Another amazing meal and experience at La Dolce Vita. The dining room is quaint with a visit from the chef to ensure that everything meets your expectations. The best part is that the gluten free menu is nearly identical with the traditional menu and you can dine knowing that everyone working there understands how to prepare and serve gluten free with most meals costing the same as the normal meals!

Went with my girlfriend for supper here last September, absolutely incredible! Atmosphere was very intimate, friendly accommodating staff and the food was absolutely delicious! Lots of gluten free options if you have this allergy, the owner (or chef) spoke with us personally and even acknowledged us when we "checked in" on Facebook. High recommend and worth every penny, you won't be disappointed! * Hint, hint guys...

The bruschetta and pasta dishes are super delicious! I had the al funghi and would have it again. The place is really cute and intimate. The waiters and host are super friendly.

I came here with my family to have a nice sit down dinner. The food was spectacular. I ordered a chicken parmesan with Alfredo and beyond delicious. The bruschetta was incredible as well. The tomato melts in your mouth with a hint of salt and pepper and pesto. We also ordered a large pizza the new york and pepperoni. Super good and very flavorful as well. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. On point with everything we would ask for. The service at this restaurant is amazing. Only good things to say about this restaurant. Also have gluten free options.

This place is absolutely wonderful. It's so hard these days to find somewhere that's celiac safe, but I trust this lovely restaurant as they are so careful and have dedicated gf menu. All my food tasted delicious, even the non gluten free people enjoyed their meals. Will definitely be coming back here soon, this has got to be one of my favourite, if not, favourite restaurants!

So my ball and chain kept talking about some awesome Italian place in Little Italy, downstairs from something or other, but couldn't remember the name.. no clue what he was talking about whatsoever. We decided to go for a walk down Preston, and realized that this place was it! There are stairs that lead to a sort of lower level where La Dolce Vita is located. Once you see it, you'll know what I'm talking about. When we saw all of the ingredients packed into the calzones, we knew for sure that we were each going to order one. We were absolutely starving, so we decided rather quickly. I got the Fruitti Di Mare (Seafoood) calzone, with baby shrimp, scallops, lobster, and smoked salmon. He got the Salsiccia Italiana (Italian Sausage) calzone, with mushrooms and hot peppers. All calzones come with garden salads. The calzones were huge. I ate half, and had to take the other half home. Just the right amount of crispness on the outside, and soft and gooey on the inside. It was almost sourdoughish if flavor, which I really enjoyed, and it was filled with all of the ingredients we ordered, including a generous amount of cheese. Super tasty, especially with a bit of the herbed olive oil, balsamic vinegar, chili flakes, and parmesan cheese they have at the table. The side salads were actually larger than I expected, with a lemony olive oil and vinegar dressing. Couldn't resist the gelato for dessert, so I got pistachio (my favorite!). Pistachio flavored, with pistachios in it - YUM! And it came with three scoops?! Wow, was I spoiled. Service was great, and the prices seemed a bit high at first, but when you see the amount of food, it's totally worth it. Intimate setting, so it was a nice dinner date for us, but I think there's a small room in the corner for larger groups. We will definitely return! Oh, and they're also on just-eat.ca to order online for delivery ;) 2/30 #30DaysOfYelp

Dinner out with the girls is what brought us to this tasty place. It is in the basement of a building but don't let that dissuade you from visiting. The food was terrific-and tasted homemade, the portions generous as well, and cheesecake to die for. I give three stars for 1-service was just ok-waited forever to order wine of which there are not too many to choose from and 2-presentation was odd-buns for garlic bread, chili pepper oil and bread plates on the table but no bread? No offer for more drinks after one glass-just a few oddities that can't get me to give 4 stars. I will go back for sure, but maybe for takeout.

This isn't a good place. Food was microwaved, salad was wilted and clearly hadn't been cleaned.

I've not returned until now. Went there last night with a group of 6 adults, specifically because they have Gluten Free options. While service was great and the food was overall find for the price, I'm struggling. My salad was mediocre - nothing special or exciting about it. My chicken burger was good, but - again - nothing special. I don't think anyone walked away with a 'that was the best burger ever' kind of feel. One person really liked their poutine while another person found their poutine had stale fries. A burger eater also noted stale fries. I want to be clear - a 3 star in Yelp is 'A-OK' and that's what this is. It's not special in my mind. It is a good location to eat with friends and have a drink. Decor is pleasant a bit more unified than when they first opened, with better use of space. We loved our waitress.

I love McDonald's nuggets, I mean who doesn't? I also understand that they're not good for you. Have you also realized that the quality has been in decline for some years now? G Burgers nuggets are what chicken nuggets should be, their nuggets are crispy, fresh, and yes, it's definitely 100% chicken breast, you can tell. I was only in Ottawa for the weekend, but I got nuggets from G Burger not once, but TWICE. They're good, trust me.

Though I was disappointed to find they no longer make those tacos, I tried the barbacoa, and it was amazing--one of the best tacos ever! On a Sunday night, it was not super busy but there were enough people that it didn't feel empty inside. A bit pricy but we also got drinks, and most trendy Mexican restaurants are like this these days. To start, I shared guac & chips - no complaints, we enjoyed and it was very fresh. The added tomatoes were nice. I ordered 3 tacos - the beef barbacoa was fine but the portion of dipping jus was tiny for 3 beef tacos. The best taco for me was the tuna tartare crispy taco. Loved the flavours and the fish was just delicious! My friends had the chicken tacos and said they were spicy but they liked them a lot. However, I did not enjoy the ox tongue taco and didn't finish it. I ordered it because all the reviews about it were so positive, but I didn't like how they just put two huge pieces of meat in a taco. It tasted very gamey and I didn't like the spongy texture either. The piña colada cocktail was yummy - I could taste fresh pineapple and it was very creamy.

We had to ask another waitress for salt and spicy oil for our pizza crust, as the waitress serving our table was no where in site. There was a bit of a wait to get a table but we took that as a sign it must be a good place. The ambiance was cute and it was a good breakfast place. THE FOOD: Breakfast Platter: - My fiancé ordered the breakfast platter and be really liked his dish. He found it very filling. It came with eggs, mixed vegetables, toast and jams. Omelette: - I ordered a gluten free omelette with their new gluten free toast on the side and it was the best gluten free bread I have had in a long time. The bread was made out of peas and it held together nicely and I believe it has a good amount of fiber. My omelette had everything in it except the cheese and I found it really good. I think it could have been made with one more egg so it would be more filling but I was really happy with my order. THE DRINKS: Coffee: - My fiancé really enjoyed his coffee because he found the flavour strong and dark; just the way he likes it. Vanilla Latte: - I'm not a huge coffee drinker and I found the vanilla latte very strong. I couldn't taste the vanilla and it didn't taste like a latte to me. The waitress added more vanilla and some sweetener, which made it better but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who prefers flavoured lattes at Starbucks. Would We Return? Possibly if I'm the area. They have a nice menu selection and it's in a good part of town.
