Another amazing meal and experience at La Dolce Vita. The dining room is quaint with a visit from the chef to ensure that everything meets your expectations. The best part is that the gluten free menu is nearly identical with the traditional menu and you can dine knowing that everyone working there understands how to prepare and serve gluten free with most meals costing the same as the normal meals!

Went with my girlfriend for supper here last September, absolutely incredible! Atmosphere was very intimate, friendly accommodating staff and the food was absolutely delicious! Lots of gluten free options if you have this allergy, the owner (or chef) spoke with us personally and even acknowledged us when we "checked in" on Facebook. High recommend and worth every penny, you won't be disappointed! * Hint, hint guys...

The bruschetta and pasta dishes are super delicious! I had the al funghi and would have it again. The place is really cute and intimate. The waiters and host are super friendly.

I came here with my family to have a nice sit down dinner. The food was spectacular. I ordered a chicken parmesan with Alfredo and beyond delicious. The bruschetta was incredible as well. The tomato melts in your mouth with a hint of salt and pepper and pesto. We also ordered a large pizza the new york and pepperoni. Super good and very flavorful as well. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. On point with everything we would ask for. The service at this restaurant is amazing. Only good things to say about this restaurant. Also have gluten free options.

This place is absolutely wonderful. It's so hard these days to find somewhere that's celiac safe, but I trust this lovely restaurant as they are so careful and have dedicated gf menu. All my food tasted delicious, even the non gluten free people enjoyed their meals. Will definitely be coming back here soon, this has got to be one of my favourite, if not, favourite restaurants!

So my ball and chain kept talking about some awesome Italian place in Little Italy, downstairs from something or other, but couldn't remember the name.. no clue what he was talking about whatsoever. We decided to go for a walk down Preston, and realized that this place was it! There are stairs that lead to a sort of lower level where La Dolce Vita is located. Once you see it, you'll know what I'm talking about. When we saw all of the ingredients packed into the calzones, we knew for sure that we were each going to order one. We were absolutely starving, so we decided rather quickly. I got the Fruitti Di Mare (Seafoood) calzone, with baby shrimp, scallops, lobster, and smoked salmon. He got the Salsiccia Italiana (Italian Sausage) calzone, with mushrooms and hot peppers. All calzones come with garden salads. The calzones were huge. I ate half, and had to take the other half home. Just the right amount of crispness on the outside, and soft and gooey on the inside. It was almost sourdoughish if flavor, which I really enjoyed, and it was filled with all of the ingredients we ordered, including a generous amount of cheese. Super tasty, especially with a bit of the herbed olive oil, balsamic vinegar, chili flakes, and parmesan cheese they have at the table. The side salads were actually larger than I expected, with a lemony olive oil and vinegar dressing. Couldn't resist the gelato for dessert, so I got pistachio (my favorite!). Pistachio flavored, with pistachios in it - YUM! And it came with three scoops?! Wow, was I spoiled. Service was great, and the prices seemed a bit high at first, but when you see the amount of food, it's totally worth it. Intimate setting, so it was a nice dinner date for us, but I think there's a small room in the corner for larger groups. We will definitely return! Oh, and they're also on just-eat.ca to order online for delivery ;) 2/30 #30DaysOfYelp

Dinner out with the girls is what brought us to this tasty place. It is in the basement of a building but don't let that dissuade you from visiting. The food was terrific-and tasted homemade, the portions generous as well, and cheesecake to die for. I give three stars for 1-service was just ok-waited forever to order wine of which there are not too many to choose from and 2-presentation was odd-buns for garlic bread, chili pepper oil and bread plates on the table but no bread? No offer for more drinks after one glass-just a few oddities that can't get me to give 4 stars. I will go back for sure, but maybe for takeout.

This isn't a good place. Food was microwaved, salad was wilted and clearly hadn't been cleaned.

The restaurant is cuter inside than I thought. There are some window seats for people-watching on bank st. There are also some hanging lights by the windows. The pizza crust has the perfect crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside texture. It's so good it doesn't even need any dip. I tried both the nerd pizza and the mushroom pizza. The nerd pizza had pickled onions, black pepper molasses bacon, cheese and chili Basil honey. I loved the tangy pickled onions, with the salty-sweet bacon, and the spicy honey. The combination was just perfection. I could use a little more chili though! The mushroom pizza was a white pizza with portobello mushrooms, parm, and truffle oil. The salty parm and the meaty portebello mushrooms were a good combo, but I didn't really taste any truffle oil. I felt like this pizza was good but missing a little something to take it to the next level. Overall, the food was delicious. The drinks are reasonably priced (beer, local kombucha). However, the service was mediocre. I think they only had one or two servers working the entire area on Friday night.

I live really close by but for some reason have never tried Georgie's until recently. I got some…read moretakeout for my husband and I to share. I got a Hot Turkey sandwich platter $13.75 and a slice of Donair pizza $4. They sell pizzas by the slice, but they are not displayed so you have to ask them what kinds they have. The day I went, if I remember correctly, they had 4 types: Cheese, Pepperoni, Bacon and Donair. Slices are $4 each or $5 with a can of pop. 2 slices is $8 or $9 with a can of pop, so no discount if you buy more. However, they do have a pickup discount, which is the equivalent amount to the taxes you would pay. So essentially if you pick up, they pay the tax :) The Hot Turkey sandwich platter was really good. It came with fries and coleslaw. I liked that the coleslaw was vinegar based and not mayo based. It was mostly cabbage with a bit of carrot. I enjoyed it. The fries were just regular fries but they were crispy and good. The sandwich had real turkey breast meat in it (can you believe that I once ordered a hot turkey sandwich and it was a deli meat turkey sandwich covered in gravy?!? Obviously not at this restaurant, lol). The bread was the regular white sandwich bread, but what really set this sandwich apart was the delicious peppery gravy. Man, that stuff is really good! The pizza was good too. They put toppings under the cheese here, which is not my preference, but I still enjoyed it. The donair was thick pieces and tasted more like sausage, but it was still good. The sauce has a distinct flavour to it, which I can't pinpoint, but I liked it. The crust was crispy and even though the crust was thicker than I usually like, I still enjoyed it. I liked that the slice came in a cute cardboard box. The platter came in an aluminum container, but the lid was styrofoam. I'm not a fan of styrofoam, I would have preferred a foil-backed cardboard lid. Service was friendly and I got my food pretty quickly. The restaurant is a strip of businesses along Carling Ave just west of Churchill Ave N. There's free parking at the back of the strip. There's a sign and you have to turn in before you actually see the strip of businesses (Georgie's, Sapporo Sushi, and a few other businesses). If you turn into the parking lot after the strip, that one actually belongs to a different strip mall (the one with Markie's Smoked Meat and Mr. Sub). There are signs indicating you can only park there if you are going to a business in that strip mall. Not sure what enforcement is like, but why chance it if there's also free parking in the proper place, right? Since there's a huge median along this part of Carling Ave, you can only access the restaurant if you are driving westbound on Carling. Georgie's has its main entrance on Carling but there's also a back entrance from the parking lot.

Simply put...AWESOME PIZZA…read more I have ordered from here a few times and I'm embarrassed to say I neglected to review each time before now, I was typically so hungry I just jumped right in... alas I digress. I have had a few different types of pizzas here, in the end my favourite is the cheese. Yup, straight cheese. Seems basic, but the flavour is outstanding and the dough ball to keep the box from sticking to the cheese is a classically delicious touch. I really like the flavour combinations of the cheese with the sauce puts many other to shame. If you are in this end of the town, give this place a shot, you won't be disappointed. I'll be back for sure.
