Great spot! I remember frequenting their uptown location in the quadrangle about a couple of decades ago (yes, I'm old). This spot is a bit further out but still has similar vibes. I stopped by for breakfast on a weekday with a friend. We had a great time and sat out on their patio. Great food and service. I ended up getting an omelette and it was quite tasty. The coffees and teas are also delicious. The service is attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new go to brunch spot with nice outdoor seating.

40 years and 25 miles away from the original, the latest Dream Cafe waits. Go! In 1987 I heard about a great new place to have breakfast. In what is now known as uptown, a charming ring of boutique shops anchored an older but Gentrifying niche of Dallas. In the shade of downtown Dallas The Quadrangle was " the Place" to go back in the day. One reason was to eat at the unique Dream Cafe. Abundant portions of creatively delicious food in a relaxed environment, bottomless cups of gourmet coffee and what seemed like a football field sized lawn for the kids to play on. Jump to the new Richardson location for a try. It checks all the current boxes for a decent breakfast or brunch. A bonus is,they don't close at 2 pm as is common with the new crop of eateries. No,you can show up as late as 9 pm and enjoy wine, beer and a full bar with evening repast. A large, well designed and comfortable space awaits with plenty of smiling wait staff providing excellent service. A wide and varied menu I'm convinced, has something for everyone. My crab cakes Benedict was excellent and hit the late morning breakfast spot. My companion enjoyed the " Elvis"! An enormous biscuit holding, egg, sausage, white cheese all smothered in gravy with Bacon sprinkles. Lovely dish. I'll be back for both, lunch and dinner. What are you waiting for?

I have mentioned this before, I'm not a big breakfast person, so when I do go out to eat early in the morning it better be a good experience. And Dream Cafe was just that - it was really good. Their open space dinning room in warm colors of green and orange makes you feel right at home. The wait staff was everything you hoped for when eating breakfast. They were quick to seat you, the waiter was at our table within seconds getting our drinks, and our order was taken within a few minutes. The scrambled eggs were very tasty, and they had popovers for breakfast. Another great treat for my un-normal morning breakfast event. It was a great experience and I cannot wait to come back for more pop overs!

We stopped by for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised . We both got flavored lattes ( mine was half sweet ) . I got the crab cake Benedict and my friend got the wild child sandwich . Loved that lattes weren't too sweet at all . The Benedict was delicious just a little difficult to cut through and my friend loved her sandwich . They have indoor and outdoor seating . Service was good though it did take a bit for the food to come out . Would come back

Overall solid place for brunch! Staff was friendly and service was quick, not too many people when we went in Monday morning. We got the sunset helps which had eggs on a tostada with beans, hashbrown, salsa, guac and sour cream. The flavor was good and I liked the runny yolk of the eggs but I wish the ratio of beans and hashbrown were more balanced. The cloud cakes were nice and fluffy. Overall would be back to try some other dishes, solid pricing and ambiance as well.

The hubby and I are first timers ! Nice, clean spot. Fresh food, quick service, When we walked in the hostess only gave us the dinner menu, which immediately allowed disappointment to set in. We decided to ask the waiter if brunch was over and he surprisingly stated "No Everything's available !" We ordered and everything came quick, hot & fresh. I'll definitely come back !

I like the ambiance of Dream Cafe. Walking in, it feels a bit industrial, yet very woodsy. Wood and brick are the main interior construction materials here. I will give the interior a 4 rating. The food was really good. I got a ham and cheese omelette, and it came with hash browns and a delicious fresh popover with a very small strawberry butter. I quickly saw the lack of proportions would not satisfy me and asked the waiter for more. He said "no problem". But, apparently it WAS a problem because even with a reminder he still did not bring it. In fact, he came to pick up my plate, had it in his hand, and then I asked again, and this time, no apology or acknowledgment that I had already asked, just went and brought back some butter. The kicker now was he had taken my knife when he came to get dishes and cleared everyone else's plates. I did not bother to ask, just spread the butter on the other part of the popover with a another piece of popover. I did not complain, as I don't know where his head was this morning, or what he is going though, but he was not fully engaged. Review #2152

We ordered the dream Benedict and the ham and cheese omelette. The omelette was cooked perfectly and was made with a white cheese. The ham was nice and tender. My wife liked the Benedict also. Restaurant is spacious and modern but open ceiling makes it very noisy. Service was very good .

Two mornings in a row, my husband and I had a consistent flavorful and delicious breakfast. The coffee is better than any cup of Joe in the city. Our wonderful server Yessica was on point with the suggestions and quick service. Loving the name, because it really is a dream to come here, relax, enjoy the chill vibes and beautifully decorated space. Adding this to my best in the city breakfast spots bookmark! 10/10!

Service was great. Seated within 10 minutes after arrival on a Sunday at noon. Would come again.

I've been back several times and tried several dishes. All of them were good, most are exceptional. Service has always been good too. The only times it was really crowded was breakfast on weekends, but we still had immediate seating. Lunch was not a problem either, and sadly dinner it is kind of sparse with customers. I'm not sure why as their menu is as good for dinner as anytime!

I enjoyed my biscuit (Huge) and gravy and the hash browns were fantastic. My wife ordered the French toast and only ate one half piece. She also ordered the beignets and they also came up short. The service was just okay. We love the location but the service and overall quality of the food for the price came up short.

I ordered the green tea matcha latte- as you can see the drink is not very green at all. Just all milk to me.

The food was great. There was three of us and we always try out breakfast places-hence there's an extra egg on the left. Crab cake Benedict was something we don't see at other places and it's worth trying if you do like seafood. I felt like it had the right amount of crab for breakfast. Hashbrowns were good. The yogurt parfait was fresh and good amount of yogurt. The toast wasn't too bad at all. My friend ordered the carrot, apple and lemon juice (omitted the ginger since some two of us don't like ginger) she thought was ok. Green tea matcha latte is in the photo. My friend liked her chai tea latte. Overall food is not bad for pricing. Definitely better compared to honeyberry place off George bush. Service was good as well. Our server was attentive. The ambiance was nice and brightly lit. My friend (and I) love plants so we liked the fake succulent hanging at the front but maybe they can opt for real ones and add more to the space.

    Cookie and ice cream-yes please

They have free, unlimited internet, lots of different spots to settle into, and parking was relatively easy.
