Hidden inside the PACAF HQ building so not many people can get to it, but by far the best location with the best service.

I loved: - the easy parking - convenient location (I may have bought the birthday gifts right before at Pearlridge!) - how this is a non-profit that supports people with disabilities and sweet animals - snuggling with the adorable puppies outside available for adoption (I was so tempted!) My daughter loved: - feeding cats - playing with cats I was a little worried because she had a bad experience at a puppy cafe in Japan, but the kittens seemed well behaved. We got to enjoy grilled cheese sandwiches and and apple juice, and some outside food like pizza, because we were celebrating a birthday party. We'd love to come back and play with the animals again!

The space is thoughtfully separated into two rooms: one for little kittens and one for the adult cats, which I really appreciated. You're free to wander back and forth between rooms, so it feels relaxed and never rushed. Your visit comes with a small treat for you and a variety of cat toys to choose from! The cats are adoptable, which I thought was such a kind and humane touch. It's clear they genuinely care about finding these cats loving homes. Just a friendly heads-up: scratches can happen. Pretty sure the owner does their best to keep those tiny murder mittens trimmed, but cats will be cats. If you do leave with a few battle scars like I did, they've got you covered with bandaids and lint rollers too, because the cat hair is inevitable. Overall, this place is cozy, thoughtful, and incredibly cute!! Such a lovely experience!! I'd absolutely come back again!!

They have a great mission: They team up with the Hawaiian Humane Society to showcase cats and kittens that are available for adoption, and if you are vetted and selected, you can take your chosen cat(s) home for their new life with you! Even if you're not in the market for a new companion, you can go to the Café, get a coffee or Italian soda, eat a scone, and pet adorable cats. There's always a nice rotating mixture of frisky kittens and older cats, and some are napping while others are playing. There are toys in the room where the cats are so you can interact with them. I always recommend reservations but you can walk in and see if there are spots available. You get lots of time to interact with the cats and it's usually not packed so there's room to interact with multiple kitties. Please check it out--it's such a good cause!

The price is also very affordable compared to other cat cafes. Reservations are recommended. I really like that the visit time is an hour instead of 30 minutes like some other places that charge double the price, which is honestly kind of crazy. I came with my daughter and it was $31 total for an hour of playing with the cats, which I think is totally worth it. They also have a cafe, which adds a nice touch to the experience.

I got the Beef Stew Plate $16.99 that came with white rice and potato mac salad. The sourdough melt and beef stew plate came with measly portions. I counted five pieces of beef on my plate. The Hawaiian plate was worth it. It had so much more food on there. The food was good. It's the same food they serve at Highway Inn. I really liked the smoked beef in the melt. It had a really strong smoky taste. The beef stew was on the salty side. The decor was awesome. It was vintage with wood furnishings and very kid friendly. They even had a play area with books.

There are many of these types of cat cafes on Oahu. There is also one on Maui. The other type is a for profit business that offers customers the opportunity to relax and interact with beautiful and sometimes exotic animals. This model is very popular in Japan and Cat Cafe MOFF, as a Japanese company, definitely falls into this category. Customers pay for a fixed amount of time with the cats (30 minutes, 1 hour, etc.) The entry comes with a complimentary drink. You can purchase additional treats for the cats. The cats here are not adoptable. They are well cared for in a clean and comfortable environment. The staff is pleasant and attentive to the cats' care and needs. It would not be fair to criticize one for not being enough like the other. Personally, our family supports both. Our kids loved their time at Cat Cafe MOFF and can't wait to return. We found street parking across the street since parking in front of the café was limited. Jasmin welcomed us and pointed to the menu on the wall. We saw pictures of the food outside the window and the menu was written on a chalkboard stand. Her cafe is small, but very cozy with bright, cool looking furniture, and there were beautiful art work on the walls, and she had on some catchy Arabian music as well. We tried the Meza plate: Baba Ghanoush (smoky eggplant dip), Dolmas ( tangy grape leaves), Za'atar bread( spices, onions)- Jasmin said this was everyone's favorite, after the taste of this bread you guys, it became our favorite! It tastes super nice and it was flavorful! There was feta cheese, kalamata olives, and bread cut in a triangular shape. Jasmin told us to open the bread and grab the dips, and cheese with it. Every bite was a whole different experience! It was delicious! Jasmin said we had to eat the Za'atar bread, with the cheese on it and it was just yum! Jasmin let us try Saudi coffee, with sweet dates, and I also ordered the Honey Rose Latte. The Saudi coffee had cardamom in it so it's different from regular coffees. My Honey Rose Latte was good too. Jasmin asked if I wanted my latte sweeter and added more of the sweetener in my coffee. Even Ryan liked it too! The rose water gave it a nice touch. We also had the Turkey Panini~Jasmin's turkey panini was super crispy! There was cheese melting in the inside! You can hear the crunch in every bite! There were vegetables in it too like bell peppers, pesto, zucchini, and turkey meat. Ryan and I were really loving it! And for the final course, we had to try the desserts! We ordered two kinds of cakes, the sour cream poppy seed cake, and pumpkin spice loaf. These cakes were super moist, and not as sweet, which was perfect with our coffee. And there was a nice sugary crumble texture with it! So friends, if you are feeling adventurous and want to try something new, come on down to Jasmin's cafe at Mirage Arts & Coffee. She also does open mic nights, there would be live entertainment, belly dancers, so if you want to have a small get together, Jasmin welcomes everyone. Jasmin is a wonderful host. She will walk you through everything if you are not familiar with the foods, and she will entertain you too. This place will take you to another level, transport you to somewhere you have never been. So I do recommend you guys trying for the experience.
