Wow! Ace Roofing really saved the day for us during our home sale…read more We were in the middle of selling our house here in Austin when a roof inspection came back with a laundry list of repairs. After getting a few estimates, Ace Roofing was the clear winner. What really earned the 5 stars: The Price: Their quote was significantly more affordable than the initial inspection report estimates. It made a huge difference in our closing costs. The Owner Connection: I was impressed that DJ, the owner, actually came out to our house to meet us personally. You don't see that kind of local, hands-on service much anymore. The Paperwork: Garry, the project manager, provided full photos and documentation of all the work they accomplished. Having those photos to show the buyers gave them peace of mind that the work was done well. If you're looking for an honest, reliable roofer in the Austin area who won't overcharge you, definitely give these guys a call. So glad I reached out to them!

I wanted to choose a company that is licensed exclusively for inspections, and Rick answered my inquiry right away. He was able to schedule an appointment for me the same day and took the time to answer all my questions and educate me about what to expect throughout each stage of the process. The inspection report and protocol Rick prepared were clear and easy to follow. He and his office assistant were both very responsive to our calls and emails, and he was available to communicate with the remediator we hired. When it was time for the post-remediation inspection, Rick graciously accommodated us during a busy time so that we could wrap up the remediation as soon as possible. Naturally, finding a large area of mold damage is an inherently high-anxiety experience, but Rick's explanations and expertise helped alleviate much of the worry. Even though I had already begun researching local remediators, I decided to ask Rick if he might share the names of any that he trusts and likes working with. He happily obliged and sent some referrals, one of which I ultimately hired. While I hope we don't ever need to hire a mold inspector again in the future, I have every confidence in Rick and Fusion Environmental and can recommend them without reservation.

The Austin Fusion team of Rick Weir, Mold Inspection Consultant, and Chantell Kirwyn (Tamer of Details) were outstanding in their interactions with us throughout the entire process. 2 hours ago New In…read moreSeptember (2024), we contracted either Elegant Outdoor Living (EOL) for the construction of a spa, outdoor kitchen and fire pit at our home located in New Braunfels, Texas. Although our initial impression of EOL's performance was favorable, this impression would not last. In our contact we knowingly agreed to a milestone payment schedule that was favorable to EOL: that is, a payment schedule that was not tied to the completion of work but tied to the beginning of certain work. This was a mistake. In April (2025), after multiple renegotiations of the final cost and schedule to complete the work, we terminated our agreement with EOL for cause. We based our decision to terminate on the following: (1) the failure of EOL to provide the labor resources necessary to complete the work; (2) the failure of EOL to provide certain materials necessary to complete the work although payment for those materials had been paid-in-full; and, (3) the apparent failure of EOL to pay certain of EOL's subcontractors for work performed although said work had been paid-in-full to EOL. As of the date of this review, one of EOL's subcontractors has notified us of their intention to place a mechanics lien against our property until EOL's failure to pay is remedied. Our experience with Elegant Outdoor Living has been problematic and disappointing.
