And on the 5th of September we were denied funding of 800,000 with a down payment of 50% we since then informed the seller/escrow company at the same time they informed us we were denied financing ( apparently they checked on my wife's employment more or less the same day she was laid off. We have been in the process of purchasing this home since March long story short finance company said the only way for us to procure finance was to do one of the following to which we are unable to provide 1) Provide proof check stubs New job ( she lost her job 3 to 4 days ago 2) Provide co signer 3) provide additional income sources When my wife asked Marie of Marchesa Escrow services for our good faith deposit of 10,000 usd Keep in mind My wife just lost her job. So guess what Marie does? a normal human would say sorry to hear about you losing you job but not Marie not only was she rude she did not express any empathy what so ever in fact she went on to say that there are other buyers and that she better come up with financing or she could loose everything I definitely would not recommend this business. I am in the process of retrieving my deposit via government realtor state agencies since i have proof in writing from marc homes and the escrow services so it looks like Marie is attempting to outright steal my money she also gave no reason other than because I said so
