    Hardwood Flooring
    Lindsey C.

No home building experience is without hassle, but Randy at Drexel Interiors made right on any issue that arose. We had our main floor finished with natural hand scraped hardwood and ceramic tile, the second level is carpeted. Our walk in shower was tiled to match the flooring and our kitchen backsplash was done from the same line as well. We LOVE our new home and without their patience and expertise I don't think we could have chosen such cohesive products on our own! Thanks Randy, you're the man!

Showroom floor.. the staged Kitchens and bathrooms give you great ideas.

We recently completed a shower replacement project, upgrading the hardware, flooring, and tilework,…read moreand installing new dual showerheads with a hand wand. The Kohler hardware was purchased from Donnie Briggs at Kohler, and the tilework and installation was done by Mark Groce. Mark has strong attention to detail from getting the grout mix and color to carefully placing each tile. The process could take a while since some of the items needed may need to be custom cut. We're incredibly happy with the craftsmanship and quality of the finished shower. I highly recommend both Donnie Briggs for hardware and Mark Groce for his construction/installation work and both of them are great with design and attention to detail. I recommend future clients to be involved in the construction process, as it helps with communication and decisions. I would gladly work with both Donnie and Mark again for any future projects.

She knew it wasn't returnable and didn't give me the heads up that I shouldn't take a chance that it wouldn't fit and I would be stuck with it. On top of that, she told the contractor that I wanted the brick tile stacked in my shower when I explicitly told her that I wanted it horizontal brick pattern. So I'm stuck with that too. Even after I spent all that money at the Kohler store the manager and the owner, Joe Rotskoff, were such jerks and acknowledge how I was misled and ripped off. I would not recommend anybody to deal with the Kohler store in Indianapolis.

We are absolutely blown away by the amazing experience we had with Superior Bath Systems. From our…read moreinitial contact to the installation follow up, every single person involved was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional; we felt very taken care of by this company. David L was our initial poc and I should've known something was special about him when he kept pulling more and more items out of a moderately sized bag like a magician with rabbits. He came to our home and worked with us on what we needed versus preferences - including concerns and potential issues we didn't even think of. His time and focus on our project was just the beginning of our walkin shower journey. Our second poc was Carrie who is exceptionally competent at the "office" side of the business; she managed the inner workings and even made direct contact with the VA for us so that we wouldn't be stuck in the middle. Her affable nature and consistent communication made this part of the process - which I thought would be the worst - easy and stress free. Our materials took some time to come in but we never felt forgotten during those weeks. And then installation day came! Our expert installer, David H, literally sealed the deal for us. He was so respectful of our home and genuinely a delight to work with. He is well versed in this industry and his skills are beyond compare. I was impressed that he knew the answers to most of our questions but of the few he didn't know, he called someone who did to provide us with accurate information instead of just making something up. We were extremely pleased with his personality and his workmanship. In the end, we got an outstanding new bathroom shower with zero hiccups and complete confidence in Superior Bath Systems. We could not have found such a unique and positive experience with any other company; I am sure of it. I would give this company far more stars if I could; definitely recommend. Thank you to everyone who made this happen for us!

Whatever that's fine... I found it odd the salesman wanted to show me sooo many options via text and only brought 2 to my house to look at it in person. I really liked one of the options though so it worked out. Scheduling was easy, the team was at our house on time to install, and were done in a couple hours. That said, I'm pretty confident in my assessment that the floors that were installed were not what I picked out. What I picked was very light, grey, almost concrete looking. What was installed was very dark and a lot of brown tones... it's like it's the same style but the wrong color was ordered. I mentioned this to both the project manager and the salesman, neither acknowledge me. For that reason I wouldn't use them again and unlikely to recommend to my family and friends.

When we decided to go ahead with the project, the entire team came to my house, plumbing, electrician, etc. to assure that what the designer had presented was all doable. Our designer, Dani, was excellent at accommodating all our wishes and our project manager, Ryan, was very thorough and communicative. The actual project was mostly completed while we were out of town, but through their app and texts, we received pictures and questions every step of the way. At the end, every minor detail was attended to and we couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. I highly recommend this company for your remodeling project!

My wife has been talking about wanting a makeover for her bathroom (technically it's ours, but let's get real!) I thought I would stop in and see what they might have. Turns out this place designs kitchens and baths and actually had a few rooms set up to help those who need to see real spaces to get a feel for them. Although I think our bath is limited without major construction challenges, I will keep this place in mind since it is licensed and insured and the displays looked appealing. But what really occupied my time here was checking out their extensive supply of Big Green Eggs. Seriously, where I live, it takes less time to get to Ellettsville than it does to get to Sullivan's Hardware on the northeast side (and less traffic too!) One of the two owners of the business came out to greet me when I entered and we started chatting about these state of the art grilling stations. My friend swears by his egg, so I decided to check out what makes them different. Turns out the owner I dealt with has been competitively grilling for a long time and I was impressed that he took time to answer many questions, steer me towards some You Tube videos for ideas, and even mentioned Sullivan's annual cooking competition as a place to buy lightly used equipment at a nice savings to get started. He was SO Helpful! Although I didn't buy one on my visit, I would have no qualms about returning here when I decide to pull the trigger on a purchase. (These aren't cheap grills since they are molded ceramic containers and can weigh hundreds of pounds.) From the business's website and Facebook page, they do encourage making an appointment if you wish to talk design for your kitchen and/or bath makeover. But if you just want to stop by for grilling supplies, they will be glad to hook you up! Review #3494

I'll try to explain this "Not Good" rating as briefly as possible. If there was an option for…read more"Sucked" it would be more appropriate. In short, this man took my $2000 deposit, and over nearly two years (pre-COVID), failed to complete a single task in the contract. I asked for my money back and sent a demand letter. Dave gave excuses such as other jobs running over, personal injuries/limitations, family health issues, etc. He complained about how many times he had to come to my house to talk about the plans. While I admit that I did have an evolving vision that sometimes needed a face to face discussion, most of his trips were for his benefit, not mine (e.g., had to re-measure several times and even asked me to take measures to send). He stated that his right to keep the deposit was based on work already done. I never saw anything done. He also tried to withhold some of my items as "collateral" and in legal terms, that's called theft. I eventually had to make a trip to his workshop to pick up my property. I cannot speak to the quality of Dave's work, but I can share with you that he took advantage of someone in a state of grieving. I felt bad for each of his reasons as to why he couldn't finish the project because I was in a fragile state. In hindsight, I was manipulated. Dave may respond to this with unsubstantiated excuses. Near the end of my correspondence wit Dave, he sent me a final invoice that was $4000 over my quoted price stating that the job had caused him extra work and travel that was not anticipate. Again, I share with you that he NEVER DID ANYTHING in my house. Please choose a different carpenter to save yourself some time and money, and some very likely heartache.

I was recently…read morehired as the GC for a major kitchen remodel for one of my clients, which involved stripping the kitchen down to the studs. The client chose Cabinetry Ideas (located in Indianapolis, near her home) for the custom kitchen cabinets because of their proximity and showroom. While I typically partner with my preferred cabinet provider (Anderson Amish Cabinets), I respected her decision for choosing Cabinetry Ideas. In my 22+ years as a contractor, I have never encountered so many errors and issues from a cabinet supplier. The problems were numerous and significant: * two cabinets arrived with incorrect depths: one specified at 18" came in at 24", and one specified at 24" came in at 12". * A critical dimension error on a run that was supposed to be 106.5" -- their drawings incorrectly showed 107.5", which required remaking an entire cabinet and resulted in two filler panels being wrong. This altered the profile and appearance of the corner cooktop area. * On the island, CAD dimension issues compounded problems, affecting a panel and three additional fillers. Throughout the process, Cabinetry Ideas refused to take ownership for their mistakes and continued to blame their cabinet manufacture (Corsi). Resolving the issues was extremely challenging and time-consuming. It required constant coordination to keep the project on track, yet the timeline still had to be extended by three weeks due to these delays. This experience was frustrating for me as the GC, for my trim carpenters--who had to repeatedly explain and work around the errors and most importantly the client. I would not recommend Cabinetry Ideas. If you're considering them for custom cabinetry, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere to avoid similar headaches. I am presenting this post with factual information and I have not deviated from the issues.
