What initially created the need for the call was a gas fireplace that would not ignite I had previously tried ChatGPT, called a chimney sweep company, and even called the previous owner of my house, all to no avail. Within a few minutes of of arriving, Jordan was able to locate the hidden shut off for the gas fireplace and get it working pretty promptly. While here, he was able to notice a couple of other things that needed attention. My tankless water heater had been installed incorrectly by the previous plumber, and the technicians from Hukill's were able to manage that. And also, when it came to a clogged sink in our master bathroom, they were able to address that as well. By the end of our time together I had heard some good stories from Jordan, I was able to practice my French with Joseph and most importantly had a lot of small annoyances cleared up (literally) leaving my home in better functioning order than when they arrived. Hiring SWAT Restoration to work on my home was one of the worst decisions I've ever made as a…read morehomeowner. What should have been a straightforward restoration project quickly became a disorganized, frustrating, and damaging experience that dragged on for months. From the very beginning, their team assured me that the tile in my home would be "easy to find" and could be replaced seamlessly. Based on that promise, they tore into the walls and began demolition. Only after the damage was done did they admit they could no longer locate the tile and began the tile-matching process months later--a process that should have happened before the job even started. Throughout the project, the team assigned to my home changed repeatedly--passing from Landry, to Ashley, and now Brandon. With every handoff, communication broke down further, and I found myself constantly having to re-explain issues that should have been properly documented and followed up on internally. The quality of the work performed was consistently substandard: * Walls had to be retextured three separate times due to broken tools and poor workmanship. * Tiling was ripped out and redone three times, using the wrong tile and poor installation techniques. * The shower pan had to be rebuilt three times, again due to unacceptable quality. * A toilet was broken, and the wall behind it was cracked--neither of which was repaired or acknowledged despite multiple notifications. * There were over 10 occasions where crews either didn't show up at all or arrived hours late, with no notice or explanation. * On multiple visits, the team brought incorrect or missing materials, stalling the job completely. After months of delays, excuses, and do-overs, I received a tone-deaf response offering only two options--find my own tile or accept a refund for the tile area--without a single apology or ownership of how poorly the job has been handled. No reference to the damage caused, the wasted time, or the multiple reworks. Just a shrug and a menu of bad choices. SWAT Restoration has shown a complete lack of professionalism, project management, and quality control. Even now, basic issues I raised weeks ago remain unresolved. I've wasted time, money, and energy dealing with what can only be described as a chaotic, careless operation. If you value your home, your time, and your sanity--do not hire this company.

Everything seemed ok, until they came to remove their fans/dehumidifiers equipment-- then never answered their phone and never calling back, even rejecting calls from the insurance adjuster. Because of this, the insurance contracted another water/mold remediation company to finish the job. Five months later, I received a call out of the blue by this SurfPro company location. First words out of her mouth was arrogant and demanding-- that I owe them $xx,xxx because they could not contact my insurance company (5 months delay ... my phone is on file with them, so why didn't call me months earlier?) I gave them my agent's office number and received call back that my insurance found my policy and no claims have been filed on my policy. They called back while I was talking to the adjuster in charge of the claim. When I made the call 3-way, SurfPro hung up rudely saying she will not talk to my insurance in a 3-way call where there is a witness to the conversation. SurfPro refused to call back the adjuster to solve this problem, but instead said SurfPro is finished with insurance claim, and will be sending a Demand Letter threatening court lawsuit if I personally dont forget insurance and pay their invoice out of my personal funds. I repeated the claims number three times, and SurfPro told me to shut-up, they they know how to file a claim to insurance. After I called for Insurance legal department, the insurance adjuster called them because they refused to call the adjuster (like just after they left with equipment), and suddenly everything became ok -- telling him that they had the wrong claim number after verifying the number as being correct with me several times!!! SO VERY DISHONEST (Insurance has no record of SurfPro ever calling about my policy claims -- all calls are logged into computer and audio recorded to be attached to the computerized report). SO VERY RUDE. Trying to manipulate me using threats of court lawsuit because they never submitted a claim to begin with, faking having a wrong claim number after three times verifying it with me!!!
