I hired them to replace my roof gutters and some siding. They started on the work then disappeared for a few days. The project manager said the crew that had started had been deported but he found another crew to finish. He added in siding touch-ups and paint for the whole exterior to make it up. Later on I found leaks on my roof due to the vents being installed backwards and several exposed nails. I called several times until I finally got someone honest enough to tell me what the issue was. They reluctantly fixed the vents and just put some caulking over the exposed nails. Years later when my 5 yr warranty is about to expire I called them because of a leak around my chimney. They took about 3 weeks to send someone out to take a look at it, during the wettest May in history. By this time my insurance had sent someone who said it wasn't weather damage. The 3rd party contractor JNT sent said it was a problem with the flashing which wasn't replaced. A week later I heard nothing from JNT and had to call back and forth again. JNT said it was weather damage. I told them that their contractor and my insurance adjustor disagreed. About another week goes by and they agree it was flashing but that wasn't covered in our original contract. I'm also out of luck because they don't know how to work with stucco. I had no idea they were going to lay the roof and do a half assed job since they don't even work with stucco. Basically horrible service any time I've had to deal with them. read more

My house in Frisco was pounded with hail. I'm thinking "hail no!" After the hail storm I set off to get a few inspections and quotes. Eric of JNT stood out from the rest because he was professional and knowledgeable, not to mention the competitive quote they drew up. He made a potentially hard situation, easy. JNT developers does great work! They have to the best and most honest roofers in Dallas. They repaired about 5 houses in my neighborhood after a big hail storm 3 years ago. All their roofs still look great. Some of the others don't look good. They made sure to do the job 100% so the roof lasts. Taking care of all the little things like flashing, waterproofing and vents. They educate you too. Did you know a roof needs to "breath" or it will fall apart quickly. But they are more than roofers. They are general contractors. A friend of mine had them do some work on their house. It looked great. And my friend is still very happy with JNT developers. read more

Great Fence at a reasonable price!! After months and months of going through many companies to replace our fence, I finally found a company that not only did an excellent job, but did the work at a very reasonable price. There were a few things I wanted to change and Jamie took care of them in record time. The most impressive event was that at the end of every work day they ensured that the fence was secure for the dog, so I didn't have to worry about her going out into the backyard. STAY AWAY! Great when they get your money, but if there are any issues after that... forget about it! This will be the first time in long time that I've had to leave a negative review. In March of 2017, JNT Developers installed a new roof at my home for $15,000 that was paid in full. On May 27, 2019, I reached out to them concerning water damage found on my dining room ceiling wall. My insurance adjuster came out and noticed that the roof just above where the damage is located didn't have the proper flashing in the valley where water would be prone to collect. I asked Brandi Williams to send me the original warranty agreement, which I still have yet to receive, as she mistakenly attached the wrong file in 2017. Instead, she asked me to sign a new agreement, in which there would be a $250 fee assessed if JNT Developers, Inc. determined that the damages were not the fault of workmanship. This was not contained in the original agreement and Brandi stated that they updated it late 2017 without informing me. Further, they came out previously to fix unrelated issues with the roof and never mentioned a $250 fee. Fortunately, the next day May 29, 2019, Mark Robinette stepped in and said to ignore this fee and that he would schedule something with me. Over the course of several days multiple texts and emails were exchanged and Mark scheduled a visit to the house on June 4. I had my insurance adjuster come out again to meet him, but unfortunately Mark was not able to meet at the scheduled time due to a doctor's appointment for his son. The adjuster again made note of the flashing issue on the roof that is just above the dining room where the water damage is. Further, the insurance adjuster noted that while there was hail damage, it was mostly cosmetic. The adjuster offered to speak with Mark and meet with him and from my understanding they did converse. Not hearing back from Mark, I followed up in an email on June 19, 2019, about a week after they had talked. I did not receive a response from anyone at JNT Developers, neither Eric or Mark. On June 24, I contacted Mark via text and asked if he could provide me with a good contact or an update, as when we met in person on June 4th he informed me that he had put in his two weeks' notice and would be leaving the company. He gave me Brandi's contact info and said that JNT Developers are planning to "fight back on it stating that the warranty is now void because of excessive amount of hail damage..." Based on this information, I reached out to Eric, Brandi and included Mark via email. Not hearing any response, I sent another email on June 28, 2019 to Brandi, Mark, Eric, Jorge Abreu, Tasha Abreu, Jonathan Sherwood and David Hopkins. I've received a response from Brandi stating that she is working with Jorge and Mark and will come up with a resolution before the end of the day (6/28). They are now saying they want to schedule ANOTHER inspection! read more

I needed to have my roof replaced and a water spot on the ceiling repaired. I coordinated to have my insurance adjuster and the JNT estimator here at the same time. Received my insurance amount and was waiting for the estimate from JNT. JNT took photos but were always reluctant to even give me a ballpark cost. The second visit from JNT a week later and still no estimate but talk and discussing more problems not even related to the repairs I needed. I called another company. read more

David came to do hail inspection, new roof not needed but he talked me into doing a Roof TuneUp for over $700. Since the TuneUp I have had shingles coming off the roof. I asked David to come buy and He stood me up 2 times no show/no call. Will not use this company again. read more

I'm a real estate investor and hired JNT to remodel a house I flipped in 2013-14. In short, I encountered all of the nightmare scenarios that you hear about with shady general contractors: poor quality work, multiple missed deadlines (and by multiple I mean one after another after another), and lousy/nonexistent communication about the status of the project. The owner of the company, Jorge Abreu (he goes by "George"), even admitted to me in an email that JNT did a lousy job, while at the same time stating that I was "an excellent customer". I should have turned a very solid profit on this flip, but ended up losing money specifically because of the problems I had with JNT. When I tried to sell the house, it fell out of contract THREE times because of problems with JNT's work that were discovered by the buyers' inspectors. When I contacted Jorge and explained the problems I was having, he told me I should have given JNT more time to fix the problems. All this, despite already giving them WAY more time than was stipulated in the contract and, like I said, missing repeated deadlines. When I brought this to Jorge's attention, he said that change orders were the reason the project was so far behind schedule. If you know anything about construction or remodeling, you'd know that these change orders should not have taken ANYWHERE NEAR the additional time that they did. NOT EVEN CLOSE. While JNT did offer to compensate me for the problems they caused, the amount they offered was absolutely laughable. It wasn't even close to what they actually cost me. I would pursue legal action against JNT, but after seeing how poorly the company is managed, I'd be shocked if they actually were able to pay a settlement after losing in court, which means I'd then be out thousands more in legal fees. I'm sure Jorge, or someone from JNT, will respond to this review and try to somehow twist things around to put the blame on me. But like I said, Jorge admitted to me in writing that they did a lousy job. I have documented proof of EVERYTHING I've written above. I'm absolutely certain I could win in court if I chose to pursue that path, but I'm far less confident that JNT could pay. So I'm here writing this review instead. There are tons of general contractors in DFW. Trust me, you can find plenty that are better than JNT. read more

Josh Sanchez and JNT were very easy to deal with and the company did an excellent job replacing our roof and gutters. In fact, we were so impressed with them, that we also had them replace some rotted wood that we had around the house as well as replace part of our wooden fence. Not sure about all these positive reviews, but mine is real and anyone who wants to know this company is welcomed to contact me direct. Jorge Abreu ignores problems and his staff will do the same. I had my roof installed by JNT about 3 years ago. About a year after I got a leak and in one room, but I did not suspect the roof, so I just fixed it myself. Got another big leak, I called JNT. There was no response for several days and got nothing but run around. After I posted a review, they called and showed up several days later. They misdiagnosed the problem and I ended up spending $2500 to get rid of skylight and repair the roof. Josh Sanchez charged for items they did not do and gave credit only after they got caught red-handed. The leaks did not stop and this time Sebastian Montanez showed up and his excuse was the house is old ( it is 40 year old home) , the leak is small, and it is not a big deal. This company never sent anyone to check the work, supervise or inspect the work. You never see them after they get the money. They did not stand behind the work and warranty. Their answer to leaks is dumping silicone or caulking on the roof. Sebastian Montanez answer to leak is: 1. it's a small leak 2. house is old. Josh Sanchez will add stuff to your bill, charge you for it and not do it. You have to hire a supervisor / manager/ contractor just to watch over these people. I promise you, once Jorge Abreu cashes your check, you will never hear from him or their incompetent sales people / staff. read more
