This is the 2nd time we have used Ashburn Driving School / Mr. Lyle Tulloch and I honestly say, we have been extremely pleased with the results in both cases. Almost 2 years ago my daughter who had probably 150 hours of driving due to all the long trips we took, still learned tips and how to parallel park with Mr. Tulloch. My husband and I were very satisfied with the detail and focus on ensuring she would be a good driver. My son only had about 55 hours logged and just completed his hours with Mr. Tulloch. I am so lucky to find Ashburn Driving School. I'm very new for drving, and quite worried about driving, but the instructor is so patient and a very professional man, he always encourages me and keep giving me all the skills and driving knowledges wherever in the parking lot, or on the road. During 1 and half hr driving class, he uses every minute try to teach me as good as he can. Now I feel more confident and happy, he is such a wonderful instructor. I chose an awful driving school a few months ago, his bad attitide and bad behavour almost destroy my learning will. It took me a few months to start over again. I moved to USA for less than one year, he is the real American I admire; He is the real American spirit I admire too. I'll love this country more and more because many people like him. read more

I am so so happy that we decided to put in the extra effort and choose Ashburn Driving School, even though we live in Herndon and there are closer options. Lyle is so very good at what he does! He is kind and patient and explains fully what to expect. He is very thorough, teaching everything the DMV requires and then some (like evasive driving). Because he holds his students to high standards, I feel confident that my daughter is a very well-trained driver. She knows things I was never taught. I love being comfortable letting her drive herself and trusting that she will be safe. It was worth driving out to Ashburn and then some. My younger son just completed his course, and Lyle was fantastic! My son wasn't too happy about using a different instructor than his older brother and all his friends, but I was committed to finding an instructor who took his job seriously and complied with Virginia law. Lyle is the best. Two of my children have received their licenses through Ashburn Driving School and my husband & I are much more assured of their safety because of it. When our older children took similar classes, we never got the impression that either instructor took the obligation seriously. Lyle even flunked my son after his first test, God bless him. He wants the teens to be safe & responsible drivers for everyone's safety. This driving school is awesome! My daughter just completed "Behind the Wheel" with Lyle and got her license yesterday. I feel like she really learned all the rules and laws of the road. Although, I spent the 45 hours driving with her, Lyle really fine tuned her skills. This company is very professional and thorough and makes certain the kids meet the requirements in order to get their license. We strongly recommend Lyle as a "Behind the Wheel" instructor. His office was very clear on how the program works and what to expect. We met prior to the start of lessons with our son and Lyle explained the program and expectations. My son's schedule is very busy and Lyle was more than accommodating working with us to fit him in. My son completed Lyle's 7 day driving course earlier this year. To say the least, I was not impressed. He would come home everyday crying and begging me to let him quit. From what I hear, my son tells me he is a very verbally abusive man and firmly believes in negative reinforcement. This man is not suitable to teach children how to learn. read more
