If you're looking for a peaceful, magical, and completely free holiday experience in Utah, the Tree…read moreof Life in Draper City Park is an absolute must-see. This breathtaking willow tree is wrapped in over 1,000 strands of warm white LED lights, creating one of the most beautiful Christmas displays in the entire Salt Lake Valley. The moment you arrive, you're surrounded by a soft golden glow that instantly puts you in the holiday spirit. What makes the Tree of Life so special is its simplicity -- it's not a massive park full of displays or a loud commercial event. It's just one stunning tree, lit to perfection, that transforms the quiet park into a serene winter wonderland. Families stroll beneath the branches, couples take romantic photos, and visitors of all ages gather to enjoy the calm, cozy ambiance. The nearby illuminated bridge adds another dreamy touch and makes the whole scene even more picturesque. This spot has quickly become a beloved holiday tradition for many, and after visiting, it's easy to see why. It's peaceful, beautiful, easy to access, and perfect for a short outing that leaves you feeling refreshed and festive. I highly recommend adding the Tree of Life to your holiday bucket list! https://linktr.ee/reessroots

How long have I lived here and never visited the well-loved tree of life? Well, forever, really and…read morethat's a miss on my part. I've heard lots of people talk about this park, especially in the winter when it's all lit up with Christmas lights, and it wasn't until this year that I finally made it out there. The playground looked fun-although I didn't go try it myself. I figured that the parents of the kids playing might not appreciate some rando adult joining in with everyone. But if you have youngsters, or are one yourself, you'll find merriment and joy here. The trees were all lit up beautifully and the star of the show, of course, was mesmerizing. It might not be a multi-hour tour, but it's worth a visit. And it's free, so there's that!

It's in a beautiful location, higher up on the hill and provides you with some breathtaking views. We love how well kept the courts are and it doesn't seem to be as busy as some of the other ones in the valley (cough cough steer clear of the courts in Murray). Plenty of parking, plenty of open grass to run and play in, and it's right off Bangerter Highway--if you keep driving the windy road, you'll end up in Highland/Lehi area and that's beautiful too. I haven't seen any drinking fountains near the courts, but that's not to say they're not near the pavilions or park equipment--but I'd rather be safe than sorry and pack some extra water bottles. All in all, one of my new favorite areas. I can't wait to pack a picnic and return again soon! TIPS & TRICKS: * Lots of shade and benches, but you still don't want to forget sunscreen. * Because of the location, it's much more windy than normal, so be prepared to run a little harder!

The park is well maintained. There's also walking trails around the park. There's a pavilion, baseball park, and restrooms available for use. We will definitely be back to come play again.

The first amazing surprise is there was no entry fee! We entered the garden and quickly ran into another surprise- a human-sized chess board! My boys wanted to play a game against each other...didn't know it was going to take 45mins...but it was fun to sit and watch and listen to the birds chirping. We then continued our tour around the grounds and saw many wonderful plants, trees, bushes, flowers and more. The grounds are beautifully manicured! There some educational areas where you can learn more about irrigation, landscaping and design. To walk around the garden takes about 30mins, but we spent 1.5hrs here as we took a lot of pictures and asked some questions from the workers. The workers and volunteers were very gracious to answer our questions and teach us more about the garden. You can tell they love their job and they love visitors. At the end of the tour, I made sure to drop a little cash in their donation box. Thanks Conservation Garden Park for the great time!

They have great visual exhibits, labelling placards, and fun interactive activities. 10/10 worth the stop, and I can't believe this place is free to the public. We stopped in here to take some casual iPhone photos as a family since we don't see eachother everyday. (Photography requires a $10 pass) It was the perfect backdrop for what we were doing, and we had a great time exploring the gardens through the park along the way.

There's even a sort of tiny hydraulic elevator that's you don't find elsewhere. Overall the equipment caters to littler kids, but there is plenty to keep interest of older kids too. I wouldn't be thrilled about the idea of sending kids to this park without supervision...although it's not exactly 'ghetto' like other reviewers have said, there are some 'unsavory' characters hanging out around this particular part of town from time to time.

They seem to be cracking down on the teenage kids to come over to hang out, but in after school hours, you were definitely going to see them in the picnic area I will say, that the picnic area and the playgrounds, and restrooms, are a little more run down and haven't had a lot of sprucing up in the last several years, but they're still tidy and functional. Not necessarily a destination park, but super convenient if you're in the area and want a little green grass, shade, and fresh air.
