of them did anything and nobody ever contacted back, and we spend the whole day of Monday calling. In frustration we returned to the Inverness office on Tuesday, they kept saying that the problem and the responsibility was with the office in Glasgow and we should call them. We explained that we had been calling all day long with cero result. Only when we explained that we had lo leave our accommodation in Inverness and move on to our next accommodation in the isle of Skye, and that there were not easy access to charging stations for electric vehicles in the place we were heading to they accepted to provide us with a petrol replacement car, at 16:00 hr. The whole experience was frustrating, extremely unpleasant and we lost three days of our vacation doing nothing but fighting to get our car replaced. I will certainly never use this rental company again!!

Now I only trust Sixt will waive any charges as I as regular renter have not been pre warned that it's a Diesel engine, which I never rent. Let's see if I can make it 5 stars tomorrow. All of those tactics paled when compared with the fact that, after signing for the car, they made us walk almost a mile to a mysterious parking garage (with out-of-order elevator and little signage) to pick up the car. We are two mature people dragging luggage about a mile! No shuttle, no staff to drive us to the garage! The Sixt business model must assume they never need return customers! Staff were pleasant and the car works, but the long walk was unforgivable.

The pickup process was long and took almost 30 minutes to confirm the reservation. After we were confirmed, we were pointed in the direction of a building on the edge of the train station complex, maybe 300m away. A nice gentleman met us there and picked us up in their shuttle to drive to the car park where the car was located. We had a large group of 6 and all the associated luggage that comes with that. We booked a van and everything was great with the vehicle. One of our party has mobility issues and was able to get in and out of the van comfortably. The return is where it all unravelled. We arrived back on the last day of our trip, at the agreed drop off time to the car park. There was no staff member to be found at the office in the car park. Eventually, a shuttle pulled in with some other customers and a staff member. We told him we were there to drop off the car and asked if we could be returned to the point we were picked up, 300m from the train station. He told us he was too busy and there was no shuttle available back to the station. We suggested we drive the car back to the shuttle pick up spot and deliver the keys to the office. His response, "I don't care what you do". Our only option was to walk back to the station. We unloaded all our bags and set off to the lift only to discover it was broken. Our only option was to walk up the car park entrance ramp and walk back to the station. The walk was almost 1km with all our bags and our person with restricted mobility. If this location is going to provide shuttle service, it needs to be in both directions. We felt like it was all nice on the front end until they have secured your money, then abandon you. We will never book with Sixt in any location worldwide due to the way we were treated.

The reception area is vaguely clean: not dirty, not spotless and the furniture looks a little run down. The staff were pleasant enough and thankfully didn't try to force an upset. We thought it was a little shonky that the receptionist demanded a €1000 "deposit" which was not mentioned when we booked Other than that? Great car, decent service and reasonably efficient staff

Europcar took TWO YEARS to notify me of a missed payment when returning a vehicle to one of their…read morerental depots in Amsterdam.It was rented and dropped off in good faith that my card details were on file and Europcar would deduct the amount. It's not the customers responsibility to ensure payment is taken correctly, the onus is on the organisation to ensure payments are processed correctly. Utterly ridiculous that it took this long. When they finally decided to get in contact, it was over email, with spelling and grammar errors, which was assumed to be a phishing email. Will not deal with Europcar again the future nor recommend their service to others.

Klacht over afhandeling schade - Diks Autoverhuur…read more Mijn ervaring met Diks Autoverhuur is helaas zeer teleurstellend. Tijdens de huurperiode lijken zij andere spelregels te hanteren dan vooraf wordt gecommuniceerd. Bij het inleveren van het voertuig was er géén sprake van nieuwe schade. De auto is netjes en conform afspraak ingeleverd. Tot mijn verbazing ontving ik drie dagen later alsnog een telefoontje met een schadeclaim en een bijbehorende factuur. Ik heb direct gereageerd en verwezen naar de inleverprocedure: hoe kan het dat een schade pas drie dagen na inlevering wordt geconstateerd, zonder enige controle bij overdracht? De auto werd achtergelaten op een verzamelplek op een privéterrein buiten kantoortijden, een plek zonder toezicht of borging van overdracht. Mijn bezwaar is volledig genegeerd. Geen enkele inhoudelijke reactie, enkel een veel te hoge factuur voor een schade die ik niet heb veroorzaakt. Tot overmaat van ramp betreft het een voertuig dat zichtbaar al onder de gebruikssporen en eerdere schade zit, en volgens mij grotendeels is afgeschreven. Ik vind het onacceptabel hoe er met klanten wordt omgegaan en hoe gemakkelijk de verantwoordelijkheid wordt afgeschoven. Dit voelt onterecht en onprofessioneel. Mijn advies is dan ook, om bij deze organisatie géén auto te huren.

In januari huurde ik bij DIKS een bus om mee te kunnen verhuizen. Begin februari ontvang ik een…read moremail van DIKS. DIKS beschuldigde mij ervan schade te hebben gemaakt aan de camera. (om achteruit in te parkeren) Ik werd door DIKS verantwoordelijk gehouden voor een schade van €481,-. Ik heb die camera nog gebruikt bij het parkeren bij hen voor de deur op de Willem de Zwijgerlaan om de bus in te leveren en die was 100% in orde. Er is absoluut geen schade gereden in de tijd dat ik de bus bezat en heb deze zonder enige schade geparkeerd op het terrein. Ik maakte bezwaar en wilde mijn borg terug. Ik ben bij het bedrijf op de Willem de Zwijgerlaan langs gegaan en heb daar mijn beklag gedaan. Het personeel daar heeft mij te woord gestaan, maar had geen verdere bevoegdheden om mij verder te helpen. Zij hebben mij gezegd dat de aanklacht in behandeling zou worden genomen en ik moest afwachten op meer nieuws. Het personeel gaf mij wel informatie over het bewijs; de camera is kapot gefotografeerd op een andere locatie dan ik de bus heb ingeleverd! De foto van de schade aan de camera zou zijn genomen in Westpoort, terwijl ik de bus inleverde aan de Willem de Zwijgerlaan. Ik heb de foto zelf niet gezien evenals alle andere bewijsstukken waaruit zou blijken dat ik verantwoordelijk zou zijn voor de schade aan het voertuig. Later in februari wordt ik gebeld met de mededeling dat de zaak is nagekeken en ik nog steeds verantwoordelijk wordt gehouden voor de schade. Dat was alles. Ik stond op het punt om de rechtsbijstand in te schakelen en/of een geschillencommissie aan te schrijven. Daar heb ik mee gedreigd in een brief aan de schadeafdeling van DIKS. Anderhalve week later werd er mij een nieuwe factuur gestuurd en is mijn borg teruggestort. Dit was de laatste keer dat ik een auto of bus bij DIKS heb gehuurd. Deze zaak is ontzettend slecht afgehandeld, de communicatie was vreselijk en de structuur in het bedrijf lijkt erbarmelijk.
