Such a great spot for a coffee moment! I have to say I'm obsessed with their blue butterfly pea powder latte! It low key may be placebo effect or something but it really did make me feel calmer! It's delicious too, it has an earthiness to it that (at least for me) makes it taste better the more I sip it! I also really love the seaside which is a latte made from the blue butterfly pea powder and matcha! They've been really good about social distancing and the staff is always super friendly. New coffee spot in town! It's right across from the U of M stadium and if it were a "normal" year - this would be a premo location! I remember that this place used to be a tanning salon and I've been watching this as I drive/walk/bike by throughout the last year. They have a solid assortment of drinks (your usuals and fun ones IG worthy ones) and food (crepes, pastries). Assortment & vibe reminds me of madcap in GR/Downtown Detroit or atomic in Rotal. However, they don't seem to roast their own beans, but rather source from local spots. I came on the 2nd day of opening and they had a couple customer, but it took a bit longer as they get the process/flow down! Ordered an iced latte and it was solid. No complaints. Note that it only comes in 1 size & is $5.50. A bit steeper than my usual, but happy to support a new local business especially with the product is quality like it is here! read more

Drip House Coffee is a nice coffee shop in Ann Arbor! I wish it was around when I lived on Stadium, but it's still great to see that cool new options are popping up around town. The location is solid and their menu is what you'd expect from a coffee shop of this style. Make sure to check out the specials to see if anything interesting is on the menu (seasonal drinks, etc.) The drinks are good (albeit a bit on the sweet side), and the location is definitely one of the big draws. It's walk-able from a lot of residential areas, but the parking lot is decently sized for the size of the coffee shop. There's a good amount of outdoor seating and you'll often find people working or reading outside. Additionally they're taking the pandemic seriously, requiring masks indoors and they'll bring you your food/ drinks outside while you wait. I've been to more coffee shops than restaurants in my lifetime so you know I had to stop at the newest place on the block! Great new coffeehouse right across from the Big House with quite a lot of parking (yay!) and plenty of seating indoors and out. It is kind of hard to exit the parking lot, but at least there are two ways to get in and out so that helps. I had a lavender latte with oat milk and their marbled biscotti. The biscotti was fresh and not too crunchy or hard. I realized after I finished the latte that I couldn't really taste any lavender per say, it pretty much got lost in the coffee, which was really good regardless. I would definitely come back to try their other drinks. The barista was very friendly and enthusiastic in helping me choose a drink to try. read more

Decided to stop into Drip House with a friend and ended up getting a drink and a pastry. I got the seasonal Pisces matcha-chai drink with almond milk. I really liked it! I thought it was a great blend of flavors. The chocolate raspberry croissant was also so good! The raspberry jam on the inside pairs so well with the chocolate. I came here a lot this past summer to study and do work with my friends. It's a cute coffee shop with great aesthetics - overall, pretty minimalistic with lots of great seating! I love the big high-top tables; they have charging ports on the edge of the tables that make it real convenient. The place is busy during brunch/lunch time, but dies down in the afternoon. My only caveat is that the wifi was pretty spotty the times I've gone. Occasionally, there are baristas in training, so they give out free lattes here and there! I'd say the drinks here are pretty average and overpriced. But really, you're paying for the vibes and aesthetic coffee and colors. My go-to drink is the drip coffee since it's only $2 for a 12 oz, lol. The lattes are at least $5-6, and I personally like the drip more. I enjoy black coffee, so sipping on the drip while working is the move for me. They have the option of a dark and light roast drip, so for me, my pick depends on whether I want something fruity & bright or chocolatey & smoky. I also love their food items here! The avocado toast is pretty solid, and I hear their bagel sandwiches are tasty and starts at a reasonable price of $5 - which is literally cheaper than their some of their lattes. read more

good place to study, good prices for food and baked goods looked appetizing, but I just got a nitro cold brew which was rather strong and bitter in flavor, not bad tasting but definitely on the stronger side, good if your into that sorta thing plain but I eventually asked for some almond milk to make the drink less strong and the girl at the counter gave it to me free of charge despite me offering to pay. I appreciate the level of customer service in accommodating a customer to make the drink more pleasing, I certainly do like black coffee but when its super strong like this place id recommend adding milk or maybe a sweetener if you don't like you cold brew quite strong. read more

I was excited to stop in and try this coffee shop-- good location, nice atmosphere, etc. On my first and only visit, I had an excellent cappuccino and vegan pastry. It's very unfortunate that the employees there (all very kind and talented) made it clear that the owner does not pay fair wages and that, after months of discussions, they were not being heard and were shortly departing to work at other local shops. As someone who has worked in customer service and has been similarly exploited, I know how easily business owners can get away with this behavior and I have absolutely zero tolerance for it as a consumer. For those that love this coffee shop, please know that the talented baristas who made your experience here in the past have not gone far-- just try Hyperion, RoosRoast, etc.! If you have any doubts as to the validity of the employees' concerns, please look into it further. (The drip house has done some PR pieces with local papers, but there is plenty of information in online forums attesting to the owners' behavior.) With so many wonderful coffee shops in Ann Arbor that do value and fairly compensate their employees, I advise others to skip the drip house. read more

I was able to try this coffee shop on a cold Michigan winter morning and I am so happy I did so. I tried some of the their pastries and bought coffee. Everything was exceptional. From their croissants, muffins, bagels to their lattes. The decor is very white and bright with windows and seating all around. I am a mocha latte person so I ordered their iced mocha latte. It was very creamy and chocolatey but you still get that espresso taste. My friend ordered their hot mocha latte and was just as easily impressed. I hope to be back soon. read more

This could be a great alternative to your normal coffee joint or common visits to Starbucks, but if it makes you feel better it's super tasty but possibly the same price or more. But that doesn't stop many people because every time I pass or enter this establishment myself, it is busy-busy. The downside to having such a popular place is that it might take a minute or two longer to get your order, but they do get things done relatively fast if not on time, but what can you do with a place that is demanding in many people's morning. I have seen it slow but it's never quiet and someone is always here ordering something. It is kind of small, but sometimes it can be a great thing if you want to be in this fast pace coffee atmosphere. There is also a small parking lot to match, so be mindful if you do come here during its busiest of hours. Every beverage I have tried I have truly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend checking out the drip house. They have great beverage options with coffee, smoothies, and teas so even non-coffee drinkers can find something to love. I like to get their cold brew with mocha and cream. Tables both inside and out are nice and there is a spacious parking lot. They have great bagel options. They offer other baked goods, I just haven't tried them. Two single occupancy bathrooms are clean and maintained. Their music is sort of like a bar ambiance - loud enough so you feel like your conversation isn't being overheard by everyone but still good for studying. A great neighborhood coffee shop! read more

If someone is visiting Ann Arbor and loves coffee, I always make sure to take them to drip house. The view of the big house is unreal and such a fun vibe inside this coffee house. The aesthetic is very clean and trendy and is just far enough off campus that it isn't over run by students and parking is easy to find. Their pastries, avocado toast, and sandwiches are always very tasty and always feel worth the price to me. There are two draw backs for me. I don't love the lack of reliable seating, especially in the winter when outside seating is not an option. Additionally, the ice coffee lids are pretty impractical. Overall, if you love creative/trendy coffee drinks in a minimalist space, this is a great Ann Arbor option! read more
