The historic stone tower is incredibly unique and instantly catches your attention. Once I learned that it may have been built to help protect the Moyle family homestead during early pioneer settlement days, it made the entire experience even more interesting. The park is peaceful, clean, and very well maintained. I really appreciated that Alpine City has preserved these historic structures instead of letting them disappear over time. The museum and pioneer buildings help paint a picture of what life may have looked like for early settlers in Utah. I also loved learning about John Rowe Moyle and his connection to the Salt Lake Temple. Knowing that such an important historical figure once lived here adds another level of meaning to the visit. This is definitely a hidden gem for anyone who enjoys Utah history, photography, local museums, or unique roadside attractions. It's a quick stop, but one that leaves a lasting impression. Lambert Park is home to a beautiful field of poppies that you can find in the late spring for just…read morea few weeks. It's a fantastic little area that's a perfect backdrop for family photos, or just nature photos in general. The walk from the trailhead to the poppies is about a half mile, mostly flat terrain. Some kind folks have marked the path with red flags, making it easy to find the poppies. Without those flags, it would be tricky-so my gratitude goes our to these trail angels. Thank you! Once you get to the field, it's well marked and has some small rope barriers that keep you on the path and to protect the vegetation. There are a few seating areas and wide spaces were you could meander through the flowers, take some photos or just enjoy the serene nature. There are also signs in some areas just outside the poppies that identify rattlesnake habitats. I didn't see any nope ropes when I was there, but I stayed clear of areas that the signs pointed out. I'd recommend going early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Plus, watching the sun rise over the mountains is magnificent. I'm glad to have discovered this little park early enough in the season to catch a glimpse of the poppies. I hope you can too!

There is lots of shade provided from the trees, and there's a cute little stream that runs along next to it! There is also an area to play "frisbee golf" within the park. However, the goals are just painted poles with numbers attached. This park is perfect for playing sports, hosting a family reunion, eating a picnic, or resting in the shade on a Sunday afternoon. It's also a fun area to walk around, as there are 2 bridges over the stream, and the Cedar HIlls Parkway Trail runs right through it. It's nothing to be utterly amazed by, but it's a nice park for what it's worth.

Once through the paths, you come out to the small-ish lake where there's a path that leads you all the way around, with plenty of opportunities to go back out to another path. It was semi-busy when we went during a weekday afternoon, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I'd like to come back with my bike and to bring my dog back to possibly swim. I saw a swimming area, but people were fishing nearby, and I knew that my dog would ruin their game! Lovely for a solo / family or date outing on a sunny afternoon or sunsetting evening.

Practically had it all to ourselves. What a nice stroll. Sidewalk is clear of snow, except for the bridges. This truly is one of American Fork's best parks. Oh yes, I almost forgot. Yes there was flowing water in the creek. You know, the Dry Creek! And I have no idea why it says "Closed Now" online. Parking lot is open.

There is something here for everyone…read more They have lots of basketball courts (I think 6). What I love is that the hoops are adjustable so my young kids can make baskets. They have six pickleball courts that are always in fantastic condition. They also have a couple of tennis courts. The playground itself is super fun. My kids (3, 5, and 8) love climbing on all the different ropes and apparatuses and such as. They also have the little zipline things that you can sit on. Definitely a hit for youngsters and adults alike. In the summer they even have shave ice available for purchase. The Murdock Canal Trail goes right next to the park so you can go on a bike ride or walk right up to the park.
