I found myself on the trail on a Sunday morning and crossed paths with plenty of other runners and joggers. We wanted to take advantage of the beautiful early June weather and found the Conservation Garden…read morePark just a few miles from our lunch spot. The first amazing surprise is there was no entry fee! We entered the garden and quickly ran into another surprise- a human-sized chess board! My boys wanted to play a game against each other...didn't know it was going to take 45mins...but it was fun to sit and watch and listen to the birds chirping. We then continued our tour around the grounds and saw many wonderful plants, trees, bushes, flowers and more. The grounds are beautifully manicured! There some educational areas where you can learn more about irrigation, landscaping and design. To walk around the garden takes about 30mins, but we spent 1.5hrs here as we took a lot of pictures and asked some questions from the workers. The workers and volunteers were very gracious to answer our questions and teach us more about the garden. You can tell they love their job and they love visitors. At the end of the tour, I made sure to drop a little cash in their donation box. Thanks Conservation Garden Park for the great time!

They have great visual exhibits, labelling placards, and fun interactive activities. 10/10 worth the stop, and I can't believe this place is free to the public. We stopped in here to take some casual iPhone photos as a family since we don't see eachother everyday. (Photography requires a $10 pass) It was the perfect backdrop for what we were doing, and we had a great time exploring the gardens through the park along the way.

The park welcomes every person no matter how old or how young they may be and provides access to their many different recreational activities like tennis court, beach volleyball pit, and various sizes of pavilions. Unlike the white house, the white house is not an attraction park at all; it's closed and not typically available to the public. The mini version of the white house is an elaborate attraction to every person that is interested in having a good time; alone, or with family, or with friends. On one side of the park, there is a small section in honor of all veterans who served the country with a statue. There are a lot of trees around the park that are easily viewed and it provides shade so allows people to take advantage to escape from the sun. The smell of nature is all around, and is difficult to explain but is similar to the combination of grass and trees that the breeze brings to the nose. The sound of birds singing in the background of children crying or laughing fills the air. The wind feels like a massage on the face and despite the evening is approaching the good weather lingers longer (unless is winter). If thirst is felt due to any activity or for any other circumstances, there are some water fountains that don't taste that bad. The park has a lot of that green space that is good for the soul and mental health. The infrastructure of the park allows for an ample amount of parking spaces which makes it the ideal location for big activities. The park appears completely clean; workers are employed by the city with the charge to fix any reported problem and clean any surface. The park even provides some tools for visitors to clean their own messes, like brooms, mops, and plastic bags. If the desire is to have a little space with the significant other but the children don't allow it, this park has a section for kids and gives the opportunity for the visitor to sit and enjoy the view of the children playing in the water park. For the convenience of the visitors, the park provides restrooms to minimize interruptions of enjoying the time at the park.

They have a little playground for toddlers with a slide and other cool obstacles. They also have a sand pit with diggers so you can add water and create mud for castles, a cool little beach feel I guess. For older kids, they have ample amounts of slides, obstacle courts, climbing, a zipline type thing, and more. They also have two full sets of swings, I think 12 total, with 2 out of the twelve being fit for toddlers. There is plenty of space to host parties, picnics, and more. They have basketball courts with adjustable rims so you can lower it for the little kids. They also have multiple tennis courts for tennis lovers as well. Plenty of open fields for frisbee, football, soccer, catch, running/walking your dog. Not to mention a dirt trail for the health enthusiast. I was there the other day and I saw a bunch of diggers, dozers, so they must be adding something new. All in all, this park is awesome. If you have been searching, look no further.

It's in a beautiful location, higher up on the hill and provides you with some breathtaking views. We love how well kept the courts are and it doesn't seem to be as busy as some of the other ones in the valley (cough cough steer clear of the courts in Murray). Plenty of parking, plenty of open grass to run and play in, and it's right off Bangerter Highway--if you keep driving the windy road, you'll end up in Highland/Lehi area and that's beautiful too. I haven't seen any drinking fountains near the courts, but that's not to say they're not near the pavilions or park equipment--but I'd rather be safe than sorry and pack some extra water bottles. All in all, one of my new favorite areas. I can't wait to pack a picnic and return again soon! TIPS & TRICKS: * Lots of shade and benches, but you still don't want to forget sunscreen. * Because of the location, it's much more windy than normal, so be prepared to run a little harder!
