Drawing Office Two was the place where many famous ocean liners (including the Titanic) were designed by the shipbuilding company Harland & Wolff. Today, the high-ceiling, barrel-vaulted room is home to a bar and restaurant with an elegant yet casual atmosphere. It's a great place to enjoy a drink or bite to eat, and feeling rather nautical, my pick from the menu was the Shipyard Chowder, a creamy curried soup made with corn, potatoes, carrots, and a surprisingly generous amount of mixed seafood including smoked haddock, salmon, hake, mussels, and prawns. The spices in the chowder were rather mild, but I especially liked the mussels and prawns, which gave the soup a nice seafood flavor. While the menu prices here were somewhat high, the historic atmosphere was the real highlight and the reason to come. read more
