So many driving schools in the area are corrupt- they take your money, take your student for a quick drive, and issue them their license, just to rack up as many students ($$) as possible, and your child/student learns nothing. That is definitely not the case with Ashburn Driving School! Mr. Tulloch is extremely thorough and he takes his job seriously and we could not be more thankful. By the time our students completed Mr. Tulloch's sessions, they were much more informed and very confident that they could handle any situation they come across on the roads. We all know the Ashburn area is not an easy place to learn to drive, so why would anyone want to take a shortcut with those other driving schools? I mean, you are taking the lives of your children in your hands if you have not prepared them as best you can, and that is why Ashburn Driving School was the only choice for us. Mr. Tulloch really cares about your kids and he wants to see them become good drivers, so he runs them through a battery of tests and lessons such as learning how to evade trouble by taking the car off the road, then getting the car back on the road. No other driving school is this thorough, I can promise you that. We all want our kids to be safe, it is scary enough to be the parents of teen drivers, so it is best to give them the best instruction possible and to our family, there is simply no other choice. I first registered my son with Star Driving School for "Behind the Wheel Course" on 27 Dec. The…read morecommunications with very unprofessional from the beginning as they did not know who they were communicating with at every contact, (they kept referring to my son as she). After registering two separate times on their website, and several text messages of when the lesson would begin, I had to introduce myself (via text) and ask who was the instructor and give my location information all over again. Sitara Khan finally introduced herself as the instructor, and made arrangement to begin lesson on 16 Jan 2023 between 4:30 and 5;00PM. On the day the lesson were to begin, 16 Jan 2023 at 8:09AM, Sitara Khan texted and asked if we can go earlier because she just realized it was MLK Jr. Holiday. We agreed on 1:00PM at her request. After adjusting schedules, Sitara Khan did not show up as scheduled. After 10 min later, I texted to asked if we were still scheduled for 1:00. She texted back to explain that another student was driving slow and nervous (that is to be expected), but was on the way. Sitara Khan did finally show up at 1:45 with the student driving (I was standing outside waiting and watching as they drove up). At that point I had serious concerns with their decision making and safety, along with their unprofessionalism. As I was under the impression this is why these are scheduled time (as some student need more time than others). I cancelled our services with Sitara Khan and The Star Driving School.

As an added plus, even free of charge, Linda would speak with us (the parents) after each lesson to tell us the major points to focus on for our daughter's driving development. Before we found Linda, our daughter was very apprehensive and nervous about driving in the area and with Linda's calm demeanor and thorough knowledge of safety and Virginia traffic law, we are reassured we made a great investment in picking Tags.

I went on Yelp and found Safe Driving School. The lady was pleasant, so I went ahead and signed her up. That same evening my daughter was driving. The driving instructor was beyond knowledgeable and kind. Unlike the other driving school instructor, he knew where he was going and wasn't constantly looking at his phone. He also spent the entire time with my daughter and gave her some tips that I am even going to use. It was definitely a different experience, and I can't say enough good things about Safe Driving School.

Online classes: admittedly these are very, very long and kind of boring. They are what they are…read more In-car lessons: these went well. Always started on time and finished on time. The quality of instructors has a quality mix to it, but most were very good. Also, if you like an instructor, you can try to schedule more lessons with that specific instructor, which was helpful. It can be difficult to find lessons when and where you want, but if you book far enough ahead of time, you can generally find several reasonable options. General communications: Every time we called the company for help, they were very responsive and always friendly. Overall, I would say our experience was very positive, and I would use them again if I need to and would recommend them.

He'll put on a video and when it ends, we have to wait between 5 and 15 minutes for him to come back. This is excruciating. It's like detention. The class started 45 minutes late. Then we spent a full hour on introductions- 20 people going around the room stating their name and why they were here. Then Kaz gave each individual person advice- "get a lawyer" were his words of wisdom for most people. "Drive better" was his response for everyone else. If you're looking to actually learn anything from a driving class, don't come here. If you just want to get the certificate and don't care about your experience, go for it. Kaz is a professional and an expert at colossally wasting people's time. Don't get me wrong. I'm here because I got a speeding ticket and the court mandated that I take a driver improvement class. If this class were offered by the DMV and it was free, then all of this BS would be fine. But AA Driving Academy is a private business that I paid for a product--an 8-hour driving class--and the product is horrible.
