Very visually appealing apartments. They LOOK like a nice place to live, built very recently. You…read morehave to pay what most people in the area have to pay monthly for their house. So with what you're paying you'd think the customer service would be top notch but that is not the case. When I moved in I put in a few maintenance requests for flickering lights, broken door lock that wouldn't turn, sink sprayer was BROKEN and blasted water into the bottom of our sink cabinet. You would think these things would be tested and fixed before a new tenant moves in but considering they move people out, "clean" the apartment, and move new tenants in within 2 days I guess they just don't find that important enough to waste any time on! It took way too long for these things to be taken care of and a couple reminders to the office were also necessary. The maintenance man likes to come in and look around and not really do anything either. He came in to change my air filter while I was at work, I get home and the air filter is still visibly dirty. I go to the office and ask for the new air filter and why the handy man didn't change my air filter. Get this, he did come in and he marked on his little piece of paper that he changed my air filter and even noted that I have a cat. The office women have no explanation for what he was doing in my apartment so who knows. I had to buy cameras because of the Icon Apartments staff. Now lets say you move in and everything is in top shape nothing is wrong. You settle in for your first night and wake up in the middle of the night to your neighbors dog barking non stop until 6am when you leave for work. Well you may as well suck it up and live with it! The office workers very blatantly do not care. You may as well get used to that dog waking you up 3 hours before you're supposed to get up for work. Do not move here unless the things I've listed above sound like a real bang for your buck! ($1100+ for a one bedroom)

Also some people lack gym and phone etiquette. It is hard to concentrate and work out when people are sitting on the equipment talking on their phones. I have been here 9 months and it's been one issue after another. My first month I had a flood at 3…read moream in the morning. Maintenance was here within 20 minutes and they are great. My carpet was ripped up and I had about 13 fans blowing in here for about 5 or 6 days! Then a dehumidifier for about a week. So it was a fiasco and constant noise with the fans and my carpet was ripped in several places so it could dry. When the carpet was dry it had shrunk! They placed strips of a different color of carpet between the bedrooms and the living room and the pantry. There was about an inch gap between the carpet and the walls. The ceiling and areas of the walls were terrible and bubbled. So management came over after I called them and they agreed to get new carpet and a guy in here to fix the walls and ceiling. Then I had 4 windows that rain just came right in and flooded the window sills and down to my carpet. So they replaced all the windows! The parking here is absolutely awful! I'm a senior citizen so carrying my groceries sometimes is a struggle. Then I have 3 German Shepherds above me that weigh between 87 to 90 something pounds so if I manage to get 4 or 5 hours of sleep I'm lucky. They are young and up quite a bit later than me! Next problem is the pool! We have an area up front where anyone can park and walk right in to the complex! The pool is an amenity for the residents. I don't use the pool unless my 2 granddaughters come stay the night. I know most all the residents in my area and they're great. We all get along. Residents can only have 2 people with them in the pool! But all the people that don't live here come with groups of 5, 8 sometimes 13 of them in a group! I don't feel safe with my 2 young granddaughters and that many people that have no business here. If you complain they say we can't do anything about the pool! One time there was a girl (with no orange bracelet which you are supposed to have while in the pool) who was playing her radio so loud so I went out and calmly asked her if she could turn it down. She had another girl with her and 2 babies that couldn't have been any older than 3 months. They were drinking and they didn't live here. She started threatening me and cussing me out and said she was going to kill me. I called the office they came over said something to them and went back. There were 3 of us residents sitting on the wall visiting and the drunker she got the worse she got! We got up to leave and went over to the other side. Then they came thru and this girl puts her babies on the ground and is threatening us all! She was screaming so loud that at least 8 residents came out trying to calm her down. One girl is on the phone with our manager and another with the police department. The girl runs at one of the girls with us ready to hit her but she had her dog that started barking and going at her. Cindy the regional manager called me and her response was well Jasmine, Matt and I feel like you're trying to patrol the pool! That's it , that's their answer because again they say we have no control over the pool and if you complain you're the problem! There was also time when 13 people came in and again Jasmine and Matt came over and did ask them to leave and they went right back to the office while my 2 granddaughters and I were the only other ones in the pool and they were scared to death listening to these people threatening me and saying I'm going to pay and you'll be sorry as they leave! One neighbor called the corporate office to tell them what happened and they told her they are definitely responsible for the pool but they don't want us to complain, they don't want to hear about any of it so don't move here! Residents don't matter to them... !

I've officially lived here a year, and have enjoyed it!…read more First and foremost, it is impossible to find an apartment that has a dedicated maintenance staff... here at cascata, totally different. Maintenance in my opinion gets 10 stars. Whether it's simple (builder grade) AC break down, to dealing with my fear of black widows- maintenace (porter to be included) TRULY are the best. I don't request much but darn if they aren't there at every beck and call. My puppy runs to them every time they see them outside.....call that a sign. Bravo, many places dont have this luxury and for that, I am grateful. Most people on here complain of noise, and leasing issues. If you are a normal, responsible person that pays your rent on time- you'll find this place pretty nice. Sure, it's an apartment and the walls are thin- but find a property that is sound proof.....not gonna happen The office is quite pleasant and willing to exceed expectations! Only complaint would be hefty and unexpected renewal increase (told wouldn't be more than $15/yr) but maybe I got a sign on deal, who knows. Overall I love my place and feel comfortable living here :)
