As a hesitant participant, who was gifted the Head start -- test the waters class, I was extremely nervous. Motorcycles are heavy machines. I imagined myself (and my family) careening on runaway motorcycles. But with Rich and Muaini leading the class, we could not have been in better hands! Clear instruction. Encouragement. Tips to grow you just outside your comfort zone. I walked away not wanting the class to end. Sign up! Just do it!

Instead of teaching with patience, the main instructor, Wayne, cursed at me and yelled whenever I made a mistake. Maybe he wasn't as harsh with everyone, but how he treated me made me feel unwelcome and singled out. I'm young, and while I can't say that was the reason, it's hard not to wonder if it played a part. The rules felt impossible. There was a moment where he was showing me something on my bike, I looked down to see what he was doing, and got scolded for looking down. Those kinds of contradictions happened over and over. Instead of helping me learn, the constant criticism just made me more nervous and more likely to mess up. By the end, I wasn't learning, I was just trying not to get yelled at again. It killed any excitement I had for motorcycles, and I never want to see one again. For a class that's supposed to welcome beginners, this was the opposite. The instructor seemed more focused on punishing mistakes rather than actually teaching, which makes the price feel completely unjustified. If you are a new rider hoping to gain skills and confidence, this is not the place for it. I strongly recommend finding a school where the instructors actually want to teach, guide, and encourage you. Anywhere else will be a better investment of both your time and money. Everyone deserves a learning environment where they feel safe, respected, and encouraged not one where they leave feeling anxious, belittled, and ready to give up entirely.

Everything went incredibly well from the very beginning. Mrs Tulloch was great to work with for scheduling the lessons. I appreciate how she answered every question and thoroughly explained each step in the process. My grandson had his first ten lessons with Mr. Snyder and his last seven lessons with Mr. Tulloch before taking the road test. He was well prepared and passed the road test on the first try with "no errors ". My grandson is also a great driver, so I can definitely say the lessons were worth every single penny spent. Thank you so much!

So many driving schools in the area are corrupt- they take your money, take your student for a quick drive, and issue them their license, just to rack up as many students ($$) as possible, and your child/student learns nothing. That is definitely not the case with Ashburn Driving School! Mr. Tulloch is extremely thorough and he takes his job seriously and we could not be more thankful. By the time our students completed Mr. Tulloch's sessions, they were much more informed and very confident that they could handle any situation they come across on the roads. We all know the Ashburn area is not an easy place to learn to drive, so why would anyone want to take a shortcut with those other driving schools? I mean, you are taking the lives of your children in your hands if you have not prepared them as best you can, and that is why Ashburn Driving School was the only choice for us. Mr. Tulloch really cares about your kids and he wants to see them become good drivers, so he runs them through a battery of tests and lessons such as learning how to evade trouble by taking the car off the road, then getting the car back on the road. No other driving school is this thorough, I can promise you that. We all want our kids to be safe, it is scary enough to be the parents of teen drivers, so it is best to give them the best instruction possible and to our family, there is simply no other choice. Thank you to Lyle and Cathy Tulloch for operating a truly great driving school.

It was a fun experience…read more I always thought I could just get started by watching videos online on how to tile or do other things, but it's very hard to start. I thought this would be a much better way to start learning. Being able to be up close and have someone watch for common mistakes is really much better in getting started. You learn about a lot of different materials. You learn about common pitfalls that happens in the real world. You get to feel the consistency of the thunder, grout, and techniques for laying. You get to use a tile cutter (score and snap and power grinding). It was a unique experience for me. But also an eye opening experience. I was afraid to get started and now I am excited to take more classes until I feel comfortable tackling a project myself. I will be back for the flooring and waterproofing classes.

While YouTube and online tutorials are helpful, nothing compares to real hands on experience. In the backsplash course, you actually get to prime drywall, cut tile, and install it on a real wall, not just watch someone else do it. It's practical, immersive, and incredibly empowering. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable. You can tell they've been in the trade for many years. They take the time to clearly demonstrate each step, explain the "why" behind what you're doing, and guide you along the way. They're supportive and always ready to help, but they make sure you're the one doing the work, which builds real confidence. My only regret is not finding this place sooner. I definitely could have avoided some costly mistakes and extra work on previous DIY projects if I had taken these classes first. I highly recommend this shop to anyone tackling a home project or just wanting to learn a new skill. The space is super clean, well organized, and fully stocked with all the tools you need. They even provide beverages and snacks, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. Fantastic experience all around.
