So we took our business to Southwest Kitchen & Bath. From the beginning what was clear was the high quality of their cabinetry and kitchen systems. Zoe, our designer, came up with a gorgeous plan and was happy to work with our ideas. She created a beautiful kitchen design that exceeded our dreams. Donald, the owner, has a long background in construction, as well as creative vision. Kudos to Donald for twice resolving issues that other contractors said would be impossible. His focus is on making things right, and he does it with genuine caring. Colleen was immediately responsive with hardware ordering and kept the to-do list for our home front and center. Special thanks to Zoe, too, for coming up with a plan to modernize our bathrooms and hall closets in a way that was easy on the budget. With Southwest Kitchen & Bath, we had the full package of expertise, design knowhow and responsiveness. We take a breath now, every time we walk into the kitchen. It looks that gorgeous.

If you're expecting dedicated staff who pay attention to detail, you won't find it here. If you're looking for a company that prioritizes your best interests, I'd advise moving on. The idea that a small kitchen should be measured properly and completed within a reasonable timeframe is simply not part of their approach. If you want your kitchen to be the heart of your home without exceeding timelines and budgets, avoid this business. The prices are some of the most inflated prices in the local area - You can find better prices, business ethics, and much more competent employees with other companies in Tucson. Over the course of 8 months, there were constant staff changes--people were fired, reassigned, many people quit and the new hire PM was completely unprepared and had zero clue what she was talking about. So my designer got fired, I went through 2 different construction managers, four installers and the incompetent PM. While the owner himself handled a portion of the cabinet installation and was detailed in his work, that's where the positives ended. To make matters worse, I was required to pay 90% of the cabinet price three months before they even began making the necessary repairs and replacements. After the holidays I was contacted to pay the remaining 10% because they are in need of money for the business and I told them that I wasn't going to pay until the job was 100% complete. Also on the website it states "in business for 22 years." This is very misleading because the owner has only had the company for 3 years with only the name of the company being around for 22 years. Who does business like that? This company--Southwest Kitchen & Bath-- Is going to go out of business soon, and this business is one to avoid!!

We had a great experience working with Phil and his team on our project, love the way it turned out…read moreand have even gotten some very positive remarks from our neighbors. We met with Phil and let him know we had two projects one being to replace the asphalt driveway with pavers and to have pavers and artificial turf installed in the back yard. We walked the area explaining what we were thinking, and Phil have some very good design feedback to make the project look better and more functional. We have some drainage issues in the backyard, and Phil recommended installing a draining system with our paver walkway and showed us some examples of how he did this with other customers. Once started the project took two weeks and Phil sent out two crews, one to work on the driveway and the other to do the backyard. When the crews arrived, they had a basic idea of the project, and I was able to work with them to explain exactly what we were wanting done. Both crews were very communicative with us, and offered several suggestions that actually improved the design. We worked mostly with Oscar, Johnny and Juan and they all did an excellent job. They arrived at about 7:00am and usually left around 3:30 to 4:00pm. Since we were adding pavers to a previous patio area, the team did an exceptional job at weaving in the new pavers to blend in with the existing pavers. We chose to go with curving boarders and we are especially pleased with how the walkway to the pool turned out, the border around the back of the turf, as well as the pavers in front of our AZ room. We went with installing landscaping lights on the borders for the back and the driveway and they complement the lighting we already have and add more ambiance to the yard. Admittedly, the cost was a bit higher than another quote we received from a previously used contractor, but seeing how much work was done over the 2 weeks, the professionalism of the workers, the added features of lights and sealing the pavers, as well as the grading of the yard to help with drainage, it was well worth it. We now sit on our patio and enjoy the overall look of our yard and are very happy we worked with Phil, Blue Ribbon and his teams!

The estimator came out to see the job and sent an estimate when he said he would. The cost was reasonable and fair and thorough. The installer came and was very good at communicating the process and was quick to complete the work once we were scheduled. The materials they used were above adequate, the craftsmanship was above expectation and the final product was exactly what we wanted. It turned out perfect! So beautiful. For some backstory on this project-- We originally had hired a different company through our pool company (Premier Pools- who I would NEVER ever recommend them) to make a large metal flower bed. it was a calamity of disasters, poor quality and no follow through. The previous company tried to redo the work a second time and it was again a series of poor quality work. They were obviously not professionals. Finally after a second attempt, we decided they were just not capable of delivering the product we wanted and decided to find someone else NOT with Premier Pools. Needless to say, disappointed and a little weary, we sought to find a different company who could come in and make our vision come to life the right way. ROJO DID NOT DISAPPOINT! THEY ARE TRUE PROFESSIONALS, start to finish our experience with them was nothing short of 5 star. We are even considering some additional projects to have them help us with. I would trust them 110% with any project and at a fair cost.

He talked to his team and they were able to expedite my order of 4 doors (without surcharge)--the doors were installed just 3 days later (nearly 2 weeks early). This was above and beyond!
