Unfortunately, my experience with the doctor was different. I came in years ago while dealing with a health issue I had never experienced before. I was understandably very anxious and overwhelmed at the time. I recognize that I was under a great deal of stress, but much of that came from being scared and unfamiliar with what was happening to my health. I was looking for guidance, reassurance, and someone who would listen to what I was experiencing. I was given certain protocols to follow, and I did my best to follow them as instructed. Unfortunately, they did not work for me and actually caused additional issues. What was especially difficult was feeling that my concerns were dismissed because the same approach had worked for other patients. I understand that a treatment may be successful for many people, but every person and every body is different. When something wasn't working for me, I really needed to feel heard and taken seriously. I'm sure the doctor has helped many people and that others may have had very different experiences. I can only speak to my own. For me, the experience left me feeling unheard and invalidated during a time when I was already scared and vulnerable. The appointments were also quite expensive, which added to my disappointment. I hesitated for a long time before writing this because I don't like leaving negative reviews, especially after so many years. However, the experience had a lasting impact on me, and I still carry some of those feelings today. I hope that sharing my experience can serve as a reminder of how important it is for patients to feel heard, especially when they are struggling or when a treatment is not working as expected. I genuinely wish the doctor and the practice well, and I remain very grateful to the staff for the kindness they always showed me.

First thing to keep in mind if you're a guy- don't get intimidated. You will be mostly surrounded by women- that's not a bad thing. You haven't wandered off course or anything. They will take care of you just the same. I walked to the back where they have their shot bar and shyly asked about the cleanse shots. I happen to be doing a 3-day cleanse with Choice Superfood bar and Juicery in Carlsbad (more about them in another review) and as a part of the package (from Choice) the purchaser gets a free shot. I chose the detox, as was recommended. Seeing as how I was doing a cleanse, it made sense. A quick sign off on the liability release form and I was whisked away to a private curtain off to the side. I was administered my quick (and painless!) shot...and that was it. These cleanse things are new to me, but overall I have lost a decent amount of weight and am sleeping like the dead. I plan on keeping this up and I will certainly be back. They have shots for helping with hormones, lymph flow, energy boost, the whole gambit...and I.V.s if you're hardcore, I guess (I kinda want to try that too). We walked into the lobby around 6:00 p.m. and stood there for quite a while because the front desk was completely unattended. Eventually, a staff member walked out, seemingly unable to read the room. She stared at us with a glazed-over expression and an odd smile. She asked what was wrong, and I explained that my daughter had injured her hand and needed an X-ray. She responded, verbatim: "He's busy right now but will be out soon." Who is "he"? A doctor? A provider? We had no idea. She then disappeared into the back without having us check in, collect our information, or fill out any paperwork, leaving us standing alone in the empty lobby. After waiting even longer, I called the front desk from my phone, hoping it would prompt someone to come out. The phone rang twice with no answer. I called again, and the same employee answered with, "Hi, how may I help you?" I said, "I'm standing in the lobby. Is anyone going to help us?" There wasn't a single other patient in the waiting room. She finally came back out and asked what insurance we had--which they accepted--but continued moving at an incredibly slow pace. At that point, I asked, "Can you tell me where there's a real urgent care?" We left and went to Scripps instead, where my daughter received prompt, professional care. This was one of the most bizarre and frustrating healthcare experiences I've ever had. If your child has an urgent injury, I would not recommend coming here. Definitely a scam!
