Stopped in for lunch on a Friday. We ordered the gnocchi trio and the two meatballs. Everything was delicious. Service was kind and attentive. If you're looking for a comfort meal and a really cute setting, this is the place!

The pesto linguini is delicious! I loved the sauce. I'm giving it 4 stars because the quantity isn't a lot for the price. You'd need to order additional protein and garlic bread on top of the pasta if you'd like to be full (like my friend's dish in the photo). I had to eat something afterwards... We sat outside as it was a summer night so I didn't go inside the restaurant... But from what I saw it looked nice.

Visited Ottawa from Toronto with some family and decided to have dinner here on our first night. The place itself is pretty small, but they do have some outdoor seating. All the servers were very nice and helpful. There was a bit of a wait when we got there and they handed us some menus to look over while they arranged our table. We ordered the brussels sprouts and cheesy garlic bread to start. The brussels were tender and were coated in a delicious dressing that had a hint of freshness to it. Cheesy garlic bread was a hit because you cant really go wrong with bread and cheese. It was a bit pricey for only 4 slices but it was honestly so good that we even ordered a second round. I highly recommend the creamy pesto pasta and rose all day. Pasta was cooked perfectly and each sauce was flavourful. We also ordered cocktails but unfortunately we weren't a big fan of any of them so I would just stick to this place for the food!

Very very good pasta!!! This is my second visit and I can't wait to go back again. I got the pesto Mac and cheese both times and it's heavenly! Beautiful restaurant inside; the tables are shaped like raviolis! The service was super attentive and polite. Everything was super delicious.

This place popped up in an article about the best restaurants in Ottawa and it looked so appealing! Due to covid, only the patio was open but it wasn't too cold so I had no problem sitting outside. My group entered and ordered ahead of time and got seated and received the food in about 45 minutes which felt a bit long because we were very hungry. We ordered the cheesy bread and the regular garlic bread which were so good! I wish it came with more pieces. I ordered the classic bucatini meatballs and the classic Mac and cheese. Both were comforting and warm and delicious. I just felt they were also a bit too ordinary for the price. I could feel the homemade aspect of it but nothing that made it really stand out. Which is why the 4 stars. The service was friendly and the patio very inviting.

This place is a little gem, truly! We discovered Dreamland Cafe earlier in the fall when COVID restrictions allowed for indoor dining, but have since ordered for take out on many a night. I have yet to have a bad dish from them. Friends and I have tried the following and all and truly fantastic: -Puttanesca (the vegetarian, the vegan and the version with added sausage which comes recommended by Dreamland Cafe) -Vegan Pesto -Creamy Pesto -Butternutnsquash gnocchi (special) -regular mac and cheese -pesto mac and cheese -pistachio cake -carrot cake sonday Their vegan pasta dishes don't lack flavour. They are truly simply dairy free, vegetarian option with an egg less pasta. They are well balanced and one could honestly not tell if didn't know it was vegan (I for one do not tend to order meaty pasta most days anyways). BUT... You can customize your dish with added meat and veggies! Making whatever dish you order customizable to your own taste. If ordering out, I suggest ordering from their website as you will have more options (including added veggies, converting to an egg less pasta, etc) than using a third party delivery service (on top of supporting local businesses without the added fees for these type of services). Finally, the staff is truly lovely! Well rounded place and a must in our (not so) short list of regular local businesses that we support

A nice spot in Little Italy for pasta. The patio dining was nice and the service was prompt. We ordered the Dippers to start and the buttery garlic bread was delicious! Comes with 4 and served with amazing sauces - tomato sauce, pesto and balsamic. The pesto was very fresh and the tomato sauce was nice and rich. I had the Shrimply Summer pasta. The portion looks small at first for the price $18 but it was very tasty and filling. Pro tip - order an extra side of garlic bread to use up the rest of the sauces from the dipper appetizer!

Went to Dreamland cafe for the first time yesterday and wow sooo good! The restaurant is soo cute and intimate(theres only about 5 tables so you should probably make a reservation beforehand). The service was great and staff was very friendly and the food is yummy! I got the meatballs as an appetizer to share and it was soo good! Comes with 3 meatballs, tons of tomato sauce with parmesan cheese and garlic bread dippers. There was a ton of extra sauce to dip the bread in which is great! My friend got the large creamy pesto ($19) and I got the large carbonara ($23). I think its definitely worth it to upgrade to a large pasta for $3 that way you will have leftovers for lunch (which tasted just as good the next day heated in a skillet). I also heard that the regular size was kinda small. But the Creamy Pesto WOW that is the best pesto pasta I've tried, I can definitely see why its a crowd favourite and would definitely order again. I was skeptical at first since its nut free but it surpassed my expectations. The carbonara was good but I wouldn't order it again personally because I really preferred the creamy pesto. The cocktails are a bit pricy ($15) but we got the raspberry house lemon soda ($4). We both really liked it. It is more citrusy than anticipated but still really good. Just not as fruity/raspberry as some might expect. Overall such a cute, intimate restaurant, great service, tasty pasta and decent prices. I would definitely go again and try the Alfredo and mac and cheese! Also Its a women owned and women run restaurant which I love!

This place is so friggin good! I got the rose pasta and grilled cheese and I'm in love! If you've been wanting to try this place just do it! I ordered my meal on uber eats and the food came hot and packaged neatly. The also left a cute post-it note with my order! I'll definitely be going back :)

10:09am and still closed. Apparently Dreamland is still in the land of dreams.

Unfortunately we were unable to sample the fare at this cute establishment. Showed up at 10:09am on a rainy Sunday morning to find them still closed with a sandwich bored locked inside proudly displayed an opening of 10:00am for brunch. So the one star is for the disservice of not opening as per the posted hours.

After I ate the amazing salad, which had romaine lettuce, parmesan, and croutons. The salad was also pretty good, and I ate it pretty fast. Odd choice. Salad was solid as was the pesto pasta. But the chicken parm was way to thick, gloppy and not that great. Looking around the restaurant, I saw other gloppy looking food. In any case, this seems like a restaurant it is better to stick with the pasta (a word also pronunced differently in Canada, lol.)

A few people had mentioned this place but there were zero reservations available until the following week. So... I called and asked if they could squeeze in a party of two. They were so incredibly accommodating! We had a table for dinner within a minute of me calling. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly valet attendants. The hostess led us to our table, and our incredible dining experience began. We were greeted by Karsten, our waiter, who had the biggest smile I have seen in all of Ottawa. His customer service was unmatched! He offered a solution for each complication and made us feel like royalty. 1000000/5 for the customer service here! Drinks: Old Fashioned: 5/5. A great job done on a classic beverage. Giovanni's: 5/5. I love tequila and love trying a martini that allows the flavor of the tequila to shine with a hint of fruit. Sauvignon Blanc (Family Tree, Canada): 5/5. A crisp, white wine that is refreshing and was the perfect accompaniment to the carbonara. Chianti (Caposaldo, Tuscany, Italy): 5/5. A beautiful, deep, red wine that went perfect with the lamb and lasagna. I may or may not have a case of this wine on order after dinner... Food: Calamari Fritti: 4/5. I loved how crispy the calamari was, but I feel as though the batter needed a little bit more seasoning. Just a little bit more. Bruschetta: 4/5. I needed a little more flavor in this. The bread was also slightly soggy. But otherwise, the tomatoes were fresh! Lasagna: 5/5. This platter was INSANE. I'm still getting used to Canadian portion sizes. This could've fed 2-3 people. It was delicious. The lasagna was finished in the oven, so the top of it was extra crispy (literally the best). Highly recommend this dish! Spaghetti Alla Carbonara: 5/5. I have to order the carbonara if it's on the menu. This one was incredible. The flavors, the consistency, the lightness of it... everything. I was in heaven with every possible bite. One thing I loved about this dish was that it was not heavy like most carbonara's are. I enjoyed every bite! This was also a 1/2 order, which was still massive. Costolette D'Agnello (Rack of Lamb): 5/5. I rarely ever see lamb on the menu at restaurants and was so excited to try this one. IT WAS YUMMY. I got the 1/2 order of this because we were already ordering so much food. Im so glad I did. It came with potato cakes, spinach, asparagus, and the best carrots. Delicious. Not to mention, the lamb was cooked to the perfect temperature. Forget a 5/5, this dish was a 50000/5. Bravo!

Luckily I didn't come in at a crazy time. The service was quick and friendly. I started off with the sourdough bread with cultured butter. I loved that it was the right size where you don't end up full on bread. The cultured butter was a nice touch but they didn't offer just a chunk where you feel you have to use all of it. (the difference is cultured butter has more flavour and a bit tangy). For the main I decided to go the red pie road and ordered the Sweet Tony. My oh my how delicious this was. That hot honey really added some fun flavour that cut through the Fior di Latte and the basil added that freshness it needed. We were seated at a table in the inside of the restaurant, which was actually quite warm as the main doors were open, which minimized the coolness from the air conditioner. We were served by a nice middle-aged gentleman, whom provided us with menus upon arriving, giving us ample time to decide. Since we weren't too hungry, we settled on sliced bread with butter (which was $8.00), and a margarita pizza. The bread had a strange burnt taste to it however, with the butter, the burnt taste wasn't as apparent. Also, the amount of seeds on the bread's crust were overwhelming, which made us mostly taste the seeds as opposed to the bread itself. We also found the price much too high for sliced bread; many restaurants provide sliced bread for free however, this restaurant charged an exuberant amount for it. The margarita pizza looked appetizing upon viewing it for the first time however, once we had bitten into it, the cheese on the top was overwhelmingly salty. We were surprised, as margarita pizza usually doesn't have cheese that is that salty. As well, the price for this pizza was $20 +, which once again, we found much too expensive for what we were receiving. Overall, we wouldn't come back to this particular restaurant. Although the service was attentive and the atmosphere was inviting, the food wasn't very good, and it was overpriced. We certainly wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for an authentic Italian meal.

However, once we stepped into the restaurant, we knew that it would be a tad pricey. We were the only ones in the restaurant at the time when we arrived therefore, we were given a round table near the window. Once we were seated, we each received a menu, and settled on our items. The restaurant itself was quite fancy, with the servers wearing formal attire, and the table setting/wall decor boasting an expensive flair. Once we had settled on our meals, we were given a basket of nicely warmed bread, with olive oil mixed with vinegar, along with peppers and olives on the side. The bread was amazing, and we were able to ask for seconds. The basket was never full, as we continuously ate what was placed inside of it. It was a great start to the meal! Once our main dishes arrived, we were surprised to see how much food was included. The chicken cutlet was quite large, with my son unable to finish it. It was also tasty, as I had tried a few bites. My daughter's meatball however had a strange spice which didn't sit well with her. As well, the dish that my mother and I had settled on had various pieces of burnt pasta, and it wasn't too appetizing. Since the prices were so high for each of the dishes, we were surprised that the taste wasn't adequate. Since we had such a positive experience with the complimentary bread, we expected the same for the main meal. However, we weren't too pleased with most of the items we had ordered. I have to give kudos to the service at this restaurant, as we were always doted on, from start to finish. We even saw the manager (or owner) come out to greet all of the guests individually.
